Sisters

Pictures of Jake and Austin with their sisters. Well, I think the woman in the picture with Austin is his sister. I could be wrong about this, however! Interesting that both boys have older sisters and seem close to them. And that each of their older sisters has a daughter. Could that be causing the boys' biological clocks to tick?

  1. And Austin has a new nephew too.

  2. For the past few days in my Google alerts I've been getting hits from different blogs and websites that have picked up the OK! story about Ryan being jealous. So that story is making the rounds.

  3. That woman talking to Austin is NOT his sister. I've seen pics of her with her husband and that's definitely not her.

  4. I think are combination of factors for Jake and Austin's clocks ticking. They see their sister's happiness in love and having a family, they have friends who are starting families, and Jake and Austin are in love, have been in a committed relationship and want to take the next step together in their life.

BTW: I don't think the clock is ticking I think the alarm went off. I think it is now trying to catch up on sleep. Who or what could keep them up? ; )

  6. There are reports coming in that Twicked has a romantic weekend planned very soon. Hopefully the paps will be there.

  7. That woman talking to Austin is NOT his sister. I've seen pics of her with her husband and that's definitely not her.

There was another picture of her from behind when Austin was at ACL (the one where he was shirtless). He was talking to her and they were standing right next to a guy that looks exactly like Austins brother-in-Rowdy.

And then there was yet another picture where both Rowdy and the woman were sitting close to a stroller with a girl in it that looked about the age of Austins niece. And Austin seemed to know the girl too, or was at least watching her intently.

So yeah, I think it's his sister.

  8. ^Austins brother-in-law Rowdy.
    Sorry

    ReplyDelete
  9. Sorry, don't think its his sister either, too young. Isn't Austin's sister the person who has their back to the camera in the shirtless ring on a rope ACL photo. Not that it really matters.

Also, for some strange reason I just adore that feathers t-shirt Austin has on, it manages to be both ridiculous and extremely fab at the same time, although I don't see many other people being able to carry it of.

  10. Okay this is a tad stalkerish, but, its amazing what you can find on google. At least it answers the question of where Austin was when Jake was fannying around Brentwood with Reese after Christmas. (its the 31 Decemeber entry by the way).

  11. ^^I love that feathers t-shirt too. Nice post today, and great song. I'm glad they both have family support, with all of the craziness in HW.

    Also, OT -

I was just admiring the French theatrical poster for Renditon over at IHJ - it has a more "immediate" feeling or something, instead of the sepia tones of the one for the U.S.

The bright red, white and blue, tattered American flag is covering Anwar's face like a blindfold, and "hiding" him, as in what's going on behind the red, white and blue. Douglas is at the upper right-hand corner with a little bit of facial scruff (he'd make a great Sundance kid), and the flag stripes are such that one half of his face is red, the other white - reflecting his ambivalence. Really affecting I thought. Nicely done. There's also a New Yorker piece.

  12. Austin at hunting camp is not an image that comes easily to my mind. Although it did sound like his dad was the one who was more into it.

The Leaker, what do you know? You don't know ANYTHING! Tom and I are a real couple, and as such we value our PRIVACY!

  13. Austin at hunting camp is not an image that comes easily to my mind.

Me neither! Gives an entire new meaning to Flynet. Not crazy about huntin' 'n fishin', but probably that is what will help save and protect our wilderness areas and the creatures who inhabit them, and as long as everything's done all legal and respectful to living things, I begrudingly accept. :(

  14. IMDB is reporting Brothers will be released in December 2008.

Also, hope for Jake to do Farragut North?

  15. Whenever I think about hunting I am reminded of a particular episode of the great TV show, Northern Exposure. Dr. Joel goes hunting for the first time and he really gets into it, to his surprise. When he shoots his first bird and sees it fall, he takes it to his surgery and tries to save it. The bird dies. His fellow hunters ask him why he did this because they thought he seemed to be enjoying hunting so much. He says something like this, "Oh yeah, I loved it- the hunting. And the killing was the best part. It was the dying I couldn't take."

