Reese has been sharing her strategies with me of how she avoids getting papped. And you know how good she is about avoiding those pesky paps, too!

I just returned from a screening and I wanted to commit this to a public forum as quickly as possible. Heath Ledger gives a blockbuster performance in the new Batman movie. His work, as The Joker, will absolutely be nominated for an Oscar, and at this point in the year, Ledger is also a hands-down favorite to win it posthumously. Ledger offers perfect pitch, perfect tone, his Joker hits all the right notes. 'The Dark Knight' is among the better super-hero movies of all time, and Ledger is THE BEST villain in a super hero movie of all time. Really. It will only add to the conversation of all that Ledger could have accomplished had he lived. Amazing work.

You might think that Austin kept his shirt on for Wimbledon but you are mistaken, there is a scene that was used in one trailer with him in the locker room working topless yet again.

Thanks also Spesh for that wonderful review of Heath's performance in TDK. I just hope that he'll be able to tune in to all the praise and hoopla surrounding his amazing Joker from wherever he is now (miss you mate! :-( ). A posthumous Oscar would be wonderful to half-way atone for the one he was cheated of for "Brokeback",but it will be small consolation now he's no longer here. :-(

ReplyDeleteJust read the Chris article from the previous post and watched the other two episodes of his "Edible Island" show - God,I think I'm in love! (and I could munch his dear old Grandad too!). No wonder Jake values Chris's friendship so highly - don't think he's been spending anywhere near enough time with him of late though :-( Although who knows what he's up too between scheduled photo-ops with tame Paps ;-)

One more thing, regarding these stories coming out right now about Jake moving in and what not. This isn't new. This story was coming out this past winter. Now cut me some slack on this one, but I have had a 52-week subscription to STAR magazine (hey, I got it free off the back of a pkg of Noxema razors) and they ran this story a long time ago. They also ran a story on some necklace that Jake supposedly bought Ms Reese for Christmas (when he Really wanted to buy her a ring, supposedly) when shopping with his sister, Maggie. They even had a picture of said necklace or what it "probably looked like". I have yet to see a necklace like this around her neck. Now if that guy gave me a necklace, I'd be wearing it for all to see and I'd never take it off. So, I am taking these stories with a chunkload of salt.

Oh, and I haven't watched Jarhead yet but I plan to. I've already seen the Santa cap on Youtube.
Forgot to finish my comment in that I'm not surprised there's this sudden influx of articles about them moving in together. Ted's little dispute on Reeke several weeks ago could not have made Reeke Camp very happy. They've got to do a little damage control, do they not?

Hi Kacie. Just to answer one of your questions, another interview came out with Sophia Bush in which she said she'd been dating Jon Foster, which we all knew already.

Nice post, Spesh :) I found the locker room vid in the US trailer for Wimbledon - it had a lot more Austin in it for the US theatregoers. Didn't actually get round to mentioning his *name*, but had a lot of nice shots of him compared to the English version.

I actually saw Wimbledon when it first came out on video. From what I remember it was a pretty good movie. Too bad about JFC not making the Emmys : (

ReplyDeleteI've seen all 3 Fischer videos now. We will have to keep checking back - I bet he will do more in future. Not sure if these are being done weekly, or what. He looks great, lean, like he has been running to keep in shape. And, he seems totally comfortable in his own skin.
ReplyDeleteSomeone on WFT2 posted a sighting of Jake in NY. He was also reported to be on a beach in LA making out with a guy earlier in the week per data lounge. Can't be that many guys who look like Jake walking around. I guess he will surface eventually. Grain of salt. Grain of salt all around.
