Happy Halloween

You don't normal think of Donnie Darko as a Halloween movie, but it is with the date of the world ending on Halloween. But do you know who Donnie went as to Halloween party?

Jake has told about his previous costumes for Halloween including a house complete with lighting, and of course the famous tube of toothpaste.

But what about Austin? In a couple of these pictures he looks llke he is channel, Shaggy next to The Mystery Machine and is it Pebbles or is it Braveheart?

So what will it be this year? Will Jake embrace Pittsburgh and do Andy Warhol? Or maybe since he's got the haircut at the moment channel his JFK?

Will Austin do the man in black, Johnny Cash? Or go as spahgetti western with real spaghetti? A wild turkey would be too expected, but about Johnny Walker Red?

Any ideas?

If they are together somewhere in NYC celebrating the high holiday maybe:

Buzz and Woody - yeah right think Disney, well maybe not.

Starsky and Hutch - Austin would be all about the slacks.

Austin as Knightrider and Jake as Mitch from Bay Watch - cause you know Two Hoffs don't make it right.

of maybe they should just go as Cucumber and Tomatoes

Yeah we know, we are always behind Europe. So for those in the US, remember tonight we turn the clocks back an hour.

  1. I just wanted to say that I hope that everyone has a Happy Halloween! I just got out of the
    local hospital Tuesday 10-27 after
having a cold that turned into bacterial pneumonia. I was on oxygen for a couple of days and also had IV's for antiobiotics. I
am feeling a little better each day
so I just wanted to post a little
something. Have they ever officially said that Jake/Reese are
    engaged or that Austin/Sophia are
really dating? What't the use to
worry-they are going to do what they want to or not! Prairie Girl,
I hope that you are okay as are the
rest of OMG. So people be careful
about this weather, wash your hands
thoroughly, and try to stay well!!
I hope everyone has a good rest of
    the weekend.

  2. (((Kacie))). That is scary, and I'm so glad you're out and feeling better.

Happy Halloween to all. I checked out the InStyle while buying candy for tonight. One thing I don't recall being discussed about the article is how it talks about Jake being there in Philly with her, and how he later joined her at the diner where the interview was with food he'd bought elsewhere to take home to her kids. Some people keep saying this was all her doing, but looks to me he was right there with her so the reporter would know what a couple they are.

  3. ROFLMAO. How the Golden Girls turned a whole generation of boys gay.

    Christian Wire

Also sad and scary, because these people believe it.

  4. Reese Witherspoon is bearding for Jake so she could use him to sell her fake (public) image - "Reese has it all, including dating hot famous guy".

InStyle - Jake was there because Reese wanted him to be there for her perfume launch interview and cover. Just like Jake was there for Reese's movie cast dinner - she isn't selling the fauxmance just to tabloid readers.

  5. (((Kacie))) Glad you are out of the hospital and hope you are on your way to feeling a lot better.

But Jake was not around this past week in NYC when Reese was in promoting Bloom and the Avon invent she was hosting. The fact that he made a trip and was photographed in NYC after all the weeks saying he was there with her and not seen and then leave when she arrives, that says something. The abscence is telling. Because if you can fly up for two days, sure bet you could have flown the hour flight in for the Avon, but he didn't did he.

And yes I think he did make sure the paps got him on shopping on Bond St. this weekend without her.

On the Halloween of it all.

The spagehtti western of course would be cowboy with pasta of course.

Austin could also work with his beloved fivehead and be Frankenberry, The Monster from High Anxiety, Butthead, and ok I will say it - the queen of the five head Tyra Banks.

Jake. Hmmm Think he could do a cop really well with the mirror aviators and the well fits dark uniform and hat. The silly in him makes think he would go as the guy from operator and see who could get his funny bone.

Together - well you Ron Burgandy and Brick Tamblin (think Jake could do well as Brick), or go Burger King and Dairy Queen (too much?)

  7. Spesh folks have sure grown tired. Id be really curious to see what happens to Jakes old fans if he breaks up with this witch. I wonder if too much damage has been done.

I do expect some major reeking very shortly.

  9. They are gonna have to up the anti for a reeke op to make any news Destiny. Even str8 folks have no interest in this couple and I bet most str8 folks know it is a joke also. I wonder if Jakey wants to age 20 more yers in the next year and marry the witch.

What do do think passing by? I so much enjoy all your very funny posts. Who r u trying to convince?

I doubt those of us who have hung in there to bail out now because of your poignant posts.

  10. I wonder if Jake would prefer happineess and good health or fame and money. Does anyone think that he has thought that out and made a choice?

Sophia sure does love gay men.

  11. Watched Darko again for the countless time today. This is not just my fav Jake movie to date, but its in the big top 10 movies for me.

The movie and its themes fascinate and everytime I am blown away by Jake's perfomance. Sometimes I mute the sound, to concentrate on expressions and body language. And he just got all those subtle nuissance that you really don't play attention to but if they were not there, the performance wouldn't be either. Having had worked with people with mental health issues, he captures that battle within as he telegraphs it across his face and in his body language.

  12. What a cute picture. Not sure how many trick or treaters to expect tonight. Some years we get almost 100, others maybe 20 tops. We can never predict what will happen.

Steven G has been blogging about directing an episode of Numbers and it finally aired last night. I recorded it but have not yet watched it. One thing that surprised me having watched all his videos about the event is how noisy it is on set. Hammering, measuring, shouting, rehearsals, chatting all going on at once until they start filming for a few minutes. I don't know how they keep their concentration. I guess with TV no moment can be wasted.

  13. "We went, we saw, color us pretty impressed"

The point of the showcase was to highlight the approach and handling of the translation from game to feature film; using experiences of Pirates of the Caribbean they are able to give a swashbuckling feel to Prince of Persia with fluid battles and unpredictable adventure at every corner.

The preview was short but powerful. We caught two runs of the trailer; what stood out was the movies that inspired the game easily transitioned back onto the big screen. Feeling a mash-up of Raiders of the Lost Ark and the Pirates movies, the execution plays right into the expectations of a blockbuster summer movie, pushing effects and over-the-top action sequences in exotic locations in every sequence shown. From what we saw the "rewind" feature functioned well in the movie.

As for why the prince has donned the Warrior Within outfit, it was explained this was a decision made by the art team (it's out of their hands); it's not reflective of the story in that game. In this case, the story will stick close to the original work, but not be a literal adaptation.

Our preview was brief and our impressions are still building, but it should fill the summer blockbuster slot well with creator of the series Jordan Mechner at the helm, who has helped guide the concept since 2004. Notably, he's overseen all of the script rewrites; the latest of which tried (ultimately failing) to include elements from the 2008 game. However, they'd love to do the trilogy.

  14. Very interesting reviews of the PoP trailer and how it is being processed and tweaked.

Happy Halloween to everyone. Glad to hear from you Kacie, and hoping for your speedy recovery.

  16. Cole Hamels is such a mess right now. He has been horrible. No one is sure what is wrong with the guy. Last year he was the NLCS and World Series MVP. Well the Phils sure need to win tonight. It will be tough to come back from 3 to 1 down. The Yanks are good but the Phils are a resilent bunch.

What do you think passing by?