    ReplyDelete
  16. YAY!! That's good news - looking forward to both. :)

    ReplyDelete
  17. Sorry, Wicked, my comment was about Brothers and Farragut North. That's a great comment from Norther Exposure, I loved that show and Dr. Joel. I have a beautiful "young buck" and his family who comes to dinner at my yard most evenings, I'd hate to lose him. :)

  18. Guess, after spending Christmas in NYC with Jake's family, Austin went down to Texas for New Year's Eve with his.

I will spare everyone my soapbox diatribe about the man-made need for sport hunting.

    ReplyDelete
  19. But was Austin still in Texas on New Years Eve?

The post says he and his dad left the ranch on Saturday, which would be the 29th.

Maybe he stayed for New Years Eve or maybe he went back to LA. Who knows?

    ReplyDelete
  20. I agree, M, it's a man-made situation, the need for "culling of herds" and management, since we ourselves have upset the balance of nature and created this situation, and it's only going to get worse. That said, in any political area, one has to negotiate and yes, make concessions that may not be appealing in and of themselves, in order that in the long view, our wild areas don't disappear forever.

In the Western view, and increasingly in Eastern countries' views too, as they emulate the West, money is King, and our wild areas and creatures, like many things unfortunately, must have their existence justified in terms of financial gain and payback. It's better that than having them wiped out for a housing development. Unfortunately, we've got to work with the situation at hand in order to make any gains, and educate about the value of environmental protection.

OK, that's the end of my philosophical rant for the week, I promise! ;*

  21. For some reason I find that blog account of Austin (complete with keen tracking eye), dad, uncle and dog completely fascinating :)

    ReplyDelete
  22. The thought of Austin enjoying hunting for "sport" is really disappointing to me. And the family comes accross as rednecks :(

    ReplyDelete
  23. Notice that Austin's uncle (his dad's father) is named Don? I guess that's where Austin gets his middle name.

    ReplyDelete
  24. orchid, I don't agree - I would say just guys. I'm fascinated at the many faces of Austin.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Maybe that's why the paps don't mess around with Austin, cuz they know he's got a gun and a good aim!

    ReplyDelete
  26. London, it is strange to imagine this scenario. I'm wondering what this crowd thinks of the rumours. I assume Austin would have to deny it and instead discuss the joys of kissing Kim Bassinger.

    ReplyDelete
  27. So when a bunch of the boys go out and Jake drives do you think Austin rides shotgun? lol

    ReplyDelete
  28. Maybe not deny. He might wear it all lightly - he's with family and they're dr's and film directors after all. I expect Kim made a great story, though.

He's an actor, he needs to be everything, as does Jake. I think they both have great range :)

    ReplyDelete
  29. Maybe that's why the paps don't mess around with Austin, cuz they know he's got a gun and a good aim!

LOL - cute, All My Exes!

I have to agree, I'm not crazy about huntin', but it's a guy thing for some reason, for some guys. All walks of life. Austin seems to be the tracker, but I'd prefer shootin' photos myself. If you read this blog, it's at a hunting ranch, and everything appears to be done legally and with respect for the environment. This is how some men appreciate and enjoy nature. ;(

    ReplyDelete
  30. I agree with london tb. Austin is endlessly fascinating and full of surprises.

    ReplyDelete
  31. London tb would you be so fascinated and okay with hunting if it were Jake?

  33. If Jake does Farragut North, OMGers have to go! I would love to see Jake (or Austin for that matter!) in a play.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Just wondering, yes, I don't hold Jake to any different standard at all. I hope Austin was just tracking too :) What I find fascinating is the idea of him (and Jake) in differing contexts.

    ReplyDelete
  35. wicked, I'd travel for that one :)

  36. In the South and Southwest, all the men hunt or grow up knowing how to use a gun.

    JAKE LOVES AUSTIN

    I LOVE TOOTHY TILE

  38. Tom, you are very bad. I hope your behavior will be better for our fauxmance!

In the South and Southwest, all the men hunt or grow up knowing how to use a gun.

