Code Breakers

The hare might have hopped off with the box office then, but the tortoise wins now. Winning the showdown with a sidewinding lizard to make it the king of hill on the homefront.

Source Code debuted at No. 1 on all three charts the week ending July 31, bumping off Rango, to No. 2, on the Nielsen VideoScan First Alert sales chart, Nielsen’s dedicated Blu-ray Disc sales chart and Home Media Magazine’s rental chart. Source Code also finished number one for Red Box rentals.

The movie stormed to the top of the chart selling 385,656 units in it's debut week totaling additional $5,538,020, not including video rentals, or cable rights to add to it's worldwide boxoffice take of over $123 million dollars.

Not to shabby for a movie with a budget $35 million. ; )

Well done Jake and Duncan!

  5. Wow, that sounds like a lot of copies for an indie like SC.

On the way home from drinks with a friend tonight I walked by a theater that was having the premiere of One Day, it looked like the red carpet was pretty much over, but I saw Anne Hathaway and Jim Sturgess standing out there giving interviews at the end of the carpet. They both looked really good.

  7. Good news for Jake re the Source Code results. He needed some good box office to recover from the POP mess. Must add I watched Rango the other day and it sure was cute.

  8. Sadly Diana Nyad had to cut her swim short after 29 hours in the water and half way in the swim.

    I know I wouldn't have lasted even 29 minutes.

I knew Source Code was a keeper:) Loving Jake the way I do, I refuse to bash his not so great movies, but I will do a mad happy dance, and tell the world, when he hits the jackpot.

Please let me know where Austin is showing tonight. My son and I were watching Austin in Deadwood; he blew that role out of the water...tremendous acting...want more from him.
    Happy times all round....:)
