but Austin is more of a sporty sweater (set?)* fella
A twitpic of Austin and a fan popped up this week with him in a spring short sleeve cardigan
Funny how Austin always seems so attentive in those with complete strangers yet with others...
*Hey Austy - did you get it at the Alfred Dunner shop at Macy's?
Kirsten Dunst isn't exactly waving the feminist flag — and apparently that makes some people angry.
ReplyDeleteThe "Spider-Man" actress, 31, graces the cover of Harper's Bazaar UK for its May issue and offered her take on traditional gender roles during an interview with the mag.
"I feel like the feminine has been a little undervalued," she said, according to Us Weekly.
"We all have to get our own jobs and make our own money, but staying at home, nurturing, being the mother, cooking — it's a valuable thing my mom created."
Dunst added that sometimes "you need your knight in shining armor."
For her, that's her "On the Road" co-star Garrett Hedlund. Dunst has been dating the 29-year-old actor since 2012. Some of her exes include Jake Gyllenhaal, "Spider-Man" co-star Tobey McGuire, and Justin Long.
"I'm sorry," Dunst continued. "You need a man to be a man and a woman to be a woman. That's why relationships work."
Pro-feminist thought blogs and websites quickly fired back at Dunst's comments.
"Kirsten Dunst is not paid to write gender theory so it shouldn't surprise anyone that she's kind of dumb about it," Erin Gloria Ryan at Jezebel wrote.
Ryan's response is titled "Kirsten Dunst Thinks Ladies In Relationships Should Wife the F--k Out."
And Stacey Ritzen at Uproxx — who admitted she's "hated" Dunst since the 1990s — also slammed the "Elizabethtown" actress for apparently suggesting "women should know their place is in the home."

Sounds eerily familiar to the made up sexist crap planted in one of Jake's GQ articles. PR sure does love to portray those performers thought not to be straight as stereotypical, narrow-minded chauvinists. The logic being that if they sell their clients as identifying with the banality of mainstream America pablum then they must not be gay or lesbian or anything else outside the heteronormative paradigm by which everyone else is judged. #ReallyLame

Interesting if he is in Vegas (which is a short flight from LA)
ReplyDeleteAustin loves going out to Vegas
Austin saw Pacquiao's last fight out in Vegas
And Vegas is a great place "not to be seen" because as they say - What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas
