The comings???????
Look likes Jake's going to do Broadway and handle some balls one way or another.
It might be the Jets that beat Damn Yankees to get Jakey first on film. It is being reporting that James Mangold director of Walk the Line might be directing Jake in the Joe Namath biopic. OMG first guessed way back in August 2007 and then the guess looked like a good one in November 2007.
Mangold currently has nothing on his shooting schedule and once Source Code wraps at the end of the month, Jake just has promotions for PoP and Love and Other Drugs on his. Universal wants to make sure that David Hollander's script is ready to go before it moves into production but the fact Mangold has come on board the project could be the sign that it might go into production sooner rather than later.
Damn Jake, being a Red Sox and Patriots fan, you can really pick 'em, can't you. The Yankees and the Jets.
And Jake can hold is own now if they go for another Battle Bowl Jake vs. Joe Action figures now that Jake has the cool weaponry and the parkour edge. And the legs for those pantyhose? You decide.
And the goings?????????
Yesterday there was a mention of Sophia being cast for a pilot with Don Johnson and Mary Steenbergen (one of Jake's old Vineyard neighbors) for ABC. So what's the deal with OTH then? Well.... there's a little difference of opinions. But here's what's known for sure. No decision has been made yet, but will be soon. That the odds for the show are pretty much 50/50. And that if OTH is renewed her deal with ABC is a no go.
Now the rest of the story.
Zap2it is saying that OTH is competing against Life Unexpected for renewal. According to Zap2it readers, TV viewers do want OTH back, but not at the expense of canceling LUX.
Over on E with Kristin says it may no longer be true that they are competing against each other. One of her sources is saying it's looking likely at this point that OTH and LUX would each 13 episodes.
How many time jumps could OTH could in 13 episode? Jamie's college graduation and marry Lucas & Peyton's daughter to set up OTH: The Next Generation? Julian a big time producer winning an Oscar and geting a new younger version of Brooke Davis(TM)? Brooke Davis (TM) and Victoria doing their own version Grey Gardens?
Another one of her insider calls OTH's chances "better than 50/50." Nothing's set in stone and The CW has until May 19 to announce its fall lineup to advertisers.
It's a wait and see.
What do you think Austin is hoping for? Coming or Going?
PG has not turned into a guardian pitbull. Not to mention that if she feels like defending people who are personally being attacked, that is her right.
ReplyDeleteFrankly I am tired (and I am sure PG and Tom are too) of being personally singled out, lately on a daily basis, and being told in essence to quit it because we are somehow ruining OMG.
Other than with clealy obvious trolls, I never tell people to go elsewhere or stop talking about anything. I may disagree, at times strongly, with somone's opionion, but I never ever say, stop saying what you are saying.
I never tell people to stop gushing over Jake or Austin, or that they shouldn't get all fangirly.
If you can't see the difference, well, then I don't know what else to say. I just don't see why people are so threatened by what others are saying that they have to continually berate us and call us bulldogs, etc.
I do have one suggestion--and it is just that, a suggestion, not a demand. If you can't handle a disagreement or spirited argument, or don't like negative posts, you might want to consider scrolling on by if you see something you don't like, and respond to something else, or start a new conversation.
New pictures from the set of Source Code
ReplyDeletePlease don't repost yet
April 13, 2010
ReplyDeleteJake Gyllenhaal is bruised and bloodied on the set of his new movie Source Code. The actor is seen on a break between takes during a busy day of filming in Montreal.
Jake Gyllenhaal is bloody good
One thing I also meant to say. I am here rain or shine, good times or bad times. I've joined in discussions about funny posts, rings, Baby Tile, hot pictures, good acting, etc. Same for a couple of other posters, including PG and M--by the way I can't believe someone is now attacking M!
ReplyDeleteAbout the only ones you haven't attacked are Special and Stubborn. I think it'd be pretty lonely around here if it was just the three or four of you.
Jake Gyllenhaal is Huge – May GQ Spread
ReplyDeleteFirst, that is GQ’s title not mine, but if there is a Santa Clause then it will be a fact and not just a pun. Perhaps I am indeed barking up the wrong tree, but every gay man slums with a chick at least once just to see what all the hype is. Kinda like in “The Birdcage” which results in Robin Williams flamboyantly gay character having a round with a fierce ho who gets knocked up. I could be that fierce ho.
