Vice City

Dante had 7. And Austin well he inspires many.

For a man who kids that he was named after a bottle of whiskey, and was christen with the new moniker of smooth vodka, this liquor gets his hold on you quicker than you expect.

A little vanity? Well looking like that 'nuff said.

A little greed? You always want more.

Gluttony? Is one sip enough?

Envy? Who wouldn't be envious, not the success, talking the BF!

Lust? That's an understatement.

And the last two. Wrath, and Sloth. Yes he does, wrath for some --which is so difficult to understand why. And sloth - how? More like idleness in admission about this long tall drink of something.

And funny life's irony --check out this article from Radar. And read all the way to end. Enjoy!

  4. ^is this the same People who just pulled a sighting of relaxed, loving Jake and Reese just a couple of days after Heath's death? Is pr NOW trying to make Jake look grief-stricken?

    ReplyDelete
  5. ^maybe the loving couple bit was the fake and the grief is real.

  6. Too late PR, the cat's out of the bag. I don't believe that Jake would leave N.M. sometime late on Tuesday and come back for more shooting on Thursday. That also contradicts the point later in the story that he was given a break from shooting. And how does that jive with the first story about how he was continuing to work on the movie? I guess PR is trying to cover up that planted sighting that went wrong. And Heather Ledger! I guess People was in hurry to do PR's bidding.

  7. I think this is a PR damage control article and I don’t buy a word of it.

    ReplyDelete
  8. I'm sure that Jake's grief is real. That's enough for me.

  9. The time frame of his time on the set of Brothers makes that blog sighting more believeable.

The blogger said she saw Jake and Reese in Brentwood at 10:00 in the morning on Thursday 1/24.

Peopel says that he left the set immediately after hearing the news on 1/22, Tuesday but that he returned on set on Thursday 1/25 to resume shooting (He took a commercial flight they say).

Since NM is only one hour away, most likely he was in LA late Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday morning, and probably left LA sometime in the PM.

That means that when TMZ posted that Jake was on the set grieving the day after Wednesday, he wasn't on set according to People.

I still don't believe he was on set at all last week, that blogger has zero reason to make it up and it certainly wasn't a plant since he was supposed to be grieving on set at the time of the sighting.

Again this "explanation" makes it seem like he was in LA on Thursday morning and in NM later on since they don't give a time when he arived on set. PR is not aware of that blogger sighting IMO, she blew the lid off the BS that he was in NM, even she said that she was wondering why they said he was in NM when she just saw him. Again more spinning.

Again , no direct quote from him just sources.

    ReplyDelete
  10. We do know from pictures that Jake was with Reese. Do you think the decription of them looking do happy together at a restaurant was planned to be run before Heath's sudden death? What's the point of these fake sightings. To make them sound like the most perfect couple?

    ReplyDelete
  11. ^i mean we know from the pictures Jake was with Reese at the weekend.

  12. Rendition comes out on DVD on February 19th. Sometimes PR uses planted items as a tickler to keep their client or projects in the press until the bigger pr rolls out. They could have this set up as soon as Rendition left the box office.

    ReplyDelete
  13. The People/PR spin stinks like 3 day old fish.

Methinks he wasn't any where the Brothers set at all last week and I suspect that he may have finished filming his scenes before Heath's death.

His people let some "assume" that he was in NM, probably because it was a way to keep reporters at bay and leave him alone and grieve, so they never bother corrected TMZ or all the other outlets that repeated the story.

The problem with that is that he was spotted a few times in the LA area, the People sighting have been a plant or legit and it may have been a few weeks old ( no date given) but it looked bad either way.

And do you actually believe he was carrying around a piccture of Heath in his wallet? What an insult.

    ReplyDelete
  14. I now believe the LA sighting on that blog too. I think Jake was in LA the whole week and not in NM.

I think this People article is damage control because it remarks the things that his calculating PR wants to reinforce: the grief, in which movie he is working and saying he is straight (girlfriend) but gay friendly (the prison joke).

I think the People sighting that was pulled last Monday was pre-arranged by PR before Heath’s death and they forgot to cancel it.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Someone posted info about Jake flying back to NM on Sunday, 20 Jan.

No reason to believe that Jake wasn't on the set.

No reason to believe that Jake had a good time in LA after he found out about Heath's death.

    ReplyDelete
  16. So fucking what does it matter when during the week he was on set or off set.

