The Devil Made Me Do It

You may think he's an angel but there's more devil in that man than most realize or want to admit. Tonight we get to see Austin show more of his bad boy side as Julian in another episode of One Tree Hill. Austin's gotten some great mentions from just the first look at Julian, and it shows that he's getting recognition for great acting. It just stands apart, you can just see the talent. You have to believe that he'll be getting more coverage about his performance in the weeks and months to come.

Episode 6.09 "Sympathy for the Devil"
Summary: In a flashback scene, Peyton meets Julian for the first time as soon as she leaves Lucas' book signing in LA. (credit: Austin Nichols Journal/Spooky)

OTH has completed new episodes for the entire month of November, and then will be in reruns until returning after the first of the year with new episodes. What are the sweeps (February) without some devilish fun.
Now some may say that Austin's made a deal with the devil, or that Jake's the devil, or this hair cut on Austin makes his forehead have a horn pattern. Oh 666 it no more! Damien or Little Nicky they aren't but you know together they make sinning look a hell of a lot of fun.

Rick and Steve," the happiest gay couple in the world" on Logo were trying to think up Halloween costumes, and they think of Jake as Jesus would be a Sexy Savior and perfect to go with the Hot Hot Devil. Check it out.

There are pictures out of Gemma back in Morocco, you think Jesus and the Devil, oh you know who I mean, could be doing the whole new Twist on the Temptation in the Desert too?

Of course in the future if they get caught they can just say "they devil made me do it" and cover all their bases. Thank you Ms. Geraldine Jones.

You think they'll put this into the Namath movie? Cause this would be hysterical to see Jake get try to pull this off. Oh Tracy Morgan be his Geraldine!

Jesus, Joe, Jake, Austin AND Geraldine in one post - " Ohhhhh, now that's just too much honey!"

Tomorrow: Dates for JFC Discussion, OMG Movie Club, and OMG Cooking Klatch

  1. Kacie, that is great news about you getting back to work!

Still dunno if I'm going to watch OTH. Maybe I'll DVR it and then decide.

  2. Special, you disappoint me. I can't believe you didn't find a way to work in Mary as well. ;)

I'll give you a Mary. Back in college a friend of a friend (both gay men), whenever he saw a really hunky guy would say "there's a horse for you Mary".

So are they continuing to film OTH? I assume they'll break for the holidays, so I guess they must be shooting some episodes now for January.

  3. Oh Mary, please!

Sometimes a lady has to use a little decorum. ; )

  4. Oh Mary, please!

I've always wondered why so many gay men are named Mary.

  5. I've always wondered about the origins of the use of Mary too. Finally found a question that Wikipedia can't answer.

  6. Check the Urban Dictionary.

  7. Thanks wordsmith. I always forget about that source. Here's one of their explanations:

A name gay men use to refer to each other. It was used extensively in 1960's Greenwitch Village to piss off the cops.
Also, while crusing, it's an inconspicuous way to ask someone if there up for it.

  8. Dear Ted:
Several times you've told us that you don't believe the whole Jake/Reese romance thing. Now you tell us that Reese really likes Jake? Which is it, Ted?
    —Roe

    Dear Look Deeper:
There are many forms of like.

    Dear Ted:
I've been reading about Toothy Tile for years. Is he Denzel Washington?
    —gailnowak

    Dear Wondering Washington:
Haven't you been reading our column? Den's a happily married man, as he squacked to us. T.T. can't say the same about his relaysh—or won't.

  9. My friends call buff gay guys Big Marys. I like Teds answer about many forms of like. Reese like money, Reese like someone depending on her, Reese like power. Reese better start liking someone else soon. OMG Special you're right about Austin horn hair. LOL
Last weeks OTH I thought Austin was nervous in his 1st scene but then later he was ok. I realized later it wasn't him nervous, it was Julian nervous about the 1st contact with the guy (Lusas?). He was more confident in the bar and smooth as devil silk with the girl. Austin thought it through didn't he. I think he's a good actor.

Austin Horn Hair..LOL except I don't think 666 I think sexsexsex. he's totally a man, THE man in that show.

