I had a celebrity sighting this morning--not that I could really tell who they were, lol.
I was walking to work through Central Park, and as I walked by the children's zoo I saw maybe 5 paps with their huge cameras poking over the low fence to the part of the zoo where they have the seals. They were filming a movie, and I just couldn't quite make out the faces from that distance. Do you think the paps helped me. Nooooo. The guy I asked basically said if I couldn't tell who it was too bad. I guess they were near the end, because they shot one quick scene, then everyone on the set started to walk away, in the opposite direction from where I was.
So I kept going, and a few feet down I saw a sign pointing the way to the set for Wall Street 2. So I guess the gray-haired guy in a pale suit I saw was Michael Douglas, and the young guy in a dark suit was Shia. And I guess if they hadn't headed off and I'd had more time to study them I probably would have seen Oliver Stone.
The funny thing is that none of them interest me that much Special. Maybe I'd ask Stone what in the heck he sees in Shia, because I just don't get him, and there's just something about him that bugs me, for no rational reason. Douglas and Stone I'm neutral on.
I'd rather have stumbled on the Matt Damon movie that is also filming around the city. Seems like there are a couple of others too (SACT 2 I think is done). It it's movie crews tripping all over each other in NYC, it must really be fall.
I'd want to talk to Stone just to get a feel for his brand of crazy. Douglas, maybe ask what Catherine's age really is. Shia probably something insane about bacon, since that was a joke from his show as a kid, Even Stevens.
We have the mother of all crazy filming here in the Hub. Yes Tom, Katie and Suri are all in town. Tom is filming a movie with Cameron Diaz. Ben Affleck is shooting with Blake Lively and dressing up as a T driver. And Kevin James is filming a movie at the Franklin Park Zoo. But Tommy wins for the craziest of the bunch.
LOLLL! He is wearing dark socks!! snicker. Must've been that library lighting last night that made me think he had on white socks. That's my excuse, anyway.
I'll have to wait to watch the vid. If I click on it, it's going to take over my media player and I have my music playing right now.
Wow, it's going to be hot in D.C. on Friday. 81 degrees! What in the heck?! Then it looks like it goes back down to what we're having here. 70's and 60's. Chance of showers on Saturday. Just so Sunday is dry!
Boy, the world of Jake & Austin has all of a sudden just dried up like a big ol' prune, hasn't it? lol. I don't even know how you managed to come up with a post today, Special, but you did. I think I would've just put up a "Closed Today" sign and called it a big day of V. Closed Due To Non-Activity & Non-Visibility. Maybe Closed Indefinitely.
Man, I'm irritated. I eat at my desk and I get asked work related questions. I go into the meeting room and a couple of people follow me in there. Now they keep using the meeting room (how dare they?!! LOL)so I can't go in there to write. I come back out here to my desk and my little buddy has to hang around behind me messing around at the microwave forever & a day so I can't go to my Journal page. lol. I think I'm just cranky & a little unreasonable today. Today not the best day for anybody in our office workwise. Oh! She's done! I'm gone.
Dear Ted: I happen to not agree with the current group-think on the ID of Toothy Tile and Grey Goose; not that I think the current guess is not a good possibility, but the clues don't seem to mesh. Since people on the message boards are doing everything possible to force a fit, I came up with this fantasy scenario: You, Ted, are Grey Goose, and you so desperately want T.T. out of the closet that you publish the B.V.'s, get into an argument with your lovah, and then have amazing makeup sex which gets you through till next time. That would probably make Margo Baby Tile. Yes, I know it's a fantasy, but I hope it gives you a chuckle. XXOO ?Jasmolak
Dear Far-Fetched: Chuckle indeed! Hope your career involves fictional writing.
Oh there is plenty about J&A going on. Now worries about not having things for posts. There is still the mystery man and what he's been doing on the weekends. Jake meeting more fans. Mr. Atticus' wild adventure in Pittsburgh. (he was on the set again) And now there is a local club DJ in Pittsburgh who is tweeting for helping getting in touch with Jake.
New Adam Lambert photos on JJ, and 92 comments and counting. I bet 80 of them are about how hot he is and/or how people can't wait for the new record. Happy to see only one or two homophobic comments, to which someone wrote a reply that I just love:
"I really don’t get it when people say “sorry but he is gay” that doesn’t make any sense to me…. you mean I would have a shot with him if he wasn’t gay? Does it make him less attractive if he is gay? No he still looks the same to me… still smokin’ hot and I still want to have his babies!"
Jake's sandal and socks post had only about 25 comments, including several from one of our trolls and the usual mix of not so positive things, not to mention people wondering if the paycheck was late since he didn't mention Reese at all.
I do wonder if the recent photos are due to the fact they are filming around town and not on a closed set, or if PR is hoping to improve his image by showing him at work. I like seeing him at work, but it's going to take a lot more than that to get back the fans.