Moving on…Jake Gyllenhaal is looking like the quite nerd next door that you discover has the body of a god when you catch him mowing his lawn shirtless, which you then find yourself offering him lemonade and ask him to plow you…uh…your yard….you mean mow your yard. What was my point? Yes, Jake is on the cover of GQ pimping “Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time.” The cover shot is awkward looking and more like a senior portrait in year book, but this man could pose parka and I’d I still get that old fashioned romantic feeling where I’d do anything to nail him.
Destiny, you have called me a troll and a homophobe quite a few months ago. I don't single anyone out, it's just obvious.
ReplyDeleteI never said to stop saying what you are saying, but when you post 5 times in a row with just negative bullshit what is the point of me posting a nice comment? It either gets over looked or someone says 'how can you say that when 'we' went through all the bearding blah blah blah?' This in essence is questioning why we get 'fan girly' as you like to put it.
I would love to come here more often. Maybe I will.
OTH I think needs to go. I watched a few episodes before Austin joined and stopped. Only watched it once with Austin. Sophia's voice annoys me and I cannot stand any of the story lines. With them now jumping decades I can't keep up. I do not think it will be renewed, I'll be very surprised if it does.
I'll come back in the next few days to see what's up but I probably won't stop here to chat. Gotta keep moving!
Oh I scroll, I scroll long and hard lol I scroll past most of the blue names.
ReplyDeleteOnly reason why I am responding to blue names is because I started it all yesterday lol. I go back to what I was doing.
I've tried changing the topics before. But no can do when someone is pissy.
I think I might actually buy that Gq mag. Also will need to pre order my PoP tickets lol.
My birthday is coming up (after Austin's of course) I wonder if I should ask for lego men? Lol!
Off to co-op!
Moving on…Jake Gyllenhaal is looking like the quite nerd next door that you discover has the body of a god when you catch him mowing his lawn shirtless, which you then find yourself offering him lemonade and ask him to plow you…uh…your yard….you mean mow your yard.
ReplyDeleteWhat a description! LOL Love it.
Also, I think it's good advice for all to scroll on by or count to ten before firing off a scathing post in response to something. A great example is Prairiegirl going over to WFT2 and spouting off insults - we really should be objective about the way some behave around here. Tom's posts have been reasonable.
ReplyDeleteWDW - GQ scans
ReplyDeleteLOL, WDW is a better fan than IHJ.
ReplyDeleteWhat's that supposed to mean 2:41? Someone obviously sent Kate the scans for her use. Which happens to be the same way IHJ usually gets their scans. No need to be a snarky slag about it.
ReplyDeleteIHJ is slacking.
ReplyDeleteTook a break to read the article, much thanks to WDW for the scans.
ReplyDeleteGlad I got to read the whole article. It is a very different tone as the whole interview from what the excerpts and the reactions to those excerpts lead to believe.
This clearly a mature interview with Jake.
Jake talks a lot about family and relationships. It is this, that is so very very real to him as it moves him to tears. Don't think its all from his parents divorce or his memories, but that he has his own family too. Men tend to change after having children. Being a father can make profound changes to men's sensibilities and priorities.
He talks about his mistakes he made on some of his movies and his regrets for what he did that comes with hindsight and maturity. And how his vision of work/acting has changed. It is not everything. It sounds like work is work, but what he has at home is the real thing.
He really shares some wonderful memories of Heath, and it very respectful of him and what they did in making Brokeback. It is clearly still difficult talk about the loss. And the experience they share when it came out was something only each other could understand, and now Jake has no one who really understands after losing Heath. I can see how that would make it even tougher on him.
The quote about singleness, reading the full quote you can see Jake seems to want to say that he fine without being coupled up in front of the world. But pressed further you can sense he's uncomfortable about the whole the line of questioning, which was about following up the quote from the last time he was interviewed by GQ about finding the right woman.
And asked if it is the most important thing. You can sense that this isn't something he felt was the most important thing, and that was not his feelings. "Who am I to say what the most important thing in life is? The best answer I could give to any of those things is that I really don't know. Particularly right now in my life."
Both Jake and Austin wear things chains and rings like talismans and thought this was a really interesting quote.