Obviously it is more likely for someone to hunt and shoot if they grew up in Texas than if they grew up in LA. Still I have difficulty imagining Austin hunting.

London, I hope you would travel. That would be so much fun!

    ReplyDelete
  39. ^^Tom and Wicked, that would be fabulous! Plus we get to support our fauxmance couple, Twicked!

I wasn't asked this question directly (but since when have I let that stop me? lol) - but if Jake were the one huntin', I'd feel the same way as I do about Austin's involvement in it. Not crazy about it, but as long as they are observing the rules, and it's not some wanton killing spree like the yearly Alaskan wolves hunt, I begrudgingly accept it. I'd still love 'em, and to each their own. What's good for "The Goose" is good for the gander I always say! ;)

Plus, if you disagree but meet each other halfway, learn about and understand each other, you'll see that everyone is human - all hunters are not redneck heartless killers, and all environmentalists are not tree-huggin' fanatics. It benefits everyone, especially the environment and the critters. :)

  40. From a family of hunters, can totally picture that hunting trip and his dad's rule of no shaving. Ruff and tumbled coming home and never mattered if they bagged their limit or not -- it's more about hanging out.

It did make a scene of "Maurice" pop into my head though. Maurice goes to see Lasker-Jones about his so called problem, and Lasker-Jones tells him to go to the country for fresh air and walk about with a gun.

    ^^[sarcasm]That'll make a man out of ya.[/sarcasm] :(

I do love Maurice, I was so moved by it. I should see it again.

I agree, Spesh, it's a lot about hanging out with the guys.

London, it would be great if we could all see Farragut North as a group, and to meet you! :)

    ReplyDelete
  42. I can imagine how awesome it would be to have London tb join us in NYC to see Jake. I also would love to see Joker, Quisi, Orchid, Canadian, Rattler, Stubborn, Me. Blbt, Tinhat, etc, etc. etc. What a night that would be.

And yes there will be banners, He will know we are there.

    ReplyDelete
  43. The Philadelphia Eagles have a no sign/banner rule at their stadium. I am now wondering if Tom had something to do with that!

    ReplyDelete
  44. Afraid to say that I quite like the idea of Austin the hunter, it just adds to his fascinating multi-dimensionality (pretty sure that's not an actual work).

Also, it sounds like his family are a fairly likeable, amiable lot doesn't it, which just makes me like him more.

  45. Just wandering now whether the farm where Jake supposedly 'enjoyed' slaughtering a pig was the Nichol's ranch. I think, no matter the actual relationship between J&A, that Jake is cloise to Austin family a lot more than we will ever get to know. Personally, I think Jake is a city boy who would be horrified by certain things but got dragged into them by A, who is more of a ranch/Texas guy, who might go hunting and does not consider certain things to be necessarily 'horrible'. JMO

  46. Just wandering now whether the farm where Jake supposedly 'enjoyed' slaughtering a pig was the Nichol's ranch.

Hmm, didn't think that maybe J&A might enjoy such things together. Interesting.

Nice to see you, Zero! :)

    ReplyDelete
  47. It is sad to know that Austin hunts as much as it was to hear Jake's comment about enjoying watching a pig being slaughtered. It's very disappointing that they participate in any form of cruelty towards animals.

    ReplyDelete
  48. animal lover, raising pigs for consumption is not animal cruelty unless of course you keep them in horrible conditions. The, you should be horrified by the notion that Jake or Austin are NOT vegetarian. Period. And you should have known that way before the infamous pig article came out.

    ReplyDelete
  49. I don't agree with hunting either but as I'm not a vegetarian I can't hound too much on it myself.

With Jake's pig comment, I think it was reasonable for people to be surprised because I always thought Jake was a vegetarian before I really started looking into him. I think it was because that's the image that was put across of he and Kirsten when they were going out.

But I don't truly see why anyone is surprised about Austin going hunting.

Maybe a nice reminder that we don't know these men anymore than what they put across to us - and there would be a whole bunch of stuff we don't know about either.