Wicked you might not mind watching OTH. They play new music on the show all the time. Theres also a lot of cute young girls in it. Imagine them doing fantasy swimming in the local One Tree Hill swim hole in the remote country wilderness while you wait for Austin's next scene. Jusy because you're on a diet doesn't mean you can't look at the menu. LOL. Besides I heard Sophia Bush has a thing for sweet mermaids named Wicked.

  10. I have my H card - and it says I can use Mary and Nelly, right on the back. : )

Friend of mine has a platinum H card, (I'm only a gold member) so much so that we call her Sister Mary.

Chris - you got the 666 - didn't know if anyone would catch it.

And what else would a boy from Austin want but Horn hair. Even if Texas got knocked out of #1 by Texas Tech Sat.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Chris, that was a very nice pitch for OTH. They should pay you!

  12. I get the won't part, but I wonder what Ted means by the bit about "T.T. can't say the same about his relaysh".

    ReplyDelete
  13. Chris, you do make me smile :)

I have so much to catch up on (two lots of OTH for a start). *Of course* Austin has thought everything through :*

    ReplyDelete
  14. I think Ted is making more of the point about the "won't", but that's just me.

    ReplyDelete
  15. I agree that the emphasis is on the "won't".

Washington might be another reference to money, as well as the obvious reference to Denzel.

Sounds like Ted is saying Toothy is happily married to someone Destiny.

  17. And lets hope after tomorrow they can stay legally happily married.

    Dear Look Deeper:
There are many forms of like.

"Roe" .. 1st thing came to mind even before I noticed "Look Deeper" was Wade vs Roe. Not that Teds answert has anything to do with abortion (well maybe "abort Reese" LOL) but it has to with water, rowing, wading, getting deeper. And then I saw he called the person "Look Deeper". Maybe its just me..but hmm. Interesting.

Yea, abort Reese. Abort the bearding stat. Shoulda been done a long time ago when it was early and easy. Now it's gonna be big, ugly and messy. Nobody wins with this one.

I wonder about the "can't" not the "won't". Won't is obvious - the bearding answers that. The can't..maybe things aren't going so well right now with big changes and equal partners and another person to consider and "I was raised this way and it worked out for me" being said on both sides and artguments about what's the right thing to do and who earns more money (and thinks they have more power) and who's spending more time with the baby.

My momma always said your children will always test you and prove you wrong and make liars out of you but in the end it's exactly what you need and you'll love them more for it.

Happy you liked my comment and smiled London. Mybe Mermaid will swim over to the Hill and tread awhile. Tell the CW to make the check out to cash.

  19. Yes, I think Ted is saying that, unlike Denzel, TT is happily married but "can't" squawk (interesting choice of words, as in goose)about it, maybe due to (contractual movie obligations?) - or wont. I noticed toe Roe too, and thought of Roe v. Wade (and other constitutional amendments), and also, one of the letter is signed from a "GailNowak", which sounded like Novak, who was a beautiful blonde actress in the 50's who, in order to make her the next big thing, was rumored to be dating this one and that one in HW, but maybe not really. Too much time on my hands, I guess. ;)

    ReplyDelete
  20. Roe as in fish eggs too, a reference to water, and babies. Can't as in maybe there's a contract.

I think J&A may be married, not in the legal sense of the word, but rather a commitment ceremony. If they were legally married there would be a record of it.

OT, Obama's grandmother passed away today. I feel really bad that she didn't live to see the election.

    ReplyDelete
  21. ^^sorry, make that Roe: Constitutional right, Supreme Court decision. Thank you! :)

  22. Can i just say to everyone in the on OMG in the US that I hope everything goes well tomorrow. You probably have some idea how much the rest of the world wants Obama to win, but please make it happen.

  23. Can't linger long. I have to leave in 10 minutes for class. But I did just want to pop in and say hi.

I'm so glad I've got my voting done. Mail in balloting is the way to go.

I really, really like that first picture of Austin. He looks like one bad boy in that one.

I got tired of that big pilgram hat. Lookit Mr. PotatoHead, lol! He's a float in the Macy's parade.

That's all I bring to the table tonight, lol. Gotta brush the teeth & git.