"Between courses at the Ravagh Persian Grill in Manhattan(his choice), he pulls out from under his t-shirt the two chains that hang around his neck. Each has a ring at its end - one is a black diamond, the other a pendant of Saint Genesius, patron saint of actors - and he starts rolling them between his fingers. But he almost seems alarmed when I ask about them, as though he hasn't been aware of what he was doing."
Wonder if it was unconscious, like his need to connect to what those things represent at that moment. Or maybe its also one of those breadcrumbs that Jake tends to give.
Jake ain't giving no one bread crumbs, he ie wearing that ring he bought himself 5 years ago around his neck now and some actors pendant, supersticious.
ReplyDeleteThe follow up quote about finding the right woman: In the 2007 interview when he made it, he was talking partially about his father and was greatful that his father made the right choice in picking his mother.
The interviewer IMO is asking this agin in light of his parents divorce and his split ( I assume the latter was off-limits).Him being ok with being single now, maybe the events mentioned made him a bit jaded, therefore he doesn't think it's the most important thing than he says who is he to determine what is most imoportant.
I follow the hits over here and tI see accusations against IHJ! IHJ slacking? Really? What are you doing, 3:02?
ReplyDeleteIHJ and I are a TEAM - remember that word - it means 'friendship' 'co-operation', 'politeness'. Do you need a link to an online dictionary?
For anyone's information... I bought this magazine from eBay. I scanned it myself and IHJ has very generously agreed - as my friend - to post them later tonight. Our usual agreement.
So, instead of discussing this amazing interview, you choose to upset IHJ - and you really have. What kind of an angle is that?
Thanks to Special K for focusing on what matters - the words.
I doubt that IHJ is upset about anything posted on here.
ReplyDeleteI appreciate all the hard work that Kate and Steph (Jake) and Spooky, Vespy, Hjulia (Austin), put into their sites. It takes a tremendous amount time, investment, and dedication to bring what is created on all their sites. I hope that all realize what a valuable resource and partner they are to me.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your interpretation of the GQ article Special. I'll look forward to picking up a copy myself and then sitting down and digesting it slowly to see how my take on it differs from the rest. Have to admit I tend to stick to the rose-coloured specs... helps with my blood pressure! LOL
ReplyDeleteFor ages I talked about the first photo of Jake that I'd seen when doing a google search back at the end of 2005, finally came across it again after all these years so decided to insert it into my blogger. Younger days for Jake and for the rest of us too. Something infectious about that young man's smile.
Time to give JerseyTom a call and catch up.
Sunny greetings for everyone.
Jake called that black diamond, an engagement ring to himself, but that ring came around the time Austin got his blue ring. Many of us believed that both rings were connected to each other and their relationship. I still believe that so, and it could have been a symbol of a promise/commitment/engagement and that Jake wants that close to his heart.
ReplyDeleteJake started wearing that black diamond pinky ring the summer of 2005 I think. I remember seeing it wit a bunch of other rings on his pinky during BBM/Proof/Jarhead promos.
ReplyDeleteDon't know when Austin got his ring but I thought it was around Dec. 2005, are there pics of him wearing it beofre then?
I don't get the connection? One is a tack pinky ring and the other is a fugly blue turqiuse ring that looks looks like someone's uncle Bubba would wear to impress.
Very nice, Spesh. :)
ReplyDeleteIt's not turquoise it's more likely larimar a rare blue variety of pectolite for a couple of reason. The intensity of the blue stone has lightened over the years if you look at pictures when Austin wears it, which is what happens when larimar has prolonged exposure to sunlight. And larimar is only found in the Dominican Republic where Jake stayed in a very private resort in 2005.
ReplyDeleteOMFG have a sense of humor. Can't take any harmless teasing, can you, about WDW, across the pond, getting the scans before everybody. Everything has to soooooooo fucking serious? JFC. No wonder I don't use a regular name here; everyone has a fucking chip on their shoulder.
ReplyDeleteLook likes Jake's going to do Broadway and handle some balls one way or another.
ReplyDeleteLOL
Well 3:02, it is not easy to be a lunatic 24/7, cut them some slack.

Clarifying (again!). Sigh. Twisting words again.
ReplyDeleteNobody called "us" bulldogs. The person compared PG's attitude to that of a pitbull, where once she was so nice.