    ReplyDelete
  50. I'd be surprised if the pig thing was connected to A, it seemed like more of an organic real foodie comment ... If you eat meat someone has to kill the animal so I try not to have too strong an opinion about it though I couldn't do it myself.

(meg, I hope you'll travel to NY too!)

  51. Netb at 4.29, you said it all for me.

  53. Just on what Ted said.

I think Ted always needs to be put in perspective.

When he said Toothy and BF were superdomesticating in November last year, it meant they were spending the holidays together.

Ted is just giving us a variation on where he has stood since Jeese began. That they are not real.
He's saying that despite what we are hearing, Jake is spending cosy time with someone else.
If you believe in Toothy tile, then you'll believe it's the gray goose Jake is spending cosy time with.

    ReplyDelete
  54. The chance to visit NYC and see Jake? Could be interesting.

The opportunity to meet my fellow OMGites? Sounds fun.

But, the once in a lifetime dream to bask in the glow of that fabulous, hot, It couple, Twicked?

    I am SO there!

    ReplyDelete
  55. ME, I just busted a gut when I read your comment! But you are right, how many chances do you get to bask in the glory of a bona fide fauxmance?

    ReplyDelete
  56. I like how Wicked gets her whole name in Twicked with poor Tom getting only his T. At least its capitalized, the first letter and all but who the hell is gonna remember Tom? No one after she gets finished with him.

    ReplyDelete
  57. Tom used to be so happy and smiling in the pap pics taken of him only a few months ago -remember the ones of him in the park walking his cat? and the ones of him vacuuming the rug at home and shaving in front of the mirror wearing only that sexy towel (whohoo) and remember THAT vid of him doing the nasty....Damn he looked mighty fine. But now after Twicked started the pap pics are a sad and depressed Tom wearing lots of layers of the same ugly clothes day after day and only sleeping (no sex) at home, never out with his buddies playing dodgeball like he used to or walking around being sexy. In the pap pic of him last week at lunch with his mother, she had more sexual energy than he did, did anyone else notice? And if it wasn't for that recent pap vid of him flosssing his teeth I'd have thought he lost them all because you never see him smiling anymore. What happened, Tom? What the hell happened? :(

    ReplyDelete
  58. And I am getting so tired of hearing how Wicked is the perfect blogger, that shes an ambassador (is it for Mary Kay?) and the highest paid female blogger blah blah blah. Its all about lighting the Wick and getting the Wick on fire so the Wick and her Wallet will have star power. Tom, the Wick is playing a Twick on you. Don't get burned.

    ReplyDelete
  59. Would you also feel sad if Austin liked boxing???

People get real. You have decided to totally create this image of both Jake and Austin to YOUR liking. However, if it does NOT fit your likes and mindset you are disappointed. THIS IS TRULY SAD!
Love these guys for their acting abilities and stop investing so much time in what your perception of the both of them is. If we invest too much time in them we are bound to be disappointed.

    ReplyDelete
  60. Also,
Not once did Jake ever say that he was vegetarian and he did not like eating meat. The slaughter house is not for me and millions of other people, but millions of others eat steaks daily. Somebody has to do it. The boards went crazy because of that incident and comment. Truly ridiculous.

The point is, some fans may have assumed that his likes were the same as theirs. NOT TRUE

  62. ag I honestly have to say I never heard that Jake was vegetarian. More of a food lover and into good food and organic food, so in a way the slaughtering comment did not really bother me as much. It might gross out a few people but I come from a rural par tof Italy were growing up as a child, my grandfather raised chickens and rabbits and let just say he was not because they are cute. And yes there is a simplicity in that sort of life where you have your ranch and gtow your vegetables and your animals, and I think that is what Jake might have referred to I can hardly picture him with a evil grin watching a pig being slaughtered.
I also agree with ag, whhat is so surprising about Austin going hunting, we know close to nothing about him or his personality.

  65. Jake need to lose Reese.

    GYLLEN = golden
WITHER = dry up, shrivel, lose freshness, droop.
    SPOON = utensil

    (SPOON x GYLLEN)
    (WITHER > GYLLEN)
    (GYLLEN - GYLLEN)
    = 0
