Lie Detector

Everyone has a least one person to call them on their sh... A person you can never pull one over on. They can take one look at you and know you're lying through your teeth. It's not always about the big stuff but also the little stuff too, like saying you're doing good when things are lousy or dinner is great, when it isn't.

Jake's got that with Maggie.

“If you have a real relationship with someone in real life they will call you out on it if you are being fake,” “I have worked with my sister in movies before and I can’t pull anything with her." “She knows when I’m faking and when I’m not. She has caught me out before — in real life too. That is all my sister does! That is her primary job in my life.”

I don't think Maggie is the only person who is that for Jake, but it's good know that she is one of them.

While there will always be a thread of competition and sibling rivalry between them, you also know that they are both there for each other in what matters most.

  2. It's great that Jake has such a wonderful relationship with his sister. Sweet pictures.

Love some of the items copied on the prior post. I am at work and did not copy them to repaste but they include Ted's poking of Austin/Sophia (oh what a tangled web we weave), Jake's tiled teeth, true demographic and carpal tunnel.

What would we ever do without Ted.

    ^^ nothing, Absolutely nothing!
Same for Ted. And Ted knows this.

  4. Like Ted cares whether people at OMG have anything to talk about.

  5. Maggie did a great interview with Jimmy Fallon last night. She was talking about filming Crazy Heart and how Peter came out to help set her up for the shoot in Arizona, and how she had come back late after spending time hanging out with Jeff Bridges and smelling of tequila. Peter told he understood what kind of shoot this was going to be and that she didn't have to call them every night. Just an interesting look at how it all works for family and filming.

Big Papi David Ortiz (from the Red Sox) was on Fallon too. Fingers cross Maggie was a great big sis and asked him to sign something for her Red Sox loving brother.

  6. Sadly I doubt it works that way for a family when someone is in the closet and possibly hiding their child.

  7. Sure that Austin is not thrilled with Danneel's twitter dragging him more into Ted's spotlight than he already was.

I cracked up over Jake's demographics, tile teeth and non work/sports related carpal tunnel.

    oh yes he cares...a lot.

  9. Well it seems from the conversatoin like Peter was responsible for Ramona back in NY while she was shooting Crazy Heart, and he took care of things giving her the chance to do what she needed to do for the shoot and explore what she need to do for the role.

  11. I don't know where I read it, but for a while, Rufus Wainwright's sister was the nanny for Peter and Maggie.

Oh other trivia - I forgot to put on the post yesterday. In The Heat of the Night one Five Oscars, including Best Editing. Any guesses who that was?

  12. I misunderstood you Special, I thought Peter was in Arizona with them. I think they have all been together in London when first Peter and then Maggie had to film over there.

Why don't you enlighten us Trust; I fail to understand why Ted would care about OMG and presumably WFT2.

Hope he shampooed before he was being there bound for glory, then coming home after the last detail of the Oscars.

  15. The Hollywood Reporter tonight broke the word that actor Peter Sarsgaard has been cast in Warner Brothers Films' adaptation of DC Comics' "Green Lantern" landing the role of Hector Hammond, the movie's first major villain who is best known to comic fans for his colossal cranium.

  16. Cool news about Peter. He's such a great actor, he really deserves something that will bring him more attention.

Love the song today, one of my favorite Radiohead songs.

  17. Thoughts and prayers going out to those in Haiti after the 7.0 earthquake.

Friend of my dad's called home, he's in Port-au-Prince. Safe but all he had left was his phone, his id, and bottle of water, hotel gone, hospital gone, building and homes completely destroyed. Devastation everywhere. It is really bad.

  18. Haiti sure has more than its share of problems. I'm glad you dad's friend is okay Special. A friend's husband has family there, but I haven't heard anything about them.

  19. So, did Ted out Austin today. I think this was the most definitive he's ever been about Austin not being into women. I have not had the patience to read AT comments post Twilight, but they seemed to stay on topic this time. Mentions of Jake/Austin, Toothy/Grey Goose as expected.

I swear, I think Ted has been personally reading OMG and WFT the last 2 weeks straight. He has been right on topic.

  20. On the latest post on ONTD about Matthew Bomer in the comments someone claims they ran into him and his "husband and children" at Runyon Canyon when one of their kids ran up to his dog.

  21. ONTD comments:

i saw him and his husband and kids at runyon canyon last weekend!

awww how many kids does he have?

    i heard they have 3 kids. :)

It was so funny, one of his younger kids came flying at me and my dog (I guess he wanted to pet her, idk) and so Matt just came running up behind him to catch him in time. I wasn't even paying attention and so I looked up and BAM this dude was right in my face with his arms around his kid and I was like WHOA.

DAMN. I would have fainted if he was in my face, lol. Such a cute story, though. What kind of dog do you have?

a puggle, hahaha. she's so harmless that i would've been fine w/ his kid petting her or w/e.

His kid came flying at my dog, I guess he wanted to pet her hahaha it was adorable though. I wasn't even looking up at the time and next thing I know I look up and see Matt Bomer racing toward his kid to stop him from playing with my dog lulz I was like ~its fine~ bb I have a puggle for crying out loud she's harmless.

Aww, that's so fucking cute!! How old were the kids?

gosh there were 3 or 4 and it happened so quickly as i was going downward and they were going up the hill...they all looked to vary in ages 5-10 i'd say? all pretty young looking, idk.

  22. Vera Farmiga and Michelle Monaghan Crack Source CodeJanuary 13, 2010 at 4:44 AM

Up in the Air's Vera Farmiga and Due Date's Michelle Monaghan have signed on to star opposite Jake Gyllenhaal in the time-travel thriller Source Code from Moon director Duncan Jones, according to Heat Vision.

The Summit Entertainment film centers on a soldier (Gyllenhaal) who, as part of an experimental government program to investigate a terrorist incident, finds himself in the body of an unknown commuter living and reliving a harrowing train bombing until he can find out who is responsible for it.

Farmiga will play a hands-on communications officer controlling Gyllenhaal as he travels through time and space. Monaghan is a woman on the train with whom the man is involved romantically.

Production on Source Code will begin in March.

  24. Dear Ted:
In a blind item last October, you told us that Toothy was fed up with his beard and was complaining to his PR team that the bearding angle they chose for him wasn't working. Also, he was tired of hiding his relationship with Grey Goose. Do you think that now he will choose a different strategy for his image? A glass closet, perhaps?
    —Portia

    Dear Pins and Needles:
Doll, I'm just as anxious to see Toothy's next move as you are. But after this out-me fagola dance that's been going on for years, I don't have my hopes up for a glass closet.

    Dear Ted:
What the ef? Why is everybody and their dog getting engaged in Hollywood now? Not a day goes by without some supposedly happy couple stepping out and presenting us some stupid ring. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure some of those pairings are real, but the majority just screams publicity stunt and fauxmance to me. Since I'm still deciding whether to be annoyed or just laugh at all those who fake it in order to get some publicity, please tell me that this current engagement wave will not last forever. It is getting ridiculous now.
    –Nic

    Dear Time Will Tell:
Hate to break it to ya, but I don't see this "put a ring on it for convenient reasons" trend going anywhere anytime soon. Not until all of these gay-rights issues get resolved. Remember, as far as we may have come, no one wants to see their big macho hunks for the queens a lot of them really are. Hence, the beards. And the beards get good publicity out of the sitch, too.
