So, for me, Ted is saying that Toothy's private life is not the problem because he's figure out what works for him a long time ago. In other words, what makes him happy. Remember the "comfortable" word Ted used in one of his last posts about Toothy? It's the public life Jake's still trying to work out. Just as we have suspected for sometime now, Jake is not a happy man when it comes to figuring out how he wants to present himself to the world. The positive part, is that Ted believes Jake will figure it all out, eventually. Not today, not tomorrow but in the future. I've always said with LaOD coming out in November there's no way Jake's going to be experimenting with his public image now. And, Austin has to finish his OTH bearding "commitments". But, afterwards, who knows what the future will bring in terms of a public makeover? Jake can't keep going the way he has been and I think he knows it.
I checked the Sophia nad Austin threads on OTH and I didn't see any mention of when his Mother was there and when the pic was taken , just speculation that she was/is there with his Dad.

You're not crazy.
Blogger has rolled out a new spam filter for some of it's blogs and it can tag some comments and throw them in pending file for the admin to go through approve as not spam. (yup one more thing for blog admins to do ) I am sure they will be tweeking the filters as they go along.
So if you post something and it happens know that I will be going through the pending file a couple off times a day. We'll see how this goes until Blogger gets all the kinks out. And if we still have problems, will contact Blogger.
Why would Jake be back in LA two different times in the last few weeks?
ReplyDeleteHe is one of the names in the running for the movie Safe House. Maybe he is back to audition or to convince the producers he's the guy instead of front runner Reynolds.
Ryan Reynolds has emerged as front runner in a pack of top young actors vying to star alongside Denzel Washington in Safe House, the David Guggenheim-scripted Universal Pictures drama that will be directed by Daniel Espinosa (Snabba Cash). Up for grabs is a great role of a young CIA agent who must transport a dangerous criminal to safety after both are attacked at a safe house.
Washington signed on weeks ago to play the criminal, and I've heard Reynolds, Shia LaBeouf, Taylor Kitsch, Washington's Unstoppable co-star Chris Pine, Sam Worthington, Garrett Hedlund, Zac Efron, Channing Tatum, Chris Hemsworth and Jake Gyllenhaal are all in contention. No offer has been made, but it will happen soon as the studio, Washington, Espinosa and producer Scott Stuber make a decision shortly. Production begins early next year, with Argentina and South Africa among the places being scouted

ReplyDeleteDestiny, I can't find hardly anything about these Breakthrough Awards. I don't think they're televised at all - sounds like they might be very small. But every search I've tried ends up in about the same three blog locations. But wherever they are, they're on Aug 15, lol.

And holy mother of Follicle, Jake could not look any better. I think I hear a huge collective exhale on one of those last scenes where Jake's sleeping and Anne leans over him with an arm around his chest.
Those smouldering eyes in this movie look just like the ones in that tennis video in the too-small blue shorts. He channeled that look very well, didn't he?
Man, if one can't see hot Jake in this trailer, then one has to wonder when one was ever into the guy.
His character looks smooth. Sleazy. Sexy. Irritating. Vulnerable in love. Snarky. That's a really dangerous combination.
Two awesome songs in the trailer. "Beautiful Girl" being one of them. Trying not to read too much into one short trailer but I trust my instincts because Sorcerer's Apprentice's trailer sure didn't lie to me, lol.

ReplyDeleteLAOD looks promising but we've been burned before so I am keeping my hopes in check. Agree that Anne looks really nice with that hair style. Very flattering to her features. A couple of weeks back some pictures of Woody from Toy Story 3 were posted with a comment that he looks like Jake, or that Jake looks like him. I hate to be a downer, but when I look at him in LAOD, I see Woody. I wish that it were wood, but I cant unsee it. At least in photos. Another reason to see the film as soon as it is out to get that image out of my mind.
Maggie was on Craig Ferguson this week and I watched it last night, She was so relaxed and fun. The most relaxed I have ever seen her. Craig has that impact on women. No mention of Jake at all. She did say her mother originally was from Brooklyn. She was doing promo for the Nannie McPhee movie which comes out next week, I think.

Jake's haircut in LAOD is not my favorite, but it suits the role, and it's just nice to see him without the beard.

ReplyDeleteThis was my EXACT thought when I saw the trailer. The hairstyle elongates his face and makes his eyes look even bigger. Even some of the expressions he makes are almost cartoonish.
I know I'm usually the first one here to say I'm not going to get burned too M, especially after Brothers was kind of a bust, but LAOD really looks promising. Fingers crossed for a sexy and smart comedy.
