and then with the green, attending the Green Lantern premiere with Peter joining Jake and Maggie in the club of doing a summer big budget blockbuster.
But it was someone else who got the gift of Jake's holly jolly day. Because who likes short shorts?
Call it a gift for his 1st twitter birthday.
Uhh. Today's my 1st twitter birthday. I have so many questions. First, is anyone throwing a party for me tonight? Second, who is my mother? - AUS10
Well Mister the best OMG can do is this cupcake
and a bookAnd it had to be "Are You My Mother?" what else could it be?
His mother, thinking her egg will stay in her nest where she left it, leaves her egg alone and flies off to find food. The baby chick hatches. He does not understand where his mother is so he goes to look for her. In his search, he asks a kitten, a hen, a dog, and a cow if they are his mother. They each say, "No."
Then he sees an old car, which cannot be his mother for sure. In desperation, the hatchling calls out to a boat and a plane, and at last, convinced he has found his mother, he climbs onto the teeth of an enormous power shovel. A loud "SNORT" belches from its exhaust stack, prompting the bird to utter the immortal line, "You are not my mother! You are a SNORT!" But as it shudders and grinds into motion he cannot escape. "I want my mother!" he shouts."
What happens next?!?!?!
Only a 191 days till Christmas.
If you're good Santa may come early.
Ready for a royal rebound?
ReplyDeleteIn the new issue of Us Weekly (out now), two sources confirm that Pippa Middleton, 27, has split with beau of one year Alex Loudon. So who should Duchess Catherine's little sister hook up with next?
PHOTOS: Who's the hottest Brit out there?
Ryan Reynolds, 34, Jake Gyllenhaal, 30, Bradley Cooper, 36, and Justin Timberlake, 30, are all recently single -- perhaps Catherine, 29, can play matchmaker when she and Prince William, 28, visit California on July 8.