Noone is singling out Tom, PrairieGirl, and Destiny. (the implication you were going for is that you are being singled out for other reasons, right?) Well Wrong. Most everyone on here is at least civil. Tom's comments have been very reasonable. Only Destiny and PrairieGirl are being singled out, for being rude. While it may be your right to "defend" each other, it's contrary to the OMG mission statement, hurling insults. It just makes for an antagonistic environment. As someone else posted, if you rattle cages, expect to be bitten, or go toe-to-toe with someone.
BTW, I didn't make the comment by the other nice above.
Seven years ago, while at the top of her game, Jennifer Knapp announced what seemed to many a sudden decision: She was stepping away from Christian music, taking an indefinite hiatus. Rumors began to swirl—she was burned out, she needed a rest, she was upset about something, she was gay. Turns out that all the rumors were true, as Knapp reveals in this rambling, exclusive interview with Christianity Today. The one-time Grammy nominee ended her hiatus in late 2009 with a few small shows, an updated website, and an announcement that she was writing new songs. Many of those songs will be featured on Letting Go, releasing May 11, her first album since 2001's The Way I Am.
ReplyDeleteIn one of her first extensive interviews since announcing her comeback, Knapp, 36, talks to CT about why she quit music in the first place, her lifestyle choice, her rekindled passion for songwriting, her faith, her new album, and more.

Ricky Martin Intro Backdrop
Loved Jake's first memory of drawing the letter E and rebelling when it comes to the middle line in the E. He filled the space between the top and bottom of the E with many many lines.
ReplyDeleteThe scene in Hope and Glory is a great one but my favorite from that movie is when the school gets bombed and the kids thank the Germans throwing their gas mask boxes around and knocking the teacher in the head as they celebrate that they don't have to go to school anymore.
^^ :)
ReplyDeleteThat was cute.
Thanks for Jennifer Knapp article in Christianity Today. Great article and it helps to build bridge to many in the Evangelical community. CT did a great job and they know that it will reach many people who might have not read a coming out story, they presented Jennifer and her story with grace and respect.
ReplyDeleteDear Ted:
ReplyDeleteA lot of sources are saying that Jake Gyllenhaal and Isabel Lucas are hooking up? Is this just another brief fauxmance?

Dear Show and Tell:
Let's see if she's on the tip sheet for the Prince of Persia premiere in a few weeks. If she is, I'm going to be very disappointed in Jake.

So will a lot of other people Ted.
Someone who would travel from Kansas to Boston to go to a movie with a friend who wants to share the experience with someone is a pretty special person. I know PG has her doubts whether or not she wants to see PoP but she is going to Boston because she loves SK. That is a good person and the kind of friend anyone would be so lucky to have.
How can anyone not expect negativity from some of us that have been long term members of the blog at this point in time. OMG is not WDW or IHJ it is a site that is based on the belief that Jake is Gay and has a male partner and most likely a son. Many of believe that is a beautiful thing and are angry that Jake wont share it with us. We have waited a long time and he seems so determined to hide who he really is. No we dont know him and we have have no def proof but in our hearts we believe it. We think it it is wonderful. Why cant he?
Well, if someone attacked me earlier today, I missed the whole thing as I was too busy at work today to show up until now. Plus it seemed that every application I have wanted to do an update then a shut down restart. I do think that picking out specific people to gripe about is the PR hacks attempt to drive off members of the site. They won't give up the effort until after POP opens. After that, there will be a big reduction in the budget allocated to the effort and things will quiet down a bit.
ReplyDeleteI've just printed out the GQ article but have not read it yet. Looking forward to it and will comment after I've read it a few times.
OMG is in danger of losing its soul. Special seems to be more interested in protecting trolls and virtually anonymous posters than protecting friends and long-time regulars. It's gotten so bad that even WWD and IHJ have been pulled into it and are complaining about the attacks that are going on here.
ReplyDeleteBe careful what you wish for. If you continue to let them run people off because you don't like the opinions they express, pretty soon all you are going to be left with are the trolls and a couple of pollyanna parrots. And when those are the only ones left, people are likely to stop posting all-together.
Many of believe that is a beautiful thing and are angry that Jake wont share it with us. We have waited a long time and he seems so determined to hide who he really is. No we dont know him and we have have no def proof but in our hearts we believe it. We think it it is wonderful. Why cant he?