  24. You know whats funny about the reekers/babblers is they totally tell their age and lovelife. Ask any one in their 20s or 30s if they care if Jake or any star is gay and they say no, anyone should live the way they want and it doesn't matter if he's a good actor and who the hell cares about Jake, he's just another actor. But the babblers omg they're fighting on all the sites that Jake is straight and in love with Reese and no way is he gay or bi or has a baby or is TT or ever lies. What are these people, straight lonely rigid women in their 60s who never get out of the house who have to fight for someone they don't even know so they can lead a fantasy life? Alot of them call Jake "young" and a "baby' on other fan sites..he's almost 28, almost 30 for fucks sake. If they think almost 30 is a baby then how fucking old are these fan 'gurls' anyway? Ancient grandmas? Ok if they like younger guys but they need to get a life of their own and keep their private fantasies of being Reese (actress, Oscar, blah blah) to themselves and keep their big wet dream of being with Jake under wraps. The more they push their fantasy crap on everyone else the more I think something is terribly wrong with them. They need to put a working bulb in those lamps and see the light shine on their old fat faces.

  25. I can't believe it is finally time to vote. I hope we do make the right decision tomorrow. It is time for America to become the respected friend and ally that it used to be. Lets hope that unity is what people are thinking in America tomorrow and not division or hate.

I am headed to visit Europe on Friday. No I am not going to London to visit Jake but to Vienna, Austria with my friend Ron who has friends that live in there. To say the least I am so excited. We also plan to visit Salzburg and Innsbruck.

I agree with you Destiny. Jake and Austin probably couldn't take a chance on getting married legally but are committed to each other secretly. Who knows how much time they have seen each other since reeke. Probaly a lot more than we will ever know. It seems like Jake and reese have been together so much but those pictures and videos take so little time.

I wish we knew exactly when Jake left London and how long he stayed in NYC before he left for LA. No one knows the actual date that picture of Jake leaving Heathrow was taken as least as far as I know and I bet PR doesnt want anyone to know.

  26. Man, Edison, you sound a little bitter, lol. After yesterday's Out Spotlight and blogger discussion, you need to criticize anyone over 30? Kinda need to watch it on that subject around here, ok?

I'm in my 40's and I'm straight. Does that make me a "babbler" or a "Reeker"? No. I'm strictly a fan and I'm a straight person who supports gay rights. You know, maybe the "trolls" are right. When comments like yours are made, it seems like the attitude is taken that people are either a babbler or a TB'er. Why do there have to be labels on everyone? Why do we have to do that?

I had to get on here and say something because there was alot of negativity towards older women in your statement. There's nothing wrong with being 40 or 50 or 60 or 70 or 80 or even 90. There's alot of experience & beauty in those ages. And there's nothing with being 40 or 50 or 60 or 70 and having a libido for gosh sakes. Sexual desire & admiration doesn't stop @ 25 for women, let me tell you that right now. I can only speak for myself & say that I have a stronger libido now than I ever did when I was 25.

That may be a little more information than some people here need or want to know. But that's the only way I can express myself and that's to be brutally honest.

Oh. And I also have called Jake "young" several times in my comments. Heck yeah, because I'm 40ish. (lol, you all aren't going to get my age out of me that easily!) and to those of us in that age range, he's young. That doesn't make me a cradle robber or a grandma. When someone says "young", it doesn't always mean just in years. It also implies simple life experience.

And by gosh, just because I'm not 20 or 30, doesn't mean I've lost my eyesight and can't admire a good looking man with long legs & a tight butt in a pair of denim jeans who happens to be 20. I'm not dead yet.

I may be a TB'er but I'm going to stand up for the population (gasp! the other side!) you're criticizing on this one.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Tom, have a great time visiting Austria.

I watched One Tree Hill; Austin was great in it! I missed it last week. He said "I love you" in this episode, I wonder if a certain someone gets told that on occasion. :)

Edison sounds about as bright as a two-watt bulb anyway, PG. I have to say that on certain things you mention above, ahem, I have to agree. Plus, we know what we're doin'. We may be older, but we ain't dead yet. That's when I'll stop admirin' good lookin' men. lol

    ReplyDelete
  28. I'm north of forty too, and I think there are others here as well, so it's not just an age thing. However, I do think older people in general are less accepting of gays and lesbians than younger people, and perhaps care more about the sexuality of stars. That younger people care less is evidenced by the fact there are so many gay people on the types of reality shows that get a younger audience.