Dear Ted:
ReplyDeleteDo Grey Goose and Toothy still raise Baby Tile together? How can T.T. and G.G. lie about who they are and raise a child in secrecy and expect the child to turn out OK? I worry about Baby Tile. Am I the only one?
—Hot in Houston
Dear Child Services:
Sure Baby Tile has a pretty effed-up living sitch, but at least that sitch is safely away from the glare of Hollyweird. Just think of all the kids that have to grow up with their paparazzi photos splashed on the cover of tabloids. Now that's something to worry about.
Afternoon Bitch Back
Destiny I sure hope NY gets that one needed vote. Let me know who I can email or write to help the cause.
ReplyDeleteAnother non-answer from Ted regarding who is raising BT. And plenty of people in HW manage to keep their kids out of photos and off the covers of tabloids--magazines don't print photos if it is not okay with the parents, and Ted should know that. Or maybe he's just trying to defend them when he knows darn well it is, to use his own words, effed-up.
ReplyDeleteTom, here's a link to a page on Towleroad with all the information on the holdouts. FYI Ball and Lanza are making a lot of noise about wanting more protection for religious interests and Lanza just got out of a meeting and described it as a "line in the sand". Most think they are making a false issue out of this.
ReplyDeleteGOP swing votes
#1, I think Ted was very careful how he used the word "BT".
ReplyDeleteBT can be an umbrella term. These guys do not just have one kid. They've got multiples; I'd bank my next paycheck on it.
#2, Ted doesn't answer the question on how the brood is being raised. I wonder exactly just how often these kids are away from the guys and being brought up not only by a couple of nannies but by Austin's family or Jake's. I'm beginning to think it's more often than I used to think.
#3, Ted is indicating that it's a screwed up situation. And it is.
While yes, I like that Jake & Austin did not go the Orlando Bloom or Matthew McConaheyhey route, what good is it if you hide your family? What kind of life is that for those kids?
It's getting pretty darn close for these two guys to put their kids first and stop thinking of themselves and their darn careers. BT1 is going to be 4 this fall.
It's bad enough BT1 is 3 - kids today at 3 yrs old are pretty far along in development thanks to educational TV shows and pre-schools. I think it's pretty safe to say kids start remembering events in their lives by the age of 4-5. But even at 3, there could be times that BT could be hurt because he can't go with Daddy or Papa just because he cannot be seen with them in public. And that is so not right.
BT1 is going to start wondering why he can't go out to the park or to friends' birthday parties or to IHOP with Daddy & Papa like his other friends. Why does the family have to be split up to go out? Probably ride in separate cars, go in & out of separate entrances & exits, be inside a fenced & camouflaged yard all the time.
They cannot do that to these kids. What is the point of having a family? What did you want these kids for?
It has got to kill Jake & Austin to at least see Orlando Bloom be able to be out in the open with his adorable boy. And that kid of his is just cute as a button. At least they can all go out to breakfast with outside family members like normal people.
I think both of them are involved in raising their kids.
ReplyDeleteFar from Hollywood does not mean far from them.
Both have spent more time away from HW than there since BT(s) were born.
Yes Ted is saying that he does not like the situation of they are in, but he has never said that they are absent and not involved in their children's lives.
But hey, maybe it doesn't kill them. They're continuing on with their important careers like they have all the time in the world.
ReplyDeleteChildren don't ask to be born just so they can grow up living in an isolated world for the sole pleasure of their parents. They need to learn how to play and work with others, how to behave socially in normal settings like public restaurants, stores & libraries, how to deal with disappointments like balloons getting away and floating away into the sky, visiting zoos & water parks with their family and not just with nannies, uncles and aunts.
I think some people don't believe Ted when he talks about BT for the sole reason that they can't believe Jake (or Austin) would have a kid but then keep the child hidden from the public.
Man, they better face up to it because that's exactly what's going on. I don't think it makes Jake or Austin horrible people yet since BT1 is still about 3. But it's starting to get darn close.
I think already they're not putting these kids first; they're putting themselves first.
And if it continues this path, by the time BT1 reaches the point where he can start remembering people/events in his life, then Jake & Austin will have reached a point where it becomes an unbelievably atrocious situation.
And I just cannot believe these 2 guys will do that. At least I hope with all my heart they will not do that.
Hey, I still say Jake or Austin needs to experience that big time in their lives that all parents need to live through.
ReplyDeleteYou know, that time when your kid throws a big SNIT in the middle of Wal Mart, Target or the grocery store. After you tell them no, they can't have something.
You've seen it. The kid throws him/herself down on the ground, screaming to high heaven and has to be dragged to their feet.
LOLLLLLLL!!!!
Or they need to experience the public humiliation that happens when you all eat at an IHOP or Mimi's Cafe and when you get up to leave, your kid has left this ginormous area of crumbs and spilled clumps of food. The carnage of a 2-3 year old having a meal. Every parent must leave their mark at some point in their life at a public restaurant.
Well, it's me, Maycee and little Chloe. I've just now been able to connect to someone's signal and we're out here on the upstairs deck, surrounded by lush trees. So my connection is spotty; just barely hanging on by a cyber thread, lol. Not sure how long I'll be here - their length of time away is going to be played by ear. Could be awhile, though!
ReplyDeletePippa? Dating a HW type? LOL. As if. Pippa is the IT girl right now, though. She has hit paparazzi big time.
Funny post today, Special. I remember that book. Aw, you can't beat Dr. Seuss!
Speaking of books, well back to writing!

ReplyDeleteI think the most significant thing about the toothy//goose/baby tile mention is that there is almost no discussion about it on AT. Taken for granted that Toothy is Jake. No further discussion required.
ReplyDeleteThat is a great observation M.

Jake and Atticus
ReplyDeleteLOL! People picked the glum photo of Jake from the tighty whitey, I'm-going-to-sue-you debacle from last month. Surely, they could have picked a better photo of a happier Jake!
ReplyDeleteLOL the copy with the picture:
ReplyDeleteWomen may come and go, but the actor's dog Atticus will always be by his side.
