The Eagle has landed.

Don't know if Doug Linman's Moon Project will ever take off with Jake getting to play the renegade with the theory about moon colonization, sent into space without even knowing it and forced to prove it. It might just orbit in development until it breaks apart and turn into a Skylab of a movie.

But today is all about Moon Men to celebrate the 40th anniversary of man walking on the moon.

So a little moonlight for both Jake and Austin.

Jake seems to celebrate the moon and space on screen.

That cod piece looks a little sturdier than PoP's.

And Austin?
Celebrates the moon his very own way.

Well it's a little tough in that outfit.

Sometimes you do need a wingman.

2:10 Update: First look of the official Disney Poster for Prince of Persia (UK)

  1. It looks like Jake had a Sat. night out to see Coldplay according to Marc Malkin's tweet.

Think he was whistling Philadelphia Freedom?

  2. Darn, the beard missed out on another chance to prove how hip she is. I'm sure They're both crushed.

  3. Is this a first look at one of Disney's official PoP posters?

  4. Okay, I can't believe I'm saying this, but the poster is cool.

  5. They look like they are the UK posters for PoP.

    Check out Gemma's too.

But no doubt there will be more PoP looks this week with Comic Con. Wonder if the US poster will be the same.

  6. Jake, Goopy and Tom Cruise at Coldplay, LOL!! Cool, um no. Reese arrives in Philly on Friday just in the nick of time!!

    That poster does look cool.

  7. Now how did my name get on that poster of Gemma. :-D

I was trying to be sarcastic when I said Reese missed an opportunity to be cool, I agree there is nothing hip about a Coldplay concert.

  8. Those posters look pretty good.

  9. I know you are going to fall over when you read this.

Picture of Jake is awesome, but I think they blew it on the font. It really doesn't go for a movie about Persia. I'm thinking, Helvetica? Love the red (the conflict, the warrior, the passion) connecting the two posters. Gemma looks great too.

  10. I really like how they managed to tie the posters together by adding a splash of red in both.

I'm wondering about the princess representing destiny (Dastan's I suppose), yet Dastan is supposed to defy his future.
Meaning they're not going to end up together?

Jake and Gemma are both looking really good in the pictures, although Gemmas look might not be PG enough for a Disney movie ;)
And Jake is resembling the pictures of Dastan's I have seen this far quite a lot, IMO.

Great minds think alike Stubborn. LOL!

  12. Agree, this poster looks pretty good. His hair looks a bit matted, but his face and body make up for it. It is about time they did something right.

Nice touch, but posters are average.

  14. Yes, the teaser one-sheet is good. Dramatic, eye catching, and the beefcake Jake (or for those girly skin lookers, Gemma), will garner at least a double take with a lingering stare.

But, does it make me want to see the movie?

    No.

Sorry I need to clarify that better - is should be

I'm thinking, isn't it Helvetica they used?

  17. Janice Min to leave US Weekly

  18. Granny goes to see that new movie "Prince of Persia" that the grandkids told her about.

She just hopes they sell prunes at the food counter as well.

  19. The tagline on Jakey's Prince of Persia poster
    should read: "Git It, Gurrrl!"

  20. That Nirvana/Rick Astley mash-up is brilliant!

  21. Read the thing about Janice Min and thought this was interesting.

But others say her decision may be due to drooping circulation. A magazine-industry source said: "Us Weekly has had a rough time this year and missed its rate base a lot. Life & Style outsold it several times. There's no way Jann would give her the same money for a new contract."

It's about out selling the competition, so you can keep up circulation with means keeping your up ad rates and ad revenue. And its all about who's on the cover that sells the magazine.

  22. "Jake, Goopy and Tom Cruise at Coldplay, LOL!! Cool, um no. Reese arrives in Philly on Friday just in the nick of time!!"

Well, Reese has at least taught Jake how to network better. He got free tickets from Goopy and got to meet Tom Cruise. Remember, Tom owns his own movie studio. Maybe Jake is trying to get private auditions for his next movie role.

  23. Re: things said about me on WFT2

It's easy to make assumptions about people without checking out the facts, or without regarding who the person really is. You could assume that living by the ocean that I swim, sounds logical, but the fact is that I don't like deep water at all and that's why I don't swim. It's saying because of this I must do/be that, and that decision was made about me based on what someone else wants it to be and not was it is. It's sad that people don't try to get to know each other, before they decide who people are, especially when it's so easy and we're all right here to ask each other. It's something I need to keep in mind too.

  24. I was at CVS picking up the old cholesterol meds and got to see the reeke page in people. It sure did sound that reese wanted to put put out the word that she had no plans to marry. I think that Jakes PR is a little worried that the hetero public that Jake so adores might start questioning why there have been no I dos at this point in the Lovefest. I think they very much want everyone to think that Jake wants to marry and granny keeps turning the poor love struck hetero puppy down.

  25. Not only the covers, but the content. If people don't like your magazine, they don't renew their subscriptions. I'm sure there were lots of mistakes in content, but you just know Reeke was one of them. Bet she's sorry she took on that arrangement.

And seeing the bit how how John and Kate was of course one of the big hits with tabloids, you've just got to wonder if people don't like reality stars like that because they perceive them as, well, more real. Now I know there is a certain amount of scripting that goes on with those shows, but still, and there have probably been some relationships just for these shows, but still, odds are that they are more real than the spoon-fed pr dribble that makes up a lot of the celebrity coverage.

  26. I love that Astley/Nirvana mashup, I think it really works!

  27. This made me laugh for a whole lot of reasons.

    Tweet about Austin

Austin Nichols is like a younger, hotter Vince Vaughn... Minus the comedy chops. And butt sex. He's yummy.

  28. Vince Vaughn? Ugh, no way. Did anyone ever think Vaughn was sexy or handsome. I don't think so, even when he was young. Funny though.

The reaction to the new POP poster is at least more moderate. About 50/50 pro vs con based on web comments.