Totally agree with you PG about not being dead, and appreciating long legs......which is why it's so nice to see Asutin in those jeans on OTH.

Tom, I know I'll forget it later in the week, so I'm going to wish you bon voyage now. I'm sure you're going to have a great time.

    ReplyDelete
  29. So we got a little more background on Julian and Peyton, good bit of Austin and the first of him kissing the ladies of the OTH.

Oh the fashion front. Loved the first time he met Peyton, Graphic T, Hoodie and messenger bag.

I 'm on the white shirt with the double pocket watch now. Since it showed up in twice this episode in the flashbacks of him three years ago. My money is that its one of the Tim Gunn's Guide to Style ten essentials items for your closet. If he pulls out a trench or the quintessential LBD. I'm going to be cracking up. And yes jeans are one of the essentials Dest.

SPOILER BELOW-- For those who haven't seen it yet.

Julian and Peyton the L word and living together? Drama Drama Drama

So do you think Julian is doing the movie because the story is good, or to get Peyton back?

    NEXT WEEK

    A punch in the face!
And Sophia to fall for his charm?

  30. Have an awesome trip Tom and wear that Phillies hat with pride.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Austin was great, wasn't he? The other thing I noticed was one of the actors from Zodiac is in OTH - Lee Norris?

    ReplyDelete
  32. I think a little bit of both, Spesh. He's a bit devilish, a bit aggressive career-wise, but he's got a soft side that he doesn't let many other see - and Peyton is one who has. :)

    ReplyDelete
  33. However, I do think older people in general are less accepting of gays and lesbians than younger people, and perhaps care more about the sexuality of stars. That younger people care less is evidenced by the fact there are so many gay people on the types of reality shows that get a younger audience.

I don't know if this is true; we are the older people now, and I know I haven't changed my ideals over the years. I don't know if young people are more accepting or not, if inclusion in reality TV programs are an indication of that, or just for ratings and the coolness factor, if it is real acceptance, I don't know. Some of the nasty name calling & violent behaviour directed at gay people is by the young, not the old. I wish there were statistics.

At any rate, OMG prides itself on being fair and not resorting to insulting a broad range of people to make a point, so there's no call for lumping everybody together into one generalized group. Some people know a little about history, Edison, because they crack open a book once in awhile, not because of their age. Try it. It might expand that narrow mind of yours that's limited to babblers and anti-babblers.

Anyway, good nite all, and happy voting! :)

  34. "Don't fuck this one up."

Exactly. Don't put another mediocre, fifth-rate political thug into the White House.

    Vote McCain/Palin.

    ReplyDelete
  35. "north of forty". lol, Destiny, I like that.

You probably are right about the age thing and tolerance/feelings towards gays. Has everything to do with how things were 20 years ago as opposed to now. But I wish it wasn't held against the straights so much. I will say this and that is I've done a 180 degree turn in the last several years. It's been a real dramatic change in the way I've thought and has put me at odds with some friends who still think the way I used to. I'm big enough to admit that I've not always been the way I am now. I've also done a 180 on the death penalty. My spiritual beliefs and the movie Dead Man Walking totally changed me against the death penalty whereas I used to be totally for it. People's feelings & beliefs can change and it doesn't matter your age. All it takes is some open mindedness and/or someone or something to make a tremendous impact on you. It's never too late and I am personal testimony to that.

Once again, I hope my former self isn't a disappointment or source of resentment to anyone here. All I can ever hope to be is point blank honest about who I've been and where I am now. That's how people grow. That's how we turn the tides and make progress.

Kind of a heavy way to end the evening but I don't mind getting messy & indepth if no one else does. It's great if we can be open about stuff like this & still come out friends.

Love you all and sweet dreams.

And where in the heck is my pal, Popcorn????

