May the Fourth be with you

Had to do it, how can you not.

Jake and Austin both have worn helmets that look like Spaceballs. And Austin works with Princess Vespa. But it's all about Star Wars today.

So who would they be?

Well, despite Jake working with a young Anakin back in the day in London, you know he'd never go Darth. Come on, with all the talk about Harrison Ford from him, you know Jake is all about Han Solo.

And Han is one of the greatest anti-heroes on film. Smart, sarcastic and possessing of a certain cocksure charisma, how could Jake not want to be Han.

Even Ford had revisionist history to change his story. Well his character's past.

No matter how you spin it now George, people don't forget.

And who's right by Han's side?

You know it.Hmmm how Squatchi

You know this could work for Season 9. Even the hair ... Dammit I gave it away. Sorry Schwahny.

Then again, there's that special bond between R2D2 and C3P0, that people are still talking about almost 35 years later.

And their metals didn't match either.

You don't think Jake was getting cinnamon buns for a practice run for this do you?

“I’ve got a bad feeling about this.”

Who are you? Take the test.

Happy Star Wars Day!

  2. Boston is doing the Bixi bike sharing system too. It was announce in April that The plan is to begin with about 2,500 bikes in 290 stations then increasing to 5,000 bikes with around 475 stations through Boston, Cambridge, Brookline and Somerville, MA. I think it will be a huge hit, there are a lot of people who will use it to get around the city along with public transportation. And with a quarter of million college students coming back in September and more than three quarters of them don't have cars the bikes won't sit idle.

  3. Homophobic Oklahoma State Legislator Gets Reprimanded For Horrid Racist & Sexist Comments

Remember Sally Kern and her homophobic comments? She's back.

The Oklahoma House has voted to reprimand Kern for the comments about minorities, African Americans and women she made supporting approval on a proposed constitutional amendment to eliminate Affirmative Action in state government.

She's apologized, but this time it's not enough. The president of the Oklahoma chapter for the NAACP and the chairman of the Oklahoma Democratic party both are calling for her resignation.

  4. Boy is it time to go.

Love Fleetwood Mac too, and they really incorporated the songs into the plot of Glee. And the episode last week was really a killer, with Gaga's Born This Way and Kurt singing what I believe was a Sondheim song. I love Glee, but I agree for a while there some of the episodes were a bit off, but they've really been on a roll lately.

  5. That time to go was directed at Sally Kerns, not Jackie Cooper, lol my bad timing.

Did anyone take the Star Wars test?

Who did you get? I came up as a Luke.

Close. Andrew Lloyd Webber/Don Black/Christopher Hampton. Sunset Boulevard is the musical.

  13. Thanks As IF. Color me shocked, since I tend to hate Webber, and it sure sounded a lot like the music in A Little Night Music.

With so many people suffering because of this economy, Mr. I- Believe-in-Social-Causes is complaining about having five-figure Lakers seat, presumably with his beard by his side. Yeah, if something sucks, it's probably Austin Nichols and Sophia Bush.

  17. Think Austin's sarcastic wit didn't translate well in his latest tweet.

Lakers lost this game and the Lakers fans are not happy.
Artest got thrown out with less than a minute to go. Lakers getting boo'd on their home court. Not good.

The Lakers have dropped the first two games of the series and at home.

  18. I came up Luke Skywalker too. I'll never forget seeing Star Wars when it first came out. We went with friends. We were all blown away. Funny, I later saw Saturday Night Fever with the same friends. Same reaction but for different reasons. I guess we shared good movie karma.
