Flirt, Fidget, It's Flidget

Here are some more screencaps from the newest video Behind the Scenes on OTH. Is Austin more fidget or flirt?

And if you playing long in the Austin Nichols drinking game, take one for this lick he slipped in.

And the new promo picture from One Tree Hill.

There are more promo pictures at Austin Nichols Journal.
Still trying to figure out what the CW was thinking with the pictures they did. But there is something about this one of Austin that caught my eye.

Sweet Treat for the weekend. A clip some may have missed. Austin at the premiere of Glory Road, in January 2006.

"I am from Austin, Texas. My name's Austin"

Have a great Austin Friday and a start of a great holiday weekend for those celebrating Labor Day this Monday.

  1. Yeah, I will try that, Destiny. I go to that store whenever I'm dogsitting and I have a bill to pay. That's why I was there and it's real close to where 3 of my dogpeople live so it saves me 40 whatever cents it is now to mail a letter. Heck, I have stamps in my billfold and I don't even know what the current price is; I just pay it.

I know that WFT2 got banned at my public library that I've gone to a couple of times now to get on the internet. I don't know if I tried to get on there before or maybe they just filtered that one, too. I didn't know places could do that, filter by certain words. Good grief. Makes me feel like an outlaw, lol.

  2. One sidebenefit of dogsitting is the better cable. Last night on LOGO, they were showing My Private Idaho. I have never seen that and I just saw about the last 1/4 hr or so. Wow, I am really impressed with that River Phoenix. He was riveting in that. What a sad,sad looking movie, though. I doubt I could watch the whole thing; it was so depressing looking. And Keanu was so young looking. Fascinating way the director had of filming the sex scenes by using still shots. That was interesting; I had not seen that done before.

I'm always seeing these movies several years later after the fact.

And of course, ABC Family was showing Wilie Wonka!! Violet, you're turning violet, Violet!

LOL. I love that movie; just never get tired of hearing that line.

Oh, and then the night before on HBO Demand, there was Brokeback. I've been wanting to watch that again and I thought I would just watch about the first hour (I always skip over Alma, Lureen, and the divorce postcard scene. Alma & Lureen bore me and the divorce postcard scene just tears me up; I can't bear to see Jack go from being so happy to being so sad, just can't stand it). Of course, I ended up watching the whole thing and sobbed as if I'd never seen it before when I saw "Deceased" stamped on the postcard.

You know, Jake just doesn't get enough credit for the job that he did in that. Heath will always overshadow him, I think, and it seems so unfair. Heath was brilliant, but it took considerable talent to portray Jack Twist the way he did; bright eyed, optimistic, crabby & complaining, and passionate. All of that. Whereas Ennis was really one dimensional - he was angst ridden constantly. And I'm not demeaning that. But watching it again, I realized the variety of emotions that Jake had to show and he did them all perfectly.

  3. I just love that movie. It is and forever will be my favorite movie, I think. And to think that it has to be so absolutely tragic in order to be as beautiful of a movie as it is. Or was, I guess.

I hate the tragedy of it, just hate it. That last scene is just so impacting. The starch whiteness of that house. The apparent poverty of Mr. & Mrs. Twist, especially you see that in her clothes. And I know, I just know that Mrs. Twist knew. She knew what had happened between Ennis and her son. That's why she sent Ennis up there and wasn't surprised that he came down with those shirts. The look that Ennis & Mrs. Twist share when she gives him that paper bag is just - oh geez, it's sooo filled with emotion. And I know that Mrs. Twist loved her son and she would've accepted Ennis. Don't you just get that feeling? Because Jack was her precious son and nothing could change that. But then you had that old buzzard.

Man. Thanks for indulging me in my reliving of that movie.

And then I have to go & put up with those goonheads out there working on the palletizer machine, carrying on like they're high schoolers. Hard to believe they're men in their 40's and early 50's. Hooting and hollaring, playing on the phone like some idiot is doing right this very minute, and doing bogus pages on the intercom system with low voices that you can't even understand what they're saying. And they're doing it on purpose. Yeah. That's some of the kind of goonheads I work with. It is so embarrassing. Not too long ago, Kevin was out there hollaring "Chieeeeeeeefs!!" over and over until he was driving us all nuts and I called one of his co-workers out there and told him he needed to rein his buddy in; it was totally ridiculous and he was driving me NUTS. And we had silence the rest of the afternoon. But he forgets quickly.

Alright well, looks like I'm talking to myself today. I'm off to leave you alone, lol!

  4. Fascinating way the director had of filming the sex scenes by using still shots.

Directed by Gus Van Sant, an openly gay man.

The man who directed "Milk" and offered 16 years young Jake a role in Brokeback Mountain.

  5. And what has been so stupid about that "Chieeeeeeefs!" holler of his is he started doing that early in the summer when it wasn't even football season yet. The Chiefs weren't even playing. How dumb is that.

does anyone else work with people like this? geez, or are we the only workplace like this, lol.

