XY....Z

Baby - it's all about good jeans.

Now while a tee and jeans is kind of de rigueur, its all about how you look in them that makes you go from good to God in them as the beat pulses and the lights are low.

What do you think? Good jeans make the best of both?

They both have shown on screen what those back pockets and denim cover, what do you think?

Is Jake's baggy ones saying he is taken man and don't bother looking? Or is he just like 'em to hang and leave a lot to the imagination?

And Austin - looks he's got the fine art of teasing in some of his, but sure that his pairs for partying are little bit tighter. Cause we know that boy likes to show off his ... ahem... assets, well at least in automobiles.

Let's not forget what Ted's NY eyes said:

Denim Addendum: “Both had on blue jeans wrapped around perfect butts,” added our boyish spy, above, for the really important deets. Jake’s dude-pal/whatever “probably had the better butt,” sassed our unsubtle source. “It was slightly rounder, and his jeans fit a bit more snuggly.”

Speaking of jeans - kudos to Levi's

Bold decisions Levi's has made over the years.

In 1897:

Founder Levi Strauss donates funds for 28 scholarships at UC Berkeley with half going to women.

1940s:

Levi's integrates its factories in California and vows not to locate facilities in municipalities where segregation is mandated.

1980s:

Levi's pioneers workplace practices and policies on HIV/AIDS that are later adopted by hundreds of employers around the world. Levi's also becomes a founding member of the Global Business Coalition on AIDS.

In 1992:

Levi's becomes the first Fortune 500 company to extend health benefits to the unmarried partners of its employees.

In 2007:

Levi's is the only California company to file a brief with the state's Supreme Court in support of same-sex marriage.

In 2008:

Levi's joined a campaign to defeat Prop 8, which seeks to eliminate the right of same-sex couples to marry. The company pledged $25,000 to Equality for All, the association leading the No on 8 charge. And Robert Haas, Levi's chairman emeritus, along with his wife donated $100,000.

Remember it's not about how much those back pockets cost ya, its who's hand slides in them.

  1. What a great post. I knew Levi's was gay friendly, but I didn't realize to what extent, or that they've had a long history of being progressive.

My favorite look on both J&A are jeans. And there are not many men who look as good as Austin in a white pair of jeans.

  4. Placed into a small decorative glass aquarium filled with colorful sand and a live scorpion or two, the Prince and Tamina makes a lovely table centerpiece. The sword even doubles as a butter knife!

  5. Did you think I would include that one picture or what? It still makes me wonder how Austin got in those white jeans, cause like I said before you wonder if they had to cut them off him to get him out of them.

I wonder what ever happen to those raw demin jeans Jake was working on breaking in? Haven't seen them in a while, he's gone back to his cozy clothes.

It is great to see a company like Levi's be a long and consistent in being progressive business leaders.

  6. Special ITA with Destiny, great post. I don'y know much on Levi company, how gay friendly they are. Nice to know now. Wonder if thats a reason why Matt McBongo named his boy Levi. Only thing about Jakes jeans is why so long. Can see if they're Austins but still they drag on the street picking up crap. Haven't seen the new pics, are his jeans still a foot too long?

Those are 2 butt ugly legos. btw whats the blue drips on the Prince face? Someone he jostled with had blue balls? haha

  7. Special we both wondered at the same time where the long raw jeans are lol. Those white jeans are cool. Is it a belt or part of the jeans waist? Can't tell. Austin looks like a college boy hanging on the Strand in winter for a party drinks a bong and he won't say no. And I say yes to that.

  8. Oh gag me. RDJ and Reese in talks to be in this new science fiction film. Double gag). This is from Production Weekly courtesy of twitter:

  9. Cool commerical. I kept waiting for the guys to hold hands.

  10. Well now we know the foursome were not together as "friends". Probably it was just another business meeting to see if RDJ and Reese could get along. Somehow I do not see that happening long term. He is a forceful personality I think and will not simply do as he is told.

  11. Gee I really want to be a famous action movie star but I just don't know if I could work with someone as low down as RDJ. He uses that dastardly f-word in polite conversation all the time, I read he's a bisexual who has s-e-x with all of his costars and he'll probably expect me to do the dirty with him in his trailer while his nasty wife watches us and get this, this is soooo disgusting, he's even *whispers* shot up heroin. Isn't that so white trash? My daddy the doctor and my mama the nurse would just die if they knew I was associating myself with that kind of element. Plus the worst part I heard about RDJ is that he likes to joke on set. I don't know if I can work with someone like that, I just don't know.

  12. You don't know anything, you're just letting your prejudices define your viewpoint (such obvious prejudices too). Nice to see friends and their partners getting on and working together. I hope the film is good; it's been a long time since a great scifi film hit the screens.

Been a long time since RW has done a decent film. Actually she has done only one in her life. Hvae no clue where that came from/

  15. I think she's done a few good films; Pleasantville, Legally Blonde, Election, American Psycho, Walk the Line. But I was talking about good scifi films, so I hope this one is a good one.

  16. Does anyone give a shit about Reese's movies? I don't think so.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Unfortunaetly Jake, no one gives a shit about your movies either.

  18. At least five moaning posters here give a shit, unless they're all the same person.

  19. Chris - it's part of the jeans. And Austin's is channeling a lot of the 70's something in it. One thing to know about the Details shoot was - the clothes were Tom Ford for Gucci, you wonder if he was trying to tweek his look like he did for the Vanity Fair Photo shoot Jake did with Annie Liebowitz.

