Everyone's asked what the hell is up with the shoes especially on the red carpet.
A shout out to Jethro Bodine?
Cletus the Slack Jaw Yokel?
Fans of the old shoe in the game Mouse Trap?
Do they have a monopoly?
Don't know but it looks like it these two are sole mates.
Maybe that's the point.

ReplyDeleteThe Devil is in the Deets !!!
ReplyDeleteShoes, Boots, Jackets, Baby talk, musical friends, chains, rings, beards, plaid shirts, long sleeve shirts, bikes and motorbikes, running, shinsplints.
We might not see them walking hand in hand, but some of this stuff is almost interwoven even if fingers are not.
Just thinking out loud...

ReplyDeletePerfectly said Seaweed.
He's so full of himself in that picture of him walking up the steps. I wish someone would take him down a peg or two.
ReplyDeleteHere's a hysterical interview Jake and Anne did with MTV. They talk about Glee, Teen Wolf, Jake imitates the interviewer and blames his behavior on having a cupcake earlier.
ReplyDeleteMTV
Don't really understand how you can get Jake being full of himself from a picture of him walking up the stairs with smile.
ReplyDelete"He's so full of himself in that picture of him walking up the steps. I wish someone would take him down a peg or two."
ReplyDeleteWalking up stairs and smiling at his own movie premiere! God what an a*shole!
Michael K's description of Source Code
ReplyDeleteJakey Gyllenhaal explodes over and over again in his new movie. Take your fingers off your nips, I didn't mean it like that
I never said I was leaving.
ReplyDeleteI said I was taking a sabbatical.
And I said when I came back, you would know.
Boy, for someone who keeps everything we say on file and external hard drive, you sure didn't pull up the correct recalled information on that one.
No matter if one disagrees with the comment about Jake walking up the stairs, there's no need to bring the A-word to this day's comments.
ReplyDeleteEverything was going along just fine until that unnecessary comment - and I'm talking about the one with the A-word in it.
I think Jake looks fine in both pictures. He doesn't look smug. Those two sure could use some new shoes.
ReplyDeleteI have been waiting for some comments from Austin about one particular event. I will be floored if he mentions it in his tweets.
Jake's friend Natalie Portman is now the odds on favorite to win win the Best Actress Oscar.

ReplyDeleteWhat are your opinons, if any, of Anne's comments about Jake giving too much? She says she worries about him??? They seemed to have become close during LAOD, which I think is good. She seems to be a loyal friend, as a fellow Scorpio, I know she will fight for her friend.
ReplyDeleteAh yes, the devil is in the details. And Jake is known for visual signals. Remember SNL. He also says volumes by what he does not say as well as what he does say. It must be exhausting to keep up all that effort to stay closeted.
ReplyDelete2 more days to go. the RT score just gets lower. Not sure when the critic moratorium will be lifted, but I hope the low scores are just a factor of the number of reviews and not a true indication of how they feel about the film. It had such promise.
Defamer/Gawker comments today about the Source Code trailer were surprisingly negative. I thought it looked pretty good.
I never said I was leaving.
ReplyDeleteI said I was taking a sabbatical.
And I said when I came back, you would know.
Sabbatical or a sabbatical (from Latin sabbaticus, from Greek sabbatikos, from Hebrew shabbat, i.e., Sabbath, literally a "ceasing") is a rest from work, or a hiatus, often lasting from two months to a year. The concept of sabbatical has a source in shmita, described several places in the Bible (Leviticus 25, for example, where there is a commandment to desist from working the fields in the seventh year). In the strict sense, therefore, sabbatical lasts a year.
Everything was going along just fine until that unnecessary comment - and I'm talking about the one with the A-word in it..
ReplyDelete21:04 Still telling people what they can and can't say. Please return to your sabbatical (the 12 month version preferably)
Tweet this morning from KTLA in LA about Jake.
ReplyDeleteHeads up West Coast.

Unfortunately it appears that the one who needs a sabbatical is Jake based on the critic's reviews starting to show up on RT. I expected them to be mixed but not near as negative as they are.
ReplyDeleteI came on too late to catch that radio interview but assume it will show up on IHJ before the end of the day.
All the interviews were canceled this morning: KTLA and Good Day LA and the Fox affiliate in IN, it was all live via satelite, I assume from NY. He has an appearence tomorrow on This Morning on CBS in NY unless that is taped he may cancel that as well if he still isn't feeling well.
ReplyDeleteIf we're going to use Rotten Tomatoes as an indication, then why not use all of the information?
ReplyDeleteIt has a 83% rating of the audience wanting to see it.
Why is that not mentioned? Cause it's not negative enough?
There are so far 18 reviews, basic math shows that the smaller the total number is, the more influence one of the reviews has in changing the overall percentages. A whooping number of 12 people have so far given it a negative review, for gods sake!
Why not just wait until people actually are able to see the movie and then make your judgement call? I don't think it's going to boot Harry Potter from #1, but I don't think it's the big flop people seem to be hoping for as some sort of punishment for the whole Taylor thing - which still hasn't materialized, btw.
Now I'll go back to being... what was it this time? Robot? I hope I can remember that: less "baaah", more "beep, beep, beep".