Trolls still believe that blog sightings would change our minds about Reeke.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Considering he wasn't on set on Monday, 1/21 according to an extra that has been posting on IMDB (They filmed with Tobey and Natalie) and then again posted again on 1/22 and said that they didn't see Jake at all that day on set and when they asked a set person, they claimed that he wasn't needed for scenes shot that day.

Why didn't his PR last week just say he is to upset to comment now, instead of allowing people to think that he was working.

    ReplyDelete
  18. I believe Jake is upset, but I have no compassion for his PR people who are trying to spin this. Why doesn't Jake just simply say "Heath was a good guy. I'm sorry he died.", like others (Ang Lee for instance) said immediately?

Why pull the relaxed, happy Jeese sighting? Looks like PR thinks it wouldn't fit in with the picture they're currently trying to paint.

    ReplyDelete
  19. This has nothing to do with Reeke, this has everything to do with Jake not making any public statements regarding Heath's passing still.

And if you are buying this latest PR/People spin who's that, then you need your head examined, that whole thing is an insult.

If the blogger saw Jake that day solo, then I bet you would believe it, again what would that blogger gain for making that up? And that poster on TMZ last Wednesday that claimed they saw Jake and Reese in Oija, CA 3 days belore (Monday).

Again a day he was supposed to be on set, and that mention was so obscure that it had to be legit.

PR only plants stulff like that on Jared and Perez.

And again with all that spinning they still can't get a direct quote from him.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Jake doesn't owe you assholes a quote. You would tear that to shreds too. Nothing will ever satisfy you when it comes to Jake. You would probably say his statement wasn't sincere enough or that he was lying or whatever cruel thing you can throw at him. Face it you just use Jake as a punching bag for your own sick needs. You don't know anything about him yet you have made up this scenarios in your head of what he should do or be.

    ReplyDelete
  21. He doesn't owe us a quote. He owes Heath's memory a quote.

Perhaps (quite probably) it was Jake's PR that advised him not to say anything, but it was bad advice IMO.

  22. i am sick of everyone thinks they have to right to tell Jake how to grief and what to do in the case of losing a (good) friend.

    ReplyDelete
  23. I've got experience of a shocking loss in my close family in the past few years, Winterbird, so I do know what I'm talking about. Heath was a public person. Jake owed him some kind of statement, however short.

This disappoints me more than a Jake/Reese engagement ever could. Toothy Tile was interesting, but Heath's death is real and tragic.

    ReplyDelete
  24. with all due respect max... everyone grieves in a different way, i just don't understand why we should think we "have" the right to tell jake what to do. maybe michelle, maybe heath's family could some say on this.

and everyone gets so worked up over whirling rumours of how heath died, how jake is handling (not handling) it.. it's just all seem a bit madness to me.

    ReplyDelete
  25. 9:47, maybe he's waiting to come to terms with it--it's been a week, which is still VERY recent.

Although I do remember when I experienced a shocking loss of a close friend when I was in my early 20s. I was very saddened by it and then a week went back after his death, I ran into friend who also knew my pal. He was in denial over the whole thing and actually asked me why I still hadn't gotten over it? After all, it's been a week! I told my roommate that and she told me I should have told him if it had been his death, it would have taken me five minutes.

    ReplyDelete
  26. I think Jake was in NM on the set for at least part of last week. I do think he is grieving right now and should be allowed to do this as he sees fit. I admit, I do think it a bit strange that he hasn't said anything. But people grieve in different ways. I don't demand him to say or do anything.

I would be very surprised if that blogger sighting from last Thurs. is true. I just don't see Jake smiling, laughing, and skipping right now. With anyone.

    ReplyDelete
  27. "Face it you just use Jake as a punching bag for your own sick needs"

Not so-veiled homophobia. ^^^^ Words don't suffice to respond.

And winterbird, the regulars aren't criticising Jake here, just these mysterious muptiple posters that show up whenever Austin is mentioned.

What regulars are doing here is questioning PR's machinations, not Jake's grief.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Loss and grief are unique to each individual. How we face loss and how we grieve is not according to a schedule or a set of rules. For some they want to share the person they loss with everyone, for other they jealously guard their moments with them because they mean so much. It took me ages before I could talk about my mother after losing her, and it was not out of disrespect or that I didn't love her. It was that I had to hold on the piece that no one else had of her.

Many at OMG are ready to move forward and some still grieve and we give them respect to do that. Some grieve privately and other publicly.