    ReplyDelete
  36. You're right too tedspeaker about violence against gays and lesbians coming from the very young, but that is true of violence in general. And there are statistics that back that up; most violent crimes are committed by the young.

But I also know I've seen articles written about how television has changed, and a lot of that does have to do with the fact that people in power tend to be younger than those on the movie side, and those younger creative people tend to be on the newer shows, i.e., reality shows.

But I totally agree about you when it comes to OMG, we shouldn't lump people together like that, and my point was perhaps a bad attempt to counter that.

I agree with netb, I think Austin's character in OTH is a bit of both. And I think you may be right about that actor--I kept thinking he reminded me of someone. And the wild foster child was on Joan of Arcadia, a show I still miss.

    ReplyDelete
  37. This comment has been removed by the author.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Oh yes, you are right Destiny about the wild child. Anyway, Austin makes the entire show. Can't wait for next week, but not sure how I feel about Austin getting belted! ;) Nite!

    ReplyDelete
  39. PG, I would never hold the fact that someone has grown and changed over time against them, and I've got to give you a lot of credit for talking honestly about it, it's not always an easy thing to do when you know a lot of people have taken a different path to where they are. Hey, I think that means you just "came out". :-D

    ReplyDelete
  40. You know what I thought of when I saw that preview of Austin getting belted--Austin getting belted in Wimbledon.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Austin got punched in the face in JFC too. I can't remember if he took a hit in Deadwood or not.

Austin said Jake is great teacher, did anyone notice Gyllenhaalic lip lick?

    ReplyDelete
  42. Prairie Girl and Netb sorry if it sounded bad. Nothings wrong with age but under 40/30 there aren't that many homophobes. You guys might be older but you think for yourselves and have open minds. Theres the difference. On 1 slash site where I used to hang and where the Reeke following started most babblers are older [over 40] homophobic and conservative straight women. [I wish I could tell you more about their leader but its mean and would prolly reveal who i am]. Its ok in their minds to read slash because its fiction but in reallife they're homophobes. Thats why the Reeekers push Reese and Jake down evryones throats. Slash fantasy is 1 thing but for these old style women Real Jake has to be straight and thats why they fight so hard about it and troll here and Teds and imitate people here at OMG like Special and Wicked and Destiny anywhere they can. Jake having to be straight is personal to them. sorry if I didn't get my point across very well. Physical age wasn't the point it was age state of mind and growing up.

    ReplyDelete
  43. No, I missed that, Spesh - but I'd be happy to re-watch. ;) If I were Peyton, I'd go for Julian. Now I really must say goodnite! :)

    ReplyDelete
  44. Funny, my guess re the Babbler website was that they were young, not old. Not because of their maniacal desire to have Jake be straight, but because they make up all these scenarios based on a few tossed out dates, times, OK or Star facts. They've had pregancies, weddings, you name it. Almost like fan fic but they think it is real. Maybe it is education level and experience. I know for sure they do not grasp the concept of flight time and distance so probably have not traveled much. I don't want to sound like I am criticizing them, just observing. Each site has it's own personality.

In case anyone is interested, photos of the wedding mentioned yesterday (cant recall the name but it's the Will and Grace guy)are on Defamer. Nice looking couple and their babies are in one shot.

Re Ted's comment about marriage. I recall some reference to Toothy legalizing the arrangement way back. It may have been on ent lawyers site, not AT.

OTH starting right now for us in PST so I am off to watch.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Denzel is one of the most famous cheaters in HW. I don't know if Jaustin would want to follow that marriage.

Good luck to all of you in the US. It's a very big day for you and I look forward to watching it on my screen down under.

  46. Good morning! Just a Happy Voting to everyone out there.

Think I'll either leave the TV off or play a video. Not that I don't care about the results, but I've had more than my fill of all the ads, the arguing, and the nastiness coming from both sides. I am so tired of all of it.

Everyone have a great day. I've got to get going; work's a real bear right now.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Oh, and Edison, I apologize for my rant last night as well. Sometimes I get a burr up my butt and don't let it go.

I also voted about 2 weeks by absentee ballot. I truly hope that
Jake and Austin have made a real