ReplyDelete^^ If you choose to get involved with a celebrity's fansite, blog, or follow there life almost as close as your own, at some point one has to come to reality that no matter how much you care for, like, want the best for, support the celebrity, their life is still, their life, and you really have Nothing to do with it.
Also, Rumors are just that, rumors, until proven or the person comes out. It does not matter if you or I truly feel in our hearts that Jake is gay, with Austin, and has a child.
All I can say is if you or I am gonna follow this person that we want the best for, we have to be patient, or move on to something or someone else.
That's the Reality.
It's gotten so bad that even WWD and IHJ have been pulled into it and are complaining about the attacks that are going on here.
ReplyDeletewhat's gotten bad is that some regular posters who feel that they have a pass to say whatever they want, and to anybody, seem to only post negative comments about Jake constantly on Jake fan site.
I do think that picking out specific people to gripe about is the PR hacks attempt to drive off members of the site.
ReplyDeleteM, you are relentless with this PR conspiracy aren't you? Everything is not about PR. Trolls are PR, Jake talking to a woman is PR, Jake talking to his mom is PR, Jake hanging with a buddy is PR. In the larger world, these sites are very small compared to the people who don't give a rats ass about Jake's sexuality. Or know who he is or what's he's been doing with his life. Believe me, not many care. Even though he has been on the infamous gay list in the tabloids of many occasions.
Jake's Public Relations is all around to Stop Us..... Don't Agree
This comment has been removed by a blog administrator.
ReplyDeleteJake looks so good with green skin, it's Namath green. How clever of them to promote his new movie and his next project at once. I don't know why anyone would say they don't like that GQ cover
ReplyDeleteAnd I don't care if he looks like a grandpa in that beige suit, grandpas are hot and sexy. People should stop attacking old men, it's not nice.
And if Jake doesn't get an Oscar nod for playing the Prince, well, then they don't know talent when they see it.
And sigh, don't you love a man that says finding the right woman is the most important thing in life. I hope Jake finds the woman of his dreams, so we can all start talking about his wedding, and what he'll wear, and what the lucky girl will wear. Dreamy.
Special seems to be more interested in protecting trolls and virtually anonymous posters than protecting friends and long-time regulars.
ReplyDeleteGive me a break. Everyone here is virtually anonymous. Do you think if I sent a letter to:
Mrs Prairiegirl
C/- The Internet
that she would get the letter?? lol
Unless you are posting under your real first and last name, then you are esentially anonymous.
The people who post under blogger id's are hardly outing themselves when you can create a sock puppet blogger account and id in 2 minutes.
I do think that picking out specific people to gripe about is the PR hacks attempt to drive off members of the site. They won't give up the effort until after POP opens. After that, there will be a big reduction in the budget allocated to the effort and things will quiet down a bit.
ReplyDeleteWe have already spent our budget of $3.51 to drive members off this site. Now we are just sitting back and watching the trollys do it for free.
Gee, if I could stay up for another two hours, I could meet up with one of my faithful, obssessed followers, LOL. Darnit!!!
ReplyDeleteHey, look out! Look who's here! It's the pit bull.
Grrrrrrrrr.
Here I am sweetie. Never far away...
ReplyDeleteThis is a 12-round fight, PR. And you don't know who in the hell you're dealing with.
ReplyDeleteYou think some of us are going to whimper away, tales tucked behind our hindquarters so you can continue to sprinkle the Isabel dust throughout the land? You better just think twice.
I have had tremendous support tonight. I'm not going to name names or anything but it has meant the world to me and that is why I am on here at a rather, ahem, later hour.
There are others out there who stand behind what some of us see. I draw strength from that tonight and am here to say to a chosen few if you think you've intimidated PG (uh, yeah, I myself can call myself that) out of the ballpark, well, you've only given me time to juice up the ball and apply a little pine tar to the bat.
I agree with What?, I think it is a bit of a stretch to think PR spends any time attempting to drive people off this site. It has what, 4 regulars and a bunch of trolls? And you think PR would care? Please stop the nonsense it is not like the whole world is a PR conspiracy and you only know the truth.
ReplyDeletePG. check yourself in, pronto. This is beyond ridiculous! LOL!

uumm, I think "PR" was being sarcastic. The $3.51 budget is a major clue!