Wes Bentley another co-star of Heath's just made a statement in the past day or so. I do think the shock of his loss is wearing away and people close to him are starting to speak. I think that expecting Jake to be the first in line to speak was a bit unfair, but I do feel he will say something to honor his friend. Entertainment Tonight is reporting that friends in Hollywood were planning a remembrance for Heath this weekend. Maybe Jake would like to express himself there first, sharing his respect privately to honor Heath, than rushing out to make a soundbite.

Putting on my flak jacket for the incoming.

  30. I've been printing out some of the more profound Heath tributes and sharing them with my husband these last few days. He is not a crazed fan like me, but loved BBM and thought Heath superb in it. So last night he walks into the kitchen and says where is Jake's comment, I'd like to see it. I explained to him the contraversy over no comment from Jake, and my husband, who is pretty impartial in this whole mess, proceeded to go off for a good 20 minutes about why that was just not right. They worked together, he is godfather, they were friends etc. If he questions the omission, mainstream must also.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Special, I so agree with you. Thanks for your post. Grief is different for all of us - but I also think people are questioning the PR machinations, as GBTG said, which I'm sure have nothing to do with what is really going on and Jake's feelings of grief. He's devastated I'm sure. The remembrance sounds like a beautiful thing to do.

What I remember about personal loss is how good it felt to have the bolstering of love and support from my friends and community, when they showed me how much they loved my family member. I think of myself as very independent, but I needed that support, I didn't know how much until they gave it to me. Thanks again, so much, for your lovely post. :*

    ReplyDelete
  32. M, you should ask your husband why he isn't demanding Michelle's comment of grief? Why is everyone getting on Jake to make a comment. Really why does his grief have to be examined and looked at as something he has to share with you? It is his right to keep those things private if he wants to. And I am sure he will comment at some point because he will be asked in interviews and such. Give the man time to mourn.

    ReplyDelete
  33. I don’t question Jake grief or lack of comment.

I am questioning his PR machinations, the tasteless staged photo op and planted stories during this sad and painful time.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Forgot to my post above -

I was so grateful to have the love and support from relatives, friends and community during that devastating time, and it meant so much to me, that I now give back whenever possible, so that others in the same situation will know the love and support that I was lucky to have. I suppose that's why I have felt this way about Heath. But, how grief is expressed in now way lessens its intensity, if someone is more private about it.

    ReplyDelete
  35. I don't have time to comment now on the statement topic but one thing I don't understand is how people can put Michelle's grief on par with Jake's. Not to say that Jake is not grieving but, come on, Michelle is the mother of Heath's child and was once his partner.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Don't want to rude, but poor Austin. Every Austin post never ends up about him. Show the guy some love.

I even forgot it was Media Day yesterday, even with the "Two Tribes" song reminder! ;)

    ReplyDelete
  39. yeah everyone's grief is different. but not all of us have a PR team do we? that's what PR is for, to make statements when the client is unable to, to act as their representative. so really there's no excuse that Jake couldnt release a statement thru a 3rd party while others like DDL and Ang Lee and etc. could speak directly to the media about Heath.

Other things - its longer than 1 hour LA/NM. It takes at least 1 hour driving between Santa Fe to get to Albeq where the airport is.

Why the hell would Jake leave NM late Tues, fly to LA of all places - heath/michelle/Heaths family weren't in LA - stay 1 day Weds, go shopping and walking with Reese on Thurs morning then fly back to NM?? Fuck that scenario. I mean, really, as if. If he was so damn upset you'd think Reese would go to him in NM, not him flying to LA for a day and a half.

Everyone talks about anon bloggers and how they get 'nothing' out of fake sightings, so why would they put them in their blog? Duh, the reason is the biggest one of them all: EGO. Seeing the view count go up, getting comments, getting attention, getting your blog Google alerted around the world, seeing the power you hold with your words reprinted as truth everywhere. (And not having to backup what you post makes it easy enough.) Don't be naive - ego and power is very much alive in the blogging world.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Everyone talks about anon bloggers and how they get 'nothing' out of fake sightings, so why would they put them in their blog?

I've wondered this so many times and not come up with an answer. Your answer is a pretty good one. And we know that people DO make up sightings. There have been times when people have said they saw Jake somewhere, only to have him papped somewhere else at that time. Wasn't Jake allegedly sighted in Idaho or somewhere looking at property and pap pictures came out of him somewhere else?

Proof that Flynet is on the payroll along with People Mag.

