Rendition is a serious topic but can Jake be serious through a whole interview? Especially Conan. And will Paul Schaffer (Letterman) try to put him back in the 'Bu?

  1. Wow, letters from both Tom and Me. Congragulations. And very clever of Ted to come up with Gray Goose for a name.

I've been wondering how the interviews will go this round. Based on the press conferences, I don't think they will be totally serious. I do think he might be more on guard about what he reveals about himself. I'm hoping to be proved wrong on that.

  2. I prefer G2 as Ted says in the letter to the name Gray Goose. Sounds cooler. T2 and G2!

  3. Joker, thanks for that excellent song request in the previous thread. We will try and get that on this week.

NETB, if you like this song by Neko, RUN DO NOT WALK, and get her stuff. You will love it. She also sings with the New Pornographers!

Destiny, I am also wondering how the interviews will go this time. I look forward to seeing Jake on Letterman and Ellen, to see how he interacts with them both.

  4. I'm also looking forward to this new round of interviews. If I recall correctly, Jake did not spend all that much time talking about Zodiac during that press tour. His interviews seemed to center around anecdotes and Jake being his charming, likeable self. His interview with Harry Smith was probably the best one in terms of discussing the actual movie. Don't get me wrong, I love anecdotal charming Jake, but I do like to hear his opinions about the movie itself and on the whole movie-making process. These next two weeks should be interesting with all of the Jake interviews, Rendition, and Friday Night Lights.

  5. Saw this on WDW (thank you thank you thank you) it looks like Jake has another project lined up. And it's a Moonshot, baby.

It "revolves around a private expedition to the moon and the race for lunar colonization."

"Dreamworks has targeted the project for the fast track."

    Jake flies to the Moon

Speculation that Jake was having a hard time getting projects. The point is moot!

  6. I guess Jake has joined the pre-strike rush, and this one sounds pretty mainstream. I think it will be good for him to do a film like this, assuming it is as good as Bourne. I want to see him carry a big picture.

  7. I'm in Italy on a hotel internet point, but ...

    SQUEeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

at G2 and T2, and congrats Tom (again!) and Me.

    As giusi would say: *______*

  10. Wicked, I really do love this song, very romantic and seductive, reminds me of a love scene or something. I definitely am going to run out and get a CD, and soon.

Good news for Jake and Austin all around, it seems! ;)

  11. So, Tom, does being called Dumb Butt by Ted negate the joy of a third reply from him?

    ;)

  13. I have to think that the most interesting part of Jake's PR stuff for Rendition is unfortunately going to be the whole Reese 'affair' not so much how he will answer but who will ask and who won't. I have a feeling John and Ellen won't ask, not unless Ellen is feeling a bit pissed at Jake.

  14. I have been called worse than a Dumb Butt before. I love the attention being an A lister on E brings me.:-)

  15. ^^ :)

Have I mentioned Grey Goose is my favorite vodka? ;)

I can't wait to get this CD, Wicked; very David Lynch-y, country "noir" I've heard Neko's music described as - it's right down my street! ;)

  16. On Milch being Milch: I think Austy had a once-in-a-lifetime experience working with him. You can't watch Deadwood or JFC without knowing that the creator has a "unique" perspective on things. He could easily be a character on one of his own shows.

  17. Why would Ellen be pissed at Jake?

  18. I can't believe that stacked schedule! *And* he'll be in the U.K. before that..wow. I'm really looking forward to all the appearances, particularly Jon Stewart and Ellen who seem to bring out the best in him.

  19. Well Press Now I disagree. There is plenty interesting about the movie and about Jake without asking about Jeese. I also don't know why Ellen would be pissed? She and Jake seem to get along very well.

I can't wait for the interviews. Thanks for the schedule Special.

  20. I don't think we'll get a lot of information on Jake's political views and opinions during this round of interviews. Particularly after the E "fiasco" where he sounded as if he supported torture. It's too bad because as BV said Jake did not dwelve very much on Zodiac during his last PR blitz. On the other hand, maybe he's had time to really think about what he wants to say and to rehearse his answers. Anyway I can't wait for these interviews to begin. :)

  21. I'm very excited about the round of interviews and shows too - I think you're right Frenchy that with this type of hot topic, it's very easy to be misunderstood, and I'll bet he's taken that into consideration that. I hope he'll have a lot to say. :)

  22. Hi 9:31,

A name is always better than a number, is there something we can call you ?

    ReplyDelete
  23. Sorry Spesh,

It was only me at 9:31. ;) I hit Anon by mistake.

  24. I also cannot really see why the most interesting part about promotion for a movie like Rendition, with such heavy topic, has to be Jeese. What? Especially since they have no scene in common, and ... there is no Jeese!

  25. NETB, the CD that song came from is called Blacklisted. I can't recommend it highly enough.

Frenchy, it will be interesting to hear Jake talk about this movie, especially after his little misstep. I think he will be very careful. I hope that does not mean he will not be relaxed and able to be himself in these interviews.

  26. Just want to say well done to ME and Tom for getting letters answered. I didn't think Ted would answer a Bf Tile question until after he had finished his 20/50 Questions game about Toothy, so that was cool. And to have an answer that so pointed towards Austin. Icing on the cake!

I thought perhaps we should get an answer to "is the bf an actor" first, but getting a name for him was better. If the answer had been yes then you would have just ended up with people throwing out names of actors Jake knows (James Franco, Heath Ledger, etc) randomly. No, in my book Gray Goose = alcohol = Wild Turkey = Austin Nichols.

(Still a poster on FCC looked at this answer and said the ref to GG's "closeted actor guy" must mean GG isn't an actor! I look at it the other way: we know TT is an actor, so perhaps it was thrown in to point to Austin again. Personally, I think Ted has all but named Bf Tile now.)