    ReplyDelete
  6. Oh, thanks, smiley. Gus van Sant - that guy is a genius then. What foresight.

I'm sure we've had an out Spotlight on him, then, and I've forgotten.

    ReplyDelete
  7. As much as I like some of Van Sant's movies, I am very glad he did not make BBM. I just don't think he would have gotten the same emotional impact out of it.

Not loving Austin's hair in these new photos.

  8. A lof of sports nuts at my office, but none of them shout "Giaaants" or "Jeeets". :-D

I went to the Jets/Eagles game last night. Everytime Michael Vick came on the field practically the whole stadium booed--all except what was a surprising number of Eagles fans who'd come up from Philly to see the game.

Austin's hair on top reminds me of curly fries.

  10. Interesting about Michael Vick getting boo'ed. Might be tough for him his first season back, anyway.

I know, Destiny, hey, feel lucky your co workers don't go shouting stuff like that, lol. It's okay once or twice. But I'm serious, he'll do it an entire afternoon, I am not kidding.

  11. I think I'd want to jump out my window after a while PG. I am not normally bothred by noise, but that is too much. How do you get any work done!

Vick may get booed on the road, but I bet he doesn't get booed at home because, well, you know those Eagles fans (ducking under my desk); plus I have to admit he played really well and kind of shook things up. But the Jets still won.

  12. M, Austin does speak wistfully about long distance relationship. Did anyone notice how he watching something else off camera? Would the love for the body language poster to look at this video. Cause Austin is not doing his Texas Hold'em best. He's a big bunch of tells.

Looking at Austin on red carpet, he seems more at ease earlier than he does now. Is it that the parts are bigger or that stakes are, or that he's unsure what they are gond to ask or yell at him when he's on the red carpet?

Not a big fan of the OTH ad campaign, It just seemed like they didnt want to invest much of anything into in it. But notice that Austin did accessorize his look.

PG you are going to get us banned all over Johnson Co. There are huge debates about filter programs, Destiny brought up one of the biggest examples with breast and breast cancer. And unfortunately you probably right Dest that homosexual and gay are probably on the list for the filter at Sears.

  13. I wonder if Babble is on the filter list. It would be a fun experiment to try sites like Ent Lawyer, Awful Truth, GB, IHJ, ONTD etc.

  14. lol, Special! Sorry!

    Hey, I didn't know, tho! ;D

And yes, it is hard to get work done when those "ahem, gentlemen" are out there making all that racket. It drives me nuts. They act like they're outside instead of right under/next to an office.

    It obvious they love Photoshop

  16. Does anyone else wonder if Austin was distracted by Robert.

    ReplyDelete
  17. I kind of thought that in the way that Jake got distracted in Paris over the guy who looked like Austin.

And that is what is interesting. You wonder if it is attraction due to attraction, or an attraction because they do remind them of the other. Do you get what I'm try to saying? (not very well)

  18. Austin is looking really great lately, the promo pic is wonderful. :)

Looking forward to One Tree Hill.

  19. They airbrushed Austin's face so much in the new One Tree picture. I like his little lines they're cute.

  20. What a beautiful song today - it reminds me of a liturgical chant or prayer. :')

Have a great Labor Day weekend,

  21. I am very distressed. I dont know what reese and the kids are doing today. What has this blog become.
    :-)

  22. I am so worried that reese and Fake are growing apart.

  24. Who's footprint is on your shorts Jake? Some other tiny dancer?

  25. Thanks for that clip of Austin from Glory Road. I had not seen that one before. He looks so young there. I just set up OTH to record the series. Getting close now. Austin seems to be really enjoying himself so even if it only lasts one season, it will have been fun.

  27. Have to say Austin looks sickeningly adorable in that OTH promo. Whoever's cuddling up to him in real life, Jake (we still hope so for Jake's sake), Robert B (who could blame him) or Sophia(maybe Austin did kiss and girl and he liked it) is one lucky person.

Wet and sandy what else do you need ... says it all really doesn't it.

  28. Prairie Girl, it's 44 cents! I thot it was .40 too. I'm glad I checked because I was about to mail letters today with .40 on them.. oops!

  30. Jake shopping by himself in Hollywood

He's running away from that come-fuck-me woman. LOL

  31. Seeing Fake alone is heart breaking. He must be missing reese so desperately. I am sure the therapy session this week has helped. We all know he is shopping for her. Hopefully they will be together soon and the booblehead girls can tell us all about it. I hope we get to find out how the kids are doing in school. That first week back can be so tough. How will they endure with both their wonderful mom and stepdad working?

Jake is such a role model for heterosexual men. I now believe there is a cure for being gay. If Fake can do it there is hope for all of us bad homosexuals. :-)