I have never seen more transparent PR machinations in my life.

Poorly played. I feel bad for Jake. Regardless of how he actually feels his non statement has made him seem disrespectful so now they are creating over the top grief to deflect attention from the lack of a statement. Amateur hour.

Oh and your boy AR is a hottie. He needs a TV series.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Yeah everyone's grief is different. but not all of us have a PR team do we? that's what PR is for, to make statements when the client is unable to...

I agree with the above. I'm completely in the dark about Jake's true feelings for Heath and the status of their relationship but I think Jake's reps should have issued, at least, a laconic response like "Jake is too upset to comment right now".

    ReplyDelete
  44. So Flynet has basically republished the People story. What a shocker!

    ReplyDelete
  45. Yes Wicked, ego is the biggest motivator. Look at that Thurs blogger - all of her multiple daily entries, up to 20 a day. And hardly any comments if any. Her traffis musta gone way up. Plus it looks like she's newly moved to LA, my guess is she wants all the peeps back home to see how great her new life is, how she's running into stars everywhere, imagine that.

I forgot to add that it's almost 3 hours direct flight LAX to
Albequerque, add that 1 hour + Santa Fe car travel time (and the extreme high altitude change) and its not a convenient quicky trip like people/PR/rags want you to think.

  47. Jake isn't being disrespectful to anyone. How do you know if he has been a support to the family behind the scenes? Yeah if he made a statement I am sure you would trash it until there was nothing left. Jake is damned if he does and damned if he doesn't with you all. No you can't compare Jake to Michelle but why are you so demanding of Jake. You can compare him to Christian Bale, Matt Damon and Naomi Watts to name a few. Even though Naomi was at the memorial she has not issued a statement. You trash Jaek and hate him as if he were a murderer. Would you do the same to Austin? If Jake died would you demand a statement? Would you call him disrespectful? You probably wouldn't even care if Jake died that is how bad it is here.

  56. Actor Colin Farrell is to be best man at his brother's civil partnership ceremony

Eamon Farrell, 35, is planning to marry his 23-year-old boyfriend Steven Mannion after a proposing to him in New York last year.

According to the Mirror: "Eamon proposed before Christmas. The pair share a love of art and this is what brought them together. "Eamon is a respected dance teacher who set up the National Performing Arts School in Dublin more than 10 years ago. "And Steven is a really talented artist who has been welcomed into the Farrell family."

The younger Farrell brother is best-known for his versatile performances in a string of hit films such as Phone Booth and Alexander. It is rumoured Colin, 31, helped Eamon choose a diamond and sapphire-studded ring for his boyfriend.

The brothers are very close, and have bought houses next door to each other in Sandymount, South Dublin. The couple have not yet decided where they will exchange vows - but it won't be in the Republic.

The insider told the Mirror: "With Irish legislation the way it is at the minute, the wedding can't be here. "But the couple could go to the North or England for a civil partnership ceremony there. "It's more likely though that they'll get married in the States so Colin's whole family can be there."

I agree with all of the above comments.

It really is unbelieavable what some expect or want from Jake. And, why so much the concern. This has gotten way out of hand and believe me some who are claiming to be concerned about Heath are using this as an opportunity to jump on the bash Jake band wagon. Heath and Jake were friends, Not any of us. We truly can't feel what Jake or Heath's other friends are feeling. We don't know what Jake and Heath friendship was like the last few months, we do know what Heath and Michelle's were though. Let the man grieve the way he chooses and if and when he speaks on it, he should make that decision, no one else. If Jake had spoke about mourning Heath the 1st or 2nd day it happened, believe me the flood gates would have opened wide with "he's a media whore, it's not sincere, Reese or PR put him up to it etc, etc... HE is damned if he does and damned if he don't. Leave the man alone.

  62. Just read that People blurb...and threw up in my mouth a little.

  65. eastcoast fan, I disagree. No one's saying DDL or Ang Lee are media whores, are they? No one. And like I said in my prevoius post, that's what PR representation is for - they coulda made a statement in Jake's behalf.

If Heath's death had happened a year ago I'd bet my ass Jake's parents and Maggie/Peter and Austin/Chris woulda had the smarts and the influence to convince him to do the right thing. Two simple sentences in a PR press release (and it's not like Jake woulda had to do any work - it would be written by someone else for God's sake) woulda been adequate.

