Triple AAA Monday

A little catching up for a Monday.

Staying informed on Informers.Sony has secured a deal with Senator Films for the video distribution and TV rights for Senators films, the first being Informers. Variety is saying that Informers will be released in the first quarter of 2009, but did say it could get moved - now Spout blog says Informers will be released in May. Think there is a lot working off of what happens with Mickey Rourke and his incredible performance in The Wrestler and what happens in awards season . Senator will want to use that good buzz to help bring in more interest for Informers.

But sooner is better than later...

Check out Austin tonight in all hipster glory working his mojo on both Peyton and Brooke? And who knows what will happen with Lucas now that he knows Julian and Peyton were once in love in Episode 6.10 "Even Fairy Tale Characters Would Be Jealous". Let's see how many more people say he looks like Shane West after this episode. One great thing Austin gets more fans each episode he's on.
Next week Austin will get to go back in vintage time for the episode on One Tree Hill, back to the 1940's with a film noir feel and getting to play a henchmen.

This week more Austin goodness - with OMG's JFC Discussion starting Friday evening November 14th at 5:00 EST and through Saturday November 15th. We are looking at Episode 3 - His Visit: Day Two Continued. Shaun's condition is much improved; John makes Kai see God; Barry sings a Debby Boone song; Cass gives Mitch a lift; Butchie has a bad hair day; Dr. Smith believes in miracles.

Continuing discussing discussions. We have a our Movie Club movie choice for November.

  1. Not happy to hear that The Informers may be delayed to May. That seems to be happening with a lot of movies lately. But the prospect of Austin in 40's wear is exciting. I wonder if he will wear a hat. Men did in those days.

  2. Wow, delayed until May? I wonder if the economy is having anything at all to do with these delays?

Okay, I'm going to set my VCR (noooo, I don't have a DVR - still stuck in the Ice Age here) for OTH tonight. It's on at 8 CT here so I'm going to be at my art class. I'll be totally lost but that's alright. Shows like these, it's not too hard to get caught up in them & get a grasp of what's going on. I see now the kind of show it is - it's like 90210, Dallas, Knots Landing, Dawson's Creek, etc. etc, isn't it? Nowwww I see your reluctance, Wicked, lolll! wink, wink. I think that's funny.

Very easy to get wrapped up in these kinds of shows, though. Before you know it, lol, you're glued to this type of fluffy drama. And they're great exposure. Good for Austin! He looks great in that second picture.

  3. Its not a given that is will be May.

I really think it depends on the buzz from Mickey Rourke and The Wrestler. Senator Films would be fools not to jump on and use the buzz to release Informers. Variety is saying first quarter so we will have to wait and see.

We do get to see Austin on OTH now and in the spring, and Prayers for Bobby will be on Lifetime.

We actually get to see him before we see Jake. With Brothers and Prince of Persia being pushed back, and the limbo that is Nailed.

  4. As much as I'd hate to wait until May, that is considered a better date as movies in the first quarter often get overlooked. It would mean they think it has potential as an early summer movie.

I haven't read it yet, but EW has a story on OTH, and it includes a small picture of Austin in a scene with Peyton.

  5. Prairie girl, you do not need to know the plot to watch OTH. You can pretty much figure out everything you need to know during one episode. It is good that Informers is not due out in January or February. Those dates are reserved for movies the studios dont care about.

  6. I wonder why EW didn't use the picture of Austin on the website.

  7. Just got back from going to the Eagles loss to the Giants last night. So great to be in the stadium and see live football. So horrifying the way we played. Sigh.

And I got to see my ex-girlfriend's family, who I haven't seen for a while. They are going through a really difficult situation that I am so glad they told me about, because I might be able to help. Yay! This is the stepmother of my ex-girlfriend who used to not let me in the house when we were dating but now has a fit if I come to Jersey and don't see her. People can, do, and will change. Education is the key. Personally, I like the idea of flooding Utah with LGBT folks. Could you imagine the reaction?!

  8. Thanks for all of this great new Austin info. I can't wait to see him in the film noir episode of OTH.

BTW, I love your choice of photos, Special.

    And for Antony yesterday.

  11. I watched some of last weeks episode of OTH on fancast (eps 8 I think it was). Austin seemed a little stiff to me but im sure he'll loosen up with each episode. It must be hard to do such a scripted series vs doing a movie. He looked really good and im glad he's busy with lots of projects. I can definately wait til May if necc : )

  12. Episode 8 "Our Life is not a Movie or Maybe" was the first episode Austin did for OTH. And you're right Clarity Austin is already starting to loosen up in Ep. 9

He did mention that he has to stick to the script for OTH, and don't think he's been used to that. Seems like he's had the chance to tinker with what he get say in his other roles.

  13. Drew Barrymore and James Franco joined in the protests against Prop. 8 over the weekend.

    Drew B. James F.

I think it's great that they're both doing this, but especially Franco, given the rumors about him. Nice to see someone really doing more than giving lip service to a movie's message.

  14. And for Antony yesterday.

That song is from their new EP. A full-length is coming in a few months.

  15. For those of you looking to save a few bucks, by using the searchword Shelter, I discovered you can watch Shelter in its entirety on Youtube. The down side is the pic quality is not like a dvd, and you have to view it in 10 segments of about 7 to 9 minutes. But, free is free. There are video clips by multiple posters, so pick one and stick with them for continuity and to eliminate overlaps.

  16. Keith Olbermann had a great commentary on Prop. 8. It would be a bit better if he lost some of the theatrical delivery he always uses for his commentary, but what he has to say is wonderful.

    Special Comment on Prop. 8

Wicked, I'm jealous you got to go the Eagles-Giants. It was an exciting game.

  17. M - looks like you'll get to see Austin in Fedora from the previews for next week.

Since it showed in the previews you know that Austin takes a punch from Lucas in tonight's episode. But you still don't know what Julian is doing. He's a charmer and up to no good. But no good is he up to?

  18. We didn't get to see enough of Austin this week. The emphasis was definitely on the music. I enjoyed the scene with Sophia, they looked like they were having fun.

Was Austin in the previews for next week--I didn't see him. Do we know for a fact he is supposed to be in the 40s episode--and is it a continuation of the stories, or a stand alone episode?

  19. Sign Petition to Strip Mormon Church of Tax Exempt Status

    Dear Ted:
Please ask your readers to sign this petition to strip the LDS church of its tax credit for political activism. In all likelihood, Prop 8 would not have passed had the LDS church not intervened. All IRC section 501(c)(3) organizations, including churches must abide by certain rules: **Their net earnings may not inure to any private shareholder or individual; they must not provide a substantial benefit to private interests; they must not devote a substantial part of their activities to attempting to influence legislation; they must not participate in, or intervene in, any political campaign on behalf of (or in opposition to) any candidate for public office; and the organization's purposes and activities may not be illegal or violate fundamental public policy. If [the Mormon Church] wants to be political, then it can pay taxes just like you and me.
    —Betty

  21. Some of the nice people who helped save my neck, probably The Humane Society of The United States, has a separate lobbying affiliate incorporated as a 501(c)(4) non-profit, social welfare organization, which gives a broader ability to lobby for legislation than 501(c)(3). Don't blame me, I'm no hater! :)
