It does take a Village ...People

Only one more to go

Anyone else notice Austin's outfit last night? Who wears an overcoat in April in LA, and it looks very similar to one of Jake's.

And for Two Wheel Tuesday more from Pedals from Progress.

  1. I see no end in sight for these 2. They're going to beard and have their people float stories probably until they're gray and in rocking chairs. They're ashamed of each other and they're ashamed of what they have; when they beard like this, I'm sorry but that is the message they give.

I agree PG, but I'm beyond caring enough to be disgusted by it all. But I do feel for any kids there may be. It's wrong to raise a child to be ashamed of their parents, and to hide them away like people used to do when they had a disabled child in the family.

  2. Happy Birthday M, hope you have a great day.

Enjoying this posts images Special, the one of Jake as Jack is seldom seen but its quite haunting. Austin's native image just cracks me up.

  4. Austin does look hollowed out in those Elle photos. At best, uninspired. There's a detachment written all over his face like he's just going through the motions. Soapy on the other had is bouncing off the walls in the pics as well as the videos. Flashing her gawdy swiss blue topaz cocktail ring, all smiles and waves. There's no doubt who wanted this evening out. And, of course, Jared has the "exclusives" once again. We know what they were talking about on that cruise line now, don't we?

Austin always looks like he isn’t interested in being with Sophia. What a douche. I think Sophia needs to be single for awhile he might be pleasant but what a loser. That blue dress and pink shoes look great on her. Anyone else think Austin is creepy?

They are still pretending to date?

Correct me if I'm wrong but wouldn't an "exclusive" mean it hasn't shown up in other places? It seems as though Jared pulled these off WireImage and GettyImages. :-)

  7. LOL! Look at the way Austin has his right leg crossed way over his left and how his shoulder is leaning away from SB. Do I hear the word, "cooties!"

And, could her dress get any higher? Jeez! Talk about doing anything for attention. All vibrant colors, smiles and thigh high exposure. Then there's dog-on a-leash Aus10 dressed in the same drab monochromatic scheme that Jake prefers. Maybe these two are in mourning for their manhood.

  8. Ah, the troll that pounces on every word. Predictable. Like most words, "exclusive" has more than one meaning. I'm using the term as follows:

exclusive: limiting or limited to possession, control, or use by a single individual or group.

    Thanks for playing.

  12. Off Topic -

In honor of a great man who died 66 years ago today, (April 12, 1945) Franklin Delano Roosevelt. Three of my favorite quotes. Timely as ever:

    * A radical is a man with both feet firmly planted — in the air. A conservative is a man with two perfectly good legs who, however, has never learned to walk forward. A reactionary is a somnambulist walking backwards. A liberal is a man who uses his legs and his hands at the behest — at the command — of his head.

    * Unhappy events abroad have retaught us two simple truths about the liberty of a democratic people. The first truth is that the liberty of a democracy is not safe if the people tolerate the growth of private power to a point where it becomes stronger than their democratic State itself. That, in its essence, is fascism — ownership of government by an individual, by a group or by any other controlling private power.
The second truth is that the liberty of a democracy is not safe if its business system does not provide employment and produce and distribute goods in such a way as to sustain an acceptable standard of living. Both lessons hit home. Among us today a concentration of private power without equal in history is growing.

    * Governments can err, presidents do make mistakes, but the immortal Dante tells us that Divine justice weighs the sins of the cold-blooded and the sins of the warm-hearted on different scales. Better the occasional faults of a government that lives in a spirit of charity than the consistent omissions of a government frozen in the ice of its own indifference.

  13. I have mention this before, but as the daughter of a photographer Sophia is well aware how to come forward in a photo. What she wears, hows she wears it and how she poses. Look how she grabs the light in the picture, and what Austin is wearing and has position himself to recede into the picture.

The picture of them sitting together does crack me up. Austin's body language really does says either cooties or he's a "good boy" who doesn't do those things on a first date. Turning away from an over zealous date. (And when has Austin ever been a "good boy")

When you see Austin with his fans, he has smile, a light in his eyes and open body language. He invites people into his space. With Sophia he is very clearly saying the opposite.

I do find it very interesting that he is wear that grey coat indoors, never taking it off. As well as it similarity to the one Jake wears,(which I think is not accidental) it makes him look like he can't wait to leave.

Have you ever seen Austin wear that coat before? He gave up his long herringbone tweed coat long ago. This is a very tailored grey cashmere coat. Very much like the ones Jake has. Why would Austin pull it out all of sudden in April in LA?

Jake and Austin use to do the grey scarf thing when apart and photographed. They've done it other ways as well. Always looks like their way to say they are thinking of the other when apart.

I think this could be the same thing with the grey coat.

Maybe they keep it simple and easy, and use the phone.

  21. Maybe they keep it simple and easy, and use the phone.

And maybe as people who make their living in front of the camera, they want to have a some visual evidence too. Look at what they did in TDAT. It's the same thing.

  22. That's a romantic notion SK. So sweet & cute.

    ReplyDelete
  23. That is cute but if that's the case and this being the 21st century why not just take a pic of yourself with your phone and text it. Why wait for a photo agency to take the pic, post the pic, link to a gossip blog?

Stop using logic! It gets in the way of the Harlequinn-type- romance, secret-coded-messages-through-clothes thing and destroys the fantasy!

  25. The word romantic exists because it describes real situations and emotions that people share when they are in love. Just because some people lack that sense of allure and awareness, doesn't mean the phenomenon doesn't exist. I agree that there are many instances of these two wearing each other's apparel, beginning with TDAT and that Michigan sweatshirt we see Jake wear on screen. Romance is about sensitivity, feeling deeply for someone and attaching meaning to things (e.g. events, clothes, jewelry, places, etc.). A person who feels at home expressing him/herself through open displays of affection, verbal declarations of love, and meaningful gestures (making someone their favorite meal), all of which come from deep within. There are grand gestures and there are small, intimate ones. Jake definitely seems like the romantic type to me. He feels deeply about things, is known for his sensitivity, expresses affection easily, makes incredible eye contact, and has a strong spiritual side that he discusses often. More than likely, being in the closet has probably inspired Jake and Austin to come up with a number of creative ways to reach out to one another across long distances and imposed separations. Being at a public event and wearing something of the other, knowing a photo will be taken and distributed over the Internet is one way of "touching" the other, even though the two cannot be there together.

Hiding one's true self from the rest of the world cannot be easy. It really is ironic that these two have apparently strove hard to romantically connect and reconnect to one another throughout their long years together, yet still refuse to display the ultimate expression of what true love is really all about. After all, there's nothing more romantic than the truth.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Very well said M&M, what you express is so obvious after having watched these two speak to each other in very non-verbal demonstrations of their fondness and love for each other.

    ReplyDelete
  27. too much work you are forgetting Jakes wearing a Ramona t shirt, the green jogging jacket and other visual signs he wore for friends and lovers during his first SNL stint. Just something he does. And that infamous brush by made by Austin in DAT. A lovers pat captured on screen forever. They both have a strong romantic streak.

  29. Austin has never mention writing with Sophia which makes me wonder if she embellished this, kind of the me too! me too! we do this together as a couple.

Let's not forget she does have a history of embellishing their story - him taking OTH to be with here - and how many years that they've been dating.
