Jake is on top again.
Back in the fall EoW came out ahead it's opening weekend.
And now it's #1 for home DVD and Blu-Ray sales.
The small budget End of Watch turned out $41 million at the domestic box office and it still has releases worldwide scheduled for 2013.
EoW bumped the prior week’s top seller, 20th Century Fox’s Taken 2,
to the No. 2 spot on both the Nielsen VideoScan First Alert sales
chart, which tracks overall disc sales, and Nielsen’s dedicated Blu-ray
Disc sales chart.
This is another small to medium size movie that returned solid numbers and created profit after all is said and done.
Jake also has success in home DVD's. His last four movies were number #1 the first week of their DVD release. (Prince of Persia, Love & Other Drugs, Source Code and End of Watch)
While tentpole movies might not be Jake's forte for success, he has found the right combination of movie size, budget and target size to come out on top not just for the studio but Jake as well.
Way to go Jake. Nice, he works hard on his movies. I cant wait to buy my copy. :D
ReplyDeleteSo happy for Jim Nabors. So great that he found someone for so long. Wish them the best of luck.
@PG What'ca writing??? Can I read, would love too. :D
On the home front, Someone started a dumpster on fire. It is across the street from my house. Must not have been a big deal cause fire was put out and cops/fire left. Oh, its going to be a nice day. Sunny in the 60's here. so nice. :D
Stop bragging, Jess! ;D You know what it is here right now in Kansas? It's 12 degrees, feels like -5. That's minus 5, as in -5 !!!!
ReplyDeleteAs in 5 below 0 !!!
What a terrible, crazy, hectic day. Pretty stink-ola. Best thing is I'm back home now. I miss the Shih Tzu Crew but it was just time to get home. Working late, fiscal end of the month, hurry up and take down winter deco's to put up Valentine deco's because of another Christmas celebration tomorrow night but just now found out it's been postponed. So now I don't have to stress out doing that and wrap the present! LOLLLLL!!! I know, still have a present that's not wrapped. Don't give me an inch, I'll take a mile. Stuff to unpack still, laundry to do, mail, I'm stressed out.
Jess, I write Brokeback slash.
Oh yeah, uh huh, uh huh. Yup, yup, yup, yup. lol. Remember Al on Happy Days? He used to stand there, nod and lament, "Yup, yup, yup..."
;D
I am really wound up, not sure why. If some of my words end up as type-os as in missing an "m", it's because my laptop key "m" is sticking. Probably some kind of crumb down in there jamming it up.
ReplyDeleteOk well, time to throw in a load. Dinner break is over.
Did anyone see the story about the dog that was taken to the shelter by his owner to be euthanized because the owner suspected the dog was gay?
ReplyDeleteTown Saves Dog Abandoned for Being 'Gay'
Did anyone hear that Frank Ocean and Chris Brown got into a fight. I hope Frank kicked his butt:-)
ReplyDeleteRooting for Frank at the grammies.
Not sure if anyone has been following the story about a football player from Notre Dame who was involved in a weird fake internet relationship. Turns out the the love interest was a gay man who says he was in love with the player who goes by the name of Te o. Of course the football player claims he thought it was a girl all along. He even went on to say that the girl had died. It has been so weird. All along I have thought there was some type of Gay connection in this one and I was right.
ReplyDeleteI had not heard that part of the story. Wow.
ReplyDeleteI'm just now reeling from the Dan Marino news, which I had no idea about til the last hour or so.
Don't even get me started on that one. I'm headed off to bed, lol. **throws up hands**
Wow, can't believe that story about the dog. Beside being a homophobe, the guy is. A complete idiot when it comes to animal behavior.
ReplyDeleteLots of interesting football stories lately. There's also Kwame Harris being out by a domestic abuse complaint by an ex boyfriend. Keane then spoke up when that 49er made a comment about gays not belonging on football teams.
I wish people would stop supporting Chris Brown.
On a happier note, really enjoyed Matt Bomer on Rachel Ray tody talking about cooking with his kids and how his four year old twins love broccoli and quinoa, LOL.