And you can bet YOUR ass if Heath had been Reese's costar and friend she woulda been making statements about the terrible loss and her grief and her name would be all over the internet making her sound like a sooooh wonderful caring sensitive sympathetic person. But since the latest topic is all about Heath, who is linked to Jake, methinks the highly self-absorbed Reese advised Jake to stay quiet. Ya know, cuz it's all about Reese, not Jake.

Woulda coulda shoulda, too little too late, with friends and PR like that who needs enemies.

  66. I am standing by my comment Tr 4:22....
The general public? Most of the General public would say That's Sad He passed away so soon, and move on. Most would not waste time disecting, examining, and looking for anything with this Tragic situation. Or did you know that the general public are not into celebrity's or take most of hollywood with a grain of salt. It's the fans with this type of thinking. I have a tv in my office and there is one in the lunchroom, and when this tragic event is on the news or entertainment show (which no one watches, but me-lol) people listen, some say that's sad, some mention drug use most say nothing and Move ON. That is the General Public. I agree Jake's people fucked up with the People article. And if I was him I would reprimand them or fire them. But almost every Hollywood celebrity talks thru BS PR people, Jake is not the only one by a long shot. If you followed any other star closely you would see their bs PR also.
I am a Jake fan and make no appologies or excuses for Jake. I do realize Jake is not perfect (far from it and probably could be an asshole at times ), but he is human. And again he owes no one nothing and should satisfy himself and not try to please everyone, because he CAN'T and NEVER will be able to. Hopefully he has learned this.

Anyone could tell them that. No-one is asking Jake to bleed in public. At this juncture, after two years of tb-hood, I'm still baffled as to why *everything* pertaining to Jake has to be so complicated. Anyway I'm sure he is grieving and, as ever, there is tons going on that we will never see or know about.

As for this post - Austin love given freely, as always*

    ReplyDelete
  75. I'm not upset with Jake. But he is a public person. Heath was a public person. They are iconically linked in popculture. A statement was expected. Hardcore fans actually demanded it but even casual observers expected one.

You're argument of what you would do in a similar situation is not relevant. This isn't you. This isn't your friend's dad or a close coworker in private place.

This is a public relations fauxpar. It's not quite a disaster but it was handled badly.

    ReplyDelete
  76. They are iconically linked in popculture.

I agree, TR, and I always thought they were very close, close enough that Heath named Jake as his child's godfather. So it glows like neon that Jake didn't comment, or at least, as Frenchy said, his PR make a statement on his behalf that he was grieving privately.

While I certainly wouldn't tell someone else how to grieve, demand a statement, or think badly of him for not making one, I am surprised. I don't think it's him; I do think it was mishandled by PR.

  77. Southwest Airlines is the main LAX/ABQ ride. And yea, I forgot about he time change. But 2 hrs plus the 1+ hr ride to SFe and the security/waiting/airport logistics isnt worth (at least to me) flying to LA for a day and a half. He was either in LA for the whole week or he wasn't and came back later in the week. And like I said, if he was going anywhere you'd think he'd be going to NY (not LA) to meet Michelle. Or if he was so devastated 'whoever' would fly out to NM to provide consolation and not expect Jake to travel under the circumstances.

'shame' must be 'nickname' from yesterday. Keeps saying how I "throw shit at Jake" which is the typical babblet response to when anything bad is said about Reese.

  81. You who own this blog, are jealous and angry, because Jake didn't have Austin's picture, in his pocket, to hang on his jail cell wall.

Jake didn't have Austin's picture in his pocket, because he was thinking about Heath. He carried Heath's picture with him to place on his prison cell wall. Heath, who was his best friend, and who asked him to be Godfather to his beautiful daughter, Matilda Rose.

You never post about Austin that much. You post Jake hate 24.7/365 disguised as concern about issues of homosexuality and homophobia.
You pretend to care about Heath's death, his family ,and his ex, but what you really are all about is bashing Jake.
But what is there to post about Austin 24/7/365, except as it relates to Jake? His career hasn't gotten of the ground, though he has had since 2004 to make it work. Their so called secret romance has no validation except in your imaginations as fueled by another jealous gossip person.
Does it hurt when I speak of Austin this way. Pay back is a bitch. Austin deserves better than you people as fans.

You don't care about Heath. If you did you wouldn't post Jake hate so much. Heath loved Jake and Jake loved Heath all ways.
Heath is the one person in the world who would never question Jake's about anything. He knew and loved Jake. Heath knew and understood human suffering, grief and emotion, or he would have never been able to give us the gift of Ennis del Mar.