  20. The plot of the movie that Reese and RJD are in talks for is a rip off of another movie that was dumb and this sounds even dumber. Reese is a movie star but she doesn't make good movies anymore. Don't get your hopes up for "good scifi".

  21. What movie is it ripping off?

  22. I just came out of Ian Halperin's chat with gossip blogger Dawn Olsen.

According to Ian's sources, Jake had a big crush on Heath. He asked Dawn if she heard about this. She said yes. Ian also doesn't think that Austin/Jake really had that much going on--although they do have a habit of "showing up at the same events." He says Jake was in love with Heath Ledger who broke his heart. Dawn says that's conceivable for Jake to fall for someone like Heath who was heterosexual--and for Jake to have his hopes up even though Heath was straight and was gay-friendly.

  25. A very sweet tribute by Pat Sajak to the man who took care of his wardrobe. Merv Griffin must be spinning in his grave over how Wheel of Fortune has become so gay-friendly. Just another sad example of a closeted gay man who was part of the problem.

  27. "Ian also said someone told him that after Heath died, Jake took up with Austin but Ian does NOT believe that. He really doesn't think there was anything that much going on between Austin and Jake even though "they show up alot at the same event" because according to Ian, Jake was in love with Heath and had his heart broken by him. ANd has never gotten over it yet."

  41. Good morning! Hey, if anyone sees a blogging muse floating around somewhere, it's mine! I lose things all the time, but this one is really bothering me. For the life of me....

Speaking of blogging muse, where's yours, ne??? Where are you??? I'll help you look for yours if you'll help me find mine, k?

Kacieee! Good morning, girl, you killed me this morning with your double posts. I'm excited about your new 'puter, anyway. No matter who gets one, it's always exciting. Because you know that there's going to be something on there that yours doesn't have. That's new & "standard", that wasn't standard when you got yours, lol.

Well, I can't linger, gotta start previewing this for mistakes; that's part of what always takes me so long to post. Hopefully, today at lunch.....that went to pot on Monday when I went to Price Chopper with my coworker to take advantage of Dannon Yogurt for .48, I think it was, can't remember for sure. And Fritos & Cheetos & Cheese Puffs for .98, limit of 3. Can't beat that. Love those President's Day Sales. Imperial 1/4's for .38. Dang! Limit 2. Then yesterday, I was getting ready to type and my little buddy wanted to chat. How can I turn that down? So there went my lunch hour. Anyway, hope to try again today!

Everyone have a really, really, really nice day.

  42. Dear Ted:
    Dear Ted:
Besides his obviously bizarre personal life, is Toothy Tile generally regarded by the public as being eccentric?
    —Lynn, Connecticut

    Dear Actions or Words:
His public appearances are hardly odd. Not for this town.

    Dear Ted:
Is Casey Affleck the infamous Toothy Tile? Is Catherine Zeta-Jones the scandalous Fake à la Ferocity?
    —Kate

    Dear Twice the Vice:
No to both. FALF is dwindling Lohan style; Jones seems quite healthy.

    Dear Ted:
I was just watching HSM3 and my gaydar was off the charts when it came to Zac Efron. Any chance he's Toothy Tile or Nevis Devine?
    —I

    Dear Homofron:
Zac's too young to be Toothy. Fab guess on Nevis though, but wrong guy. Think less dimply.

  43. Dear Ted:
Would you say the majority of celebrities had to "put out" at some point in their career so they could get a role in a movie, TV show or even a singing gig? Know you can't give me a name outright, but can you give me the initials of the worst offender in T-town who's notorious for casting couch auditions?
    —Kat

    Dear Feisty Gal:
    Starts with a K...

    Dear Ted:
I love your column, but please be fair with your gay outings. If a gay or bi celebrity somehow shows his or her gay side in public, you should praise it and not write about it as a blind vice, OK?
    —Janet

    Dear Complimentary Out:
Didn't you know, darling, being in one of our Vices is praise—it means you're making it in this town!

  44. Katzenberg - let's hope not, Dest! Thatis just plain ol' nauseating to think about. And I'm not joking!

Hey, we're having our 1st qtr birthday luncheon today here. Boy, if it's not one thing, it's another. So here I am, trying to get in a small hey.

    hey!

    lol

Seems like Ted's running out of steam on TT, don't it? Either that, or like alot of Jake's fandom, just getting plain fed up & bored with a capital B. I think people have already guessed Zac Efron. He's recycling guesses!

I could really unload on Jake's management team right now for what I think they've done to his fandom, or are at least halfway to blame for, not going to let Jake escape a part of that. But I'm waiting to see what everyone is waiting to see. Either what those 2 are up to this week while they're in hiding (while the Egypt story floats out there) or after they get back. And I have all kinds of thoughts on either/if/or.

In the meantime, I'll lay low & calm. inhale. exhale.. Lol.

    Well, back to work!

  45. He's recycling guesses!

He's been recycling guesses for a while now, PG.

    ReplyDelete
  46. I'm sure people send Ted more interesting questions, but maybe he's not using those because he doesn't have the answers.

Now the real interesting question is who has been on K's casting couch. I've never heard any stories about Katzenberg, so I don't even know which sex would be involved.

    ReplyDelete
  47. I think sometimes Ted recycles because he's making a point about the other person, not TT. Take Zac, there's a recent blind item about the casting couch and a new film in the works, people seem to think it's Zac (I can't remember the film) and that would tie back to the other question to Ted. And mentioning him with TT is also to get across the point that Zac does in fact have something in common with TT.

    ReplyDelete
  48. I'm sure people send Ted more interesting questions

I'm sure someone asked about Ian and "outing".