I think Austin's being awfully quiet. And the new season of OTH starts and Sophin is over. Or at best, absent.
I dunno. Jake's set pictures are kind of boring to me. Now don't shoot me!! But funny how we get tons & tons of great, very natural looking pictures of Austin with his fans for two seasons.
Now we get pictures of Jake with his fans. Only with Jake it kind of backfires; we get a twitter account on how rude he was to one particular fan. And I do mean plain ol' rude and pretty snobby sounding. Granted, he came back after his lunch (after another hour) and signed. If I had been that fan, I sure as heck would not have waited for him to come back. Is that guy nuts or what? If a celebrity had told that line to me I would've been outta there in a flash. All one had to have said was "Sorry, not now." Even just a "Not now." That's it.
That sounded alot to me like Reese's influence. Either Reese's influence or he's been pulling the wool over everybody's eyes all this time.
I hate to be so suspicious of even his fan pictures but I can't help it. And it could be that 2009 is the year of the Twitter and people are snapping left & right so that's why we're all of a sudden getting so many pics.
I can be a hard one to please sometimes, I'll admit it. But I can't get over what he told that fan. That was cold.
PG when you read the account the guy even said Jake was kidding. And he didn't seem phased by it. In fact the guy posted it to imdb and comment he said was Jake was awesome.
Jake's been out enjoying Pittsburgh since filming and being out and heading out to dinner, sports and coffee. Reading all the comments in the paper and blogs and stuff everyone seems to say that he's been awesome and winning over Pittsburghers.
It seems like he doesn't need to photographed doing everything in Pittsburgh which is cool and unlike someone working in Philly. I am hoping that Atti decides he needs his own photo op though. : )
I'm not saying he's out not winning over the city of Pittsburgh, though Special.
I'm just commenting on this one particular encounter. And who knows what Jake may have said that he didn't record down. But I'm sorry. Someone still says something like that to me while walking away? Doesn't come off as kidding to me and I'm done with that celeb. And I've waited on alot of athletes in my day; NFL, MLB, NBA, MISL, you name it. Years of it. I got rebuffed a few times, but mostly they just either held up their hand or said Not now, or something like that. I can't recall ever being addressed like that. But that's just me. Glad that guy doesn't care. I'm just saying I would've been outta there.
You know what's kind of troubling is I've not seen any mentions of the March on cnn.com or USAToday.com. You would think there'd be some mentions of it by now. I wonder if there will be a good turnout?
This morning mentioned Tommy and crew in Boston, funny how got a call from my sister in law today about it. Niece and her class were in the North End (that's Little Italy to PG) on a field trip with the exchange students from Italy, and all this commotion starts, photographers, paps etc, crowding them out, and it was Katie and Suri out for a little trip in the North End. Funny, because Tom really wasn't getting coverage that is keeping with Tom, so much so he showed up to a class at Harvard Law School on Monday, that one of his lawyers was guest lecturing and of course he sat in contributed and stayed after to chat. Yeah Boston has a lot of movies going on but you haven't seen pictures of anybody else in town like Cruise and Co. Never heard of a group of photographers around the streets of Boston. Makes you wonder how you get a group of photographers? Where's that cellphone?
I hear you PG. I don't think Jake was kidding around, otherwise he would have stopped to take a photo on his way out, no way he could expect the fan to still be there when he came back. I know stars must get tired and want to be left alone, but in this case I figure he's working, and it was just one guy, not a whole flock of them. But at the end of the day I'm on the fence on this one. But I agree that the new pictures are just not all that exciting. There's not enough "life" in them.
I would love to see pictures of him with Atti.
Well, Sophia will be on Ferguson tomorrow, so it'll be interesting to see if she gets asked any personal questions. Also she's acting as one of three hostesses for the opening of the L.A. Symphony tomorrow night, so it'll be interesting to see if she brings anyone.
Good morning!! Something about this Adam Ant song. I don't like it but I still find myself singing it in my head and wanting to go into a flapper dance. I didn't like it even back in the 80's but it's still catchy. LOL, if that makes any sense. Like a TV commercial jingle you can't get out of your head, I suppose.
Last day of work. Hey, at least this time, I have the suitcase open, ready to throw things in. LOL, I remember the last two times I've flown east, staying up until forever packing. Hopefully that won't happen tonight.
Yeah, I'd love to see an Atticus & Daddy picture, too. Someone mentioned in one of their tweets how they saw Jake with one of his dogs. They must not know that Boo is gone. Aw. Poor Boo. I miss Boo.
But what those people don't know: "Coca Cola has consistently scored higher on the Human Rights Campaign’s list of LGBT friendly businesses" than Pepsi.
Does that leave them to drink only tepid water then?
I love the "different" shoes Jake wears - shows his individuality. Thanks for today's song - one of my all-time favorites ever, I have always loved the lyrics and the rockabilly beat. :)

Cute OTH teaser. At least he has an excuse to avert his eyes. Austin looks terrific.