    ReplyDelete
  82. Yea I was right. I went back and looked and when anyone says anything less than flattering about the Jeesers, Reeke and Reese you get a poster who tells them they're "throwing shit at Jake" - even tho you never said anything bad about Jake. *rolls eyes* My God how transparent can these troll spoonbabblets get?

    ReplyDelete
  83. Oh come on, a second- or third-hand account (and rate!) of Jake's feelings about the loss of Heath on gossip blogs, where you can also read about Katie Price's breast reduction, Britney and K-Fed's woes, Donald Trump's latest lawsuit, and Lord knows what else, is just downright tacky! Surely Heath's passing could have been handled in a more dignified manner than that? It's just not respectful to Heath, and doesn't he deserve that?

    ReplyDelete
  84. ^^Sorry, that should read -

Doesn't Heath deserve better than that? A respectful, somber, dignified and first-hand comment from a close friend and colleague, however brief or lengthy he would like to make it, it doesn't have to be the Gettysburg Address.

    ReplyDelete
  85. So 7:18 lays into Austin, then says he deserves better fans than us. ?

    ReplyDelete
  86. You who own this blog, are jealous and angry, because Jake didn't have Austin's picture, in his pocket, to hang on his jail cell wall.

Uh, no, that actually never occurred to me. I doubt Spesh thought of it either.

This blog is not a Jake-worship blog. If you want blind worship of Jake, I'm sure you know where to go. You seem to be confusing questioning of actions with hate. They are not the same thing. As with any person, there are things they do that you like and things they do that you don't. People here express their opinions about both their likes and dislikes regarding Jake and Austin.

    ReplyDelete
  87. it doesn't have to be the Gettysburg Address.

I think Jake should have to recite the entire Gettysburg Address in honor of Heath to make up for not saying anything for so long.

    ReplyDelete
  88. ET just did a mention of Jake regarding Heath's passing. It was in conjunction to the People story. What is interesting is that they used the photo of Jake out by himself, and the mention was that they found him out grabbing coffee. There was no mention of Reese whatsoever.

    ReplyDelete
  89. ^^ let me clarify. It was the picture of him this weekend grabbing the coffee.

    ReplyDelete
  90. Uh, God Bless yadda yadda -

Please tell you don't believe that story in "People". Do you? Really?

The cries of Reekers defending Jake against those calling for some kind, ANY kind, of sincere and REAL statement from Jake have been using the "Jake is SUCH a private person! Why should we expect him to show is grief to one and all?" Am I right?

Well, in that "People" story, wasn't the source a 'close friend' or insider? If Jake is so private, and his grief is so deep, and he's so broken up about Heath's passing, wouldn't someone that close to him respect his wishes and not blab to the tabloids?

  91. I love Maggie's short film supporting the strike! Maggie is a major crush for many lesbians.

    ReplyDelete
  92. Wicked people haven't just been questioning. They have bee downright cruel towards Jake. We don't what is going on with Jake and yet people sure as hell think they know it all. Belittling and mocking and cursing him out is more than questioning him or his PR. He is a human being folks. Seems you have forgotten that.

    ReplyDelete
  93. Wicked are you sure about Maggie's short film? That it was in support of the WGA? I don't know. It was confusing to me. I may have to watch it over and over and over and over and over. You may also want to do the same thing. Ya know, to make sure.

    ReplyDelete
  94. First thing I can say tonight is that I am sick of Ted. It sure looks like has has got squat and he looks real bad right now.

As far as Jake goes I think he certainly is upset about Heaths death and I could have understood if he wanted to grieve in private. A public statement would have been so sweet though.

What has made it worst for me is that we have had all these sightings with reese. Also seeing him with her during this time was really tough to take. It is going to take me a long time to get the bad taste out of my mouth.

One decision I have made is that when Brothers is released if he is parading around with his so called lady love I will not support him by attending the movie.

    ReplyDelete
  95. Noooooo, Jake is a human being? really really????? Omg. thank you for the reminder nono. all this time i thot he was a industrial space robot made of leftover metal pieces. wow.

And since you're so smart nono can you list all of the posters names and post times and their quotes where they are 'Belittling and mocking and cursing him out' ???? I'd really like to know but I've looked and can't find anything. guess I'm too stupid to see it but it sure is good that you are so smart that you can provide the references. thanks in advance.

