(Far from) Blue Steel

Jake from The Steelers game  back when he was in Pittsburgh filming.

What is that bare cheeks dimples and one of the best grins ever?

Like he saw a Sasquatch something.

Or from the angle of the picture maybe took the picture for the guy with the beer.

Olympics for ALL Moment:

Jimmy Kimmel pointing out to Russia and President Putin, that every sport is a little gay.

That's a pic of Jake at PNC Park where the Pirates play. He was at that game with Ed Zwick.

  3. Other than dating Reese, when it was all over the place, most of my friends are clueless as to what is going on Jake's life, and what's going on in a celeb's life has zero affect on what movies they see.

I should have also clarified that in addition to a star's fans, there are people who follow gossip in general and have a pretty good grasp on the stories out there, and can a lot of those can see through the PR crap. But I would guess that is a small subset of the movie-going population.

  4. That probably is true, Dest.

I think Mel Gibson would be a big exception to that one. I think Mel Gibson shot down his own career because of all his personal life revelations and at last year's Golden Globes, Jodie Foster seemed to be trying to get him accepted back into the ring. I'm not sure if it worked or not, but that sure seemed to me to be what she was doing.

  6. I just found Dr. Bill Crawford on Twitter. I heard him years ago at Mt Sequoyah during a weekend retreat and he was a great inspirational speaker. He's the guy where I found that great quote from Michael Levine.

"Sometimes we stay in Hell a long time because we have learned the names of the streets."

Isn't that a great quote? It's about staying in ruts because we can actually get comfortable where we're at and fear making a change.

Well, he has another super shortie that I thought I would share. This ties in with Michael Levine's quote.

  7. This is by Portia Nelson and it's called Autobiography in Five Short Chapters

    Chapter I

    I walk down the street.
There is a deep hole in the sidewalk.
    I fall in.
I am lost... I am hopeless.
    It isn't my fault.
It takes forever to find a way out.

    Chapter II

I walk down the same street.
There is a deep hole in the sidewalk.
    I pretend I don't see it.
    I fall in again.
I can't believe I am in this same place.
    But it isn't my fault.
It still takes a long time to get out.

    Chapter III

I walk down the same street.
There is a deep hole in the sidewalk.
    I see it there.
I still fall in... it's a habit... but,
    my eyes are open.
    I know where I am.
    It is my fault.
    I get out immediately.

    Chapter IV

I walk down the same street.
There is a deep hole in the sidewalk.
    I walk around it.

    Chapter V

    I walk down another street.

    EXCLUSIVE

Philip Seymour Hoffman's dying wish was to keep his children far, far away from Hollywood -- this according to the actor's will.

TMZ obtained a copy of PSH's will -- drawn up in 2004 -- and according to the document, Hoffman requested that his son Cooper (back then his only child) be raised in Manhattan ... in order to be surrounded by the culture, arts, and architecture of the city.

If NYC turned out to be impossible, Hoffman asked for his son to be raised in Chicago or San Francisco. And if that didn't work out either, Hoffman wanted his son to visit these cities at least TWICE per year ... for cultural purposes.

The glaring omission on his list is obviously Los Angeles -- interesting because Hoffman was a big time Hollywood actor who spent lots of time in L.A.

Clearly, he didn't think it was a suitable city to raise a kid in.

  10. That's interesting, Tom. Also interesting that he even had a will for someone so young. I wonder if all HW entertainers are urged by their managers to have a will.
