  1. I had never heard Rufus do this song until I uploaded it for the blog. I'm surprised at how good his version is.

  2. Funny post, Spesh - you are on a roll this week! :)

I love Rufus, Wicked - and I was amazed by this version of Over the Rainbow too - a song I've heard so often and he makes it sound new, it's beautiful. Love his voice. :)

  3. For those who may not know, Rufus' cd (actually 2 cds) of his Judy Garland/Carnegie Hall concert came out last month. The whole thing is great.

  4. I'm intrigued by Rufus' use of the word "whatever" when talking about Jake in his recent interview. Sounded like he might have thought he said a bit too much and then had to backtrack.

  5. I'm rather on slow motion these days so forgive my belated comments:

On the previous thread Mally wrote:
And it was a phone interview so if Rufus didn't do any verbal play in that quote who knows he could have been rolling his eyes at whoever was with him in the room when he said it. ;)

I was thinking something in the same vein Mally, lol! I've seen Rufus interviewed on a French-speaking TV show (he apologized for the poor quality of his French but he was actually quite good!) and his body language indeed speaks volumes. ;) ;)

Special, I don't know what vitamins you're on these days but I would appreciate knowing the brand and the dosage!

Rufus has been an acquired taste for me. I remember a time when I just couldn't stand his plaintive deliveries, lol. Love that version of Over the Rainbow. And yesterday's song by Jimmy Somerville was another great musical find. :)

  6. "Reese, how many times do I have to tell you that I always want to keep this much space between us?"

  7. 4. This Beard is driving me crazy.

Me too. As the leader of the Anti-Beardy-Beard Brigade, I am hoping that after Brothers is finished filming Jake will be beardless. In both senses of the word.

  8. It's not his best look - I don't like Perez but I laughed a lot at #100 :D

  9. London tb, you laughed at Jake's looks being made fun of. How mature. And I have no issue with his facial hair when it is for a movie role.

  10. again.. you have to admit though, its not his most attractive look is it. I'm sure Jake's skin is think enough to take a bit of ribbing about a bad facial hair requirement, he is very much the professional after all

  11. that should be thick (like its author), not think.

  12. again, you are so much better than me. I can only hope to attain your standards one day.

    Pray for me.

  13. I'm sure someone as handsome as Jake is ok with a little affectionate teasing about his beautiful facial hair, for those that don't like facial hair. I like it, and I think he's one of the most handsome men I've ever seen - with the most beautiful eyes on a man I've seen in about ten lifetimes. :)

  14. London you are the best. I will pray for u though still.

  15. But what beard is driving him craziest? ; )

  16. The facial hair I love, the beard? Not really - I have the feeling that one is very uncomfortable. :)

  17. Hello friends! Greetings good year and sorry for the delay but I was not at home. I apologise for the OT but I have one thing to ask me curious: an Italian site, I found this: New interview this time the French weekly "public" where for the first time Wentworth speaks of Luke Mac Farlane, described only a friend. Link It'is real? thanks and sorry again...

  18. "Again" is def female troll (nothing wrong with that cept for the troll part) cuz no way do ladies make fun of looks. Men insulting each other looks is normal. Jake's buds are prob askin to borrow his face to scrub the carburator, sand the deck & scrape the barnacles off the bottom of their boats. Thats true love between guys.

  19. Possibly why I was a little ashamed at finding it so funny, stellar - I didn't need my co-genderist coming along to slap my wrist, though. I can slap my own.

Giusi, that WM interview's a little bit sad, isn't it :(

  20. Giusi-Poo,

Perez about Wentworth: "I am not speculating that Wentworth Miller is gay. I know Wentworth Miller is gay. One of my best friends dated Wentworth Miller. I know the person he’s currently dating."

    Perez Hilton interview:

  21. Guisi could you interpet that interview for us. I would love to read it. Thanks!

    ReplyDelete
  22. Tom, he's basically saying - or having to say - he wants a woman who's a cross between Penelope Cruz and Famke Janssen, and that he and Luke are just buds who went for a walk together one day. Giusi will give you all the subtleties, though.

  23. Wenty can deny it all he wants and it still won't go away.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Went is lying, but at least he's not bearding. His fans are happy with "I don't have time for dating" and "I'm looking for the right woman" answers.

    ReplyDelete
  25. You can lie and you can beard, and still the rumors don't go away. And is the cost to you worth it?

    ReplyDelete
  26. I'd like to see Jake lose both beards. Hopefully they'll both be gone by the time he is finished with Brothers.

    ReplyDelete
  27. I have not liked the latest haircut or beard (the facial beard) for some time. The proportions are off for his face. Maybe if he were happier these days, he would carry it better. I just hope the look works for the movie.

  28. With so many closeted actors today one that had a sucessful career because everyone assumed was gay was Tony Randall. I don't know if he was bi, but he got a lot of plum roles because he cultivated the artistic gay persona. He kept his personal life private, so private that everyone was SHOCKED to hear that his longtime wife had died (hardly anyone knew he was married and the ones who did thought it was a beard) and that he remarried and he had fathered children, that he was a family man.

Randall played the HW game the opposite way and it seemed to work. Good for him. (R.I.P.)

  29. I didn't read the WM interview but "he wants a woman who's a cross between Penelope Cruz and Famke Janssen" ???? Sounds like that movie the Wedding Banquet. Does he want his perfect woman to sing opera and speak Mongolian and have a freckle on her left hip too lol ?? watch, Flynet will find her and they have to marry.