  96. Do you remember in which magazine/interview Jake said he had trouble hiding his feelings and had trouble keeping secrets, not that he couldn't of course, he could keep mum if absolutely necessary but "au naturel" he was usually an open book, etc., etc., etc...? Maybe his team is acutely aware of this side of his personality and is not so much trying to "silence" him as to prevent him from "putting his foot in his mouth"… from their point of view, of course…

Sharpie you have to read the text below the screen to actually understand what's going on in the clip. Personally I think the "insider" angle (use of abbreviation for example) obscures the message a bit. On the other hand I think Maggie is particularly hot and just for her it's worth a detour.

    ReplyDelete
  97. There are new outtake pictures at IHJ of Jake's Interview photo shoot. I think some of these shots are amazing and should have been the ones in the article. He looks beautiful.

    ReplyDelete
  98. You make a good point Frenchy about Jake having trouble hiding his feelings, and you could tell by the pictures in the park on Saturday, he was telegraphing alot more than grief. I could see his team doing this.

And for Sharpie, I think she justs want to review it closely to make sure she didn't miss any of the subtle points concerning the strike. ; )

    ReplyDelete
  99. You may be confusing us with another blog.

    ReplyDelete
  100. Thank Photos for the reminder.

I have to say that still favor the blue shirt to the tan one in the bike shot. Any blue just brings more of his own blue eyes out.

  101. Extra mentioned the People story tonight. They said that Jake was so grief-stricken over the loss of his best friend that he had to take a leave of absence from the film he was working on to go be with his girlfriend Reese. The whole thing made him sound like a needy little boy running home to his mommy.

    ReplyDelete
  102. Well, according to the new Life and Style, Jake (along with Naomi Watts and Michelle) was at Heath's memorial service in LA last weekend and according to some inside source, "he was sobbing."

None of the other rags reported him there FYI.

    ReplyDelete
  103. frenchy, you are too cute.:) I was trying to be funny, saying I didn't know what the film was about so I'd have to watch it over and over...a good excuse to watch 3 hot girls and fantasize. :o

    ReplyDelete
  104. Thanks Photos!

Oh the somber idiots! Why didn't they use one of these (except the one with the axe of course) instead of that dumb-looking-faux-guitar-player pic!

    ReplyDelete
  110. Tom I do think Jake was there but I don't even think Reese would have been at that. It seemed like a very small ceremony and I do think some of the people there were not mentioned because they weren't seen.

  111. ...Frenchy they didn't use the guitar one in the magazine. That was also an outtake.

Sorry Photos, I was sure it was in the magazine. When that Interview issue came out it was on each and every Jake blog and forum... and I hated it! :D

I think I better go now, seems I can't get anything right tonight.

    'nite all!

    ReplyDelete
  112. Frenchy, I liked the pics they ended up using, but these outtakes are a lot more natural-looking, his natural spark and mischief is there. Why they didn't use some of these is anybody's guess - OMG would make a better advisory team, wouldn't we? ;)

If that report is true and he was at Heath's service, I'm glad they had each other for support. Anybody would be sobbing over what happened to our Heath. :(

I read on a blog that he was there and one of Heath's director friends. I think he was there and a few other people that the public does not know about.

Just want you to know, while I don't believe the TT blind item or Ted C, I respect the way you run your board & I love the music.

I think so too, Ann. Nice comments! :)

  118. No Sharpie. Michelle Williams was said to be there and no one had pictures of her. They did it at night under tight security They were also trying to prevent a lot of media attention and didn't want the crazy gay haters who were going to protest to show up. So it is very possible Jake was there but not seen.

    ReplyDelete
  119. There a thin line, between love and hate. Heath and Jake weren't close. Allegedly Heath enjoyed the fast life, and what comes with that. Jake is close to his family, and is a homebody.

    ReplyDelete
  120. Thanks, Ann. I hope Jake was at the memorial service. I think they did try to do it with little publicity to keep Phelps and his ilk out of it. So far, it looks like Westboro Baptist has caused minimal problems for Heath's family and friends. I'm so glad of that!

    ReplyDelete
  121. ^^I am so glad of that too, Wicked. :)

  122. Wait a minute...

When did rags like People and In Touch become reliable and accurate reporters of the news?

Am I the only one that finds this sudden deluge of Jake grieving after over a week of nothing but him with Reese and company stinking of a PR damage control scramble?

    ReplyDelete
  123. OK the memorial was at night but wasn't it at a hotel with a dinner after?