I'm still in Jake's corner. Still like the guy. No, I'm not happy about the GQ interview but I'm not giving up. I'm not totally splat on the guy. He's kind of like the son I never had. I'm frowning & I'm tapping my foot at him but I'm not kicking him out of the house either, lol.
ReplyDeleteAnd Junior and his handlers need to know that there are some of us who aren't fooled. We're not stupid and we're not Stepford Wives.
Here's 3 mess-ups, Junior, that you didn't Aisle 13 cleanup very well:
1) "I remember very recently speaking to Michelle (Williams)."
Hmmm. Let's see, usually it's I remember....I remember long ago....I remember back when...I remember awhile back....
And then there's I remember very recently. lol. SNICKER!
Okay, buddy. Whatever you say.
2) And then there was the for every male giraffe, there is a female giraffe.... No, no, no, no!!!!!!
LOL. What was it again? Oh yeah. For every man, there is a right wo-man, and for every wo-man, there is a right man. Or there's a search on or there's something to that effect.
That line has been beaten to a pulp. Enough said. Let's just say, we see it for what it is.
And 3) Ahhhh, the infamous Necklace Mystery. All I can say is Thank Heavens to Mergatroid Junior has solved that one for his ol' mama. I always wondered. I for one am just thankful my Junior did not get that chain caught in some of that gorgeous chest hair of his while digging it out of his shirt. Get it? Out? LOLLL! Oh, I can get in a zinger now and then.
Hon, I'm still trying to figure out how on earth you managed to play with it while it was inside the shirt? Or did you do the chain caress thing and slooooooowwwly slide it out? Or were you playing with it again (smack that hand!) through your shirt and then worked it out gradually and unthinkingly, unaware of what you were doing? You always have been prone to doing that kind of thing. (shakes head, a la Jessica Feltcher)
Son, do you think some of us were born yesterday???!! You forget a few of us have been around the block a few times and you know what they say. You can fool Mama some of the time, but (all together now, let's hear it!) YOU CAN'T FOOL MAMA ALL OF THE TIME.
LOLLLL!!
Ah, that was fun. Kinda like ol' Reeke times. Makes me a little *sniff* misty-eyed. dabs eye.
ReplyDeleteSee y'all later. Kissy kissy, lol. Love ya.
Oh, and one last observation.
ReplyDelete01:08
01:12
And some people think PR doesn't just sit on their computers waiting. You will never, and I mean never, convince me that they don't. There's proof in the pudding.
Do you think if I sent a letter to: Mrs Prairiegirl C/- The Internet
ReplyDeletethat she would get the letter??
You have to send it with a box of Cheese-its to
Ms. prairiegirl
Internet, Kansas
and then she'll get it.
And some people think PR doesn't just sit on their computers waiting. You will never, and I mean never, convince me that they don't.
ReplyDeleteOf course PR is here 24/7/365. The $3.51 budget stretches reaeaalllyy far.
Cool!! **claps hands!**
ReplyDeleteHey, I think it's awesome. We're glad to have you. Because I was actually rather sad when you all disappeared, you know, as soon as Reeke ended? When you all were scurrying around trying to patch up that humongous blown tire? And some of us understood. When duty calls, you know.....fun things like blogging have to take a backseat.
And I anticipate having all of you new playmates until at least, oh....I dunno....little past PoP time?? Do we have at least that much time together? Gosh I hope so.
Can I go ahead & ask if you watch Modern Family? I need someone on here who watches that so we can go over every episode.
LOLLLL! Did anyone see that last night? I saw the 7 o'clock episode; had never seen that one. When Mitchell is badmouthing his boss at the intersection and oh man...LOLLL! That Mitchell cracks me up. Then Cameron gets all turned on by Mitchell's spunkiness. Until they both realize that he quit his job and then they both have a panic attack. LOL!
ReplyDeleteAnd Jay...killing the little boy's turtle. Ed O'Neill just kills me. That show is awesome.
I think I might go out and purchase one of those metal detectors. Does anyone know where you get one of those things? And I'm going to print off a post of Spooky's and hold it up to the metal detector so it can acquaint itself with his aura.
Maybe use it to try & sniff out Austin, what do you think?
Or maybe I should hire out my precious Curley and see if ol' Curl can sniff him out.
What's it going to take?
I've got to go. It's going to be a great day today and time to get started on it.