    ReplyDelete
  124. The memorial took place at a memorial chapel. The dinner took place at the hotel.

    ReplyDelete
  125. No Surprised you are not the only one.

    ReplyDelete
  126. Thank God!

What with everyone here oohing and ahhing over the latest Jake sobbing and carrying Heath's pic around, I thought perhaps normally astute people were falling under the sopoforic influence of 360.

    ReplyDelete
  127. Why do you care so much, Surprised if others think that Jake is actually grieving? And I would hardly say everyone was oohing and ahhing over the People article. The first comments were that it was fake. TR, again do you work for someone in the gossip rags, Ted C. and do you Surprised? I have to wonder what you both are doing here?

    ReplyDelete
  128. Sorry folks but Life and Style is NEVER accurate or reliable. They're even more bogus than US Mag, if you can believe it.

BTW, ET/Insider has pulled the Heath drug video (I'm sure Heath's family threatened them with a lawsuit).

  132. Finally got a chance to catch up on all the posts. That Wild Turkey 101 story is very funny Special. And even though I don't think House of Usher was that good, I though Austin and Izabella were very hot together. Last but not least, the story about Colin F. and his brother is really touching. Oops, one more last thing--to answer someone's question above (I've read to many posts in one sitting to remember!) I do think Jake and/or pr would have handled things differently a year ago.

    ReplyDelete
  133. oh, and the other blog has a Jake HATE Marathon going on. It's gonna last to the last comment Surprised and Tr.

  134. Has anyone seen this yet?

    http://hollywoodinsider.ew.com/2008/01/entertainment-1.html#more

The interesting part is in the last paragraph.

In its statement, ID included the email addresses and office numbers of ET executive producer Linda Bell Blue and Paramount executive Brad Bessey in an effort to "pressure" the shows to pull the planned segment, which was due to air tomorrow. Although ID represents a raft of A-list talent, including Jake Gyllenhaal, Ellen Page and Ben Stiller, Buxbaum would not comment on whether that pressure might have also included a boycott of the show.

I thought Jake was repped by 360 Mgmt. Who is this ID PR?

    ReplyDelete
  135. Jake's management is 360 and Evelyn O'Neill is his manager but his PR is ID PR and Mara Buxbaum and Carrie Byalick are his PR people. It is all listed on IMDb Pro. Mara is probably busy doing all the PR for Heath and Michelle. She las a very strong client list.

    ReplyDelete
  136. Their name should be No-ID-Ugh

  137. Took forever to read all the comments tonight. Here and elsewhere. If Jake was at the memorial service, it will eventually leak out. Right now I dont believe anything I read or hear. Too many conflicting facts. Oh, what a tangled web we weave when first we practice to deceive! Regardless, I think he is remiss in not saying something, even if just a statement via PR that he is too distraught to comment. He asked for the public life and by taking it he opened himself up to praise, opinions and criticism. When he accepted the position of godfather, he tacitly agreed to responsibilities and he needs to fulfill those despite his personal feelings. I think he is in for a rough year. I still love him, despite all this. Don't know why, but I do. Sorry to ignore Austin again but timing is everything and Heath trumps all at the moment, even Jake.

    ReplyDelete
  138. It's okay. I understand. Heath was a great artist. I LOVED his performance in Brokeback Mountain. And I hope one day to be as good as he was, even if he did call me a "fucking extra." (head bowed down).

But that's okay. He probably didn't mean it. He did show a lot of good judgment in his life, one of which was naming my Jake as the godfather of his sweet little daughter. That has always touched me.

Not to mention time off to do a photo op with his beard, the kids and dogs!

As far as I'm concerned this is all damage control. Never thought when I became a tb 2 years ago, that it will end up like this.

    ReplyDelete
  143. ...wasn't one of the excuses used for Jake's absence from NYC to be there for Michelle and Matilda was that there was NO WAY a movie set would close down just for one person's grief? There was NO WAY Jake could get the time off from filming?

Ya know, if all these stories had spun out last week, instead of smiley shopping, kids/dogs walking, Japanese restaurant snuggling, they would have appeared sincere and truthful. Now...well, now it just looks like 360 is taking its lead from the rancor poured out all over the internet.

If you're still listening, Evelyn (and I'm sure you are) here's an idea for you - allow Jake to be Jake, in all of his geeky, crzy, off-the-wall, passionate, and gay self. Tell the truth, LIVE the truth and there will be no reason for spin.
