Bronze Age

Austin shows off his new favorite bronzer in the make up trailer on set.@amazingcosmetic @AUS10NICHOLS his new favorite bronzer -@makeupbytym

Jake shows his off on PR tour.

Now fellas go easy on that stuff, just a little dab will do you.

It's a slippery slope before this happens :

  1. oh my, the perils of bronzer. Do those people who overdo it not have a mirror.

If Jake was seen with a woman, you can bet it was business or a long time family friend.

  3. Ha! An Oompa Loompa! Absolutely, brilliant! So much better than a orangey pic of John Boehner.

In fact, given the Kabuki dance that's been going on in Washington these past few months, I'd much rather see Austin negotiating to raise that debt ceiling. There's a man who knows how to be persuasive, with or without bronzer. LOL!

  4. Dear Ted:
Would it be accurate to say that Toothy Tile spends a lot of time in the San Fran valley?
    —S

    Dear Tile's Abode:
Toothy is familiar with many a gay mecca, SF, included.

  5. Funny post today. As much as I love the color orange, have to say it is not a good look on skin.

For someone who is supposedly working on a movie, Jake sure seems to be traveling a lot. I guess it's still in pre-production.

  7. nothing to do with my man with that last question:)

  8. If a friend comes over with another friend and you all have biscuits and cheese - I don't think that's strange at all, ng. Sounds nice!

  9. I think it sounds nice too NG.

Adam performed a new song in concert, and I just think it is stunningly beautiful. Someone on Towleroad put up some of the lyrics, and said it made them think of BBM.

    Everywhere we go
    We're lookin' for the sun.
    Nowhere to grow old.
    And always on the run.
They say we'll rot in hell
But I don't think we will
    They've branded us enough
    Outlaws of love.

There are several versions of the song out there on Youtube, this one you can understand the lyrics more clearly, but be warned, the screaming at the very beginning and very end is REALLY LOUD. But stick with it, the screaming stops when he starts singing.

  10. Destiny, Adam himself posted a link on his twitter to the new song on youtube. Pretty cool thing to do, I think.

Was that bit about Toothy from Ted today? I guess I missed it. Jake is often not seen for many days. A clue to where he and Austin slip away to, perhaps.

  11. "Tangerine Dream" - lol!

I saw that Adam had a new song, I'll have to listen - nice lyrics.

NG, I love Sean Bean too - over here, they are repeating the PBS series "Sharpe" starring him, and I can't wait. I also loved him in Patriot Games. There's just something about him. :)

  12. I'll listen to that song tonight - too much going on here for me to concentrate on an Adam song! I must have quiet! I don't know how he can top Aftermath but I love the lyrics already. Love, love Adam.

Sean Bean!!! I like this name. He's pretty attractive. You know who else is attractive in Patriot Games? Mr. Ford.

  13. Don't think we're doing Jimmy's Egg this morning. We're all up & about too late.

Reese's has been our whole focus this weekend. We all watch her every move and behavior. From the moment we stepped into the door Friday night, Reese's greeted us with open paws. She's adapting incredibly well to the house and the kids just love her. My brother walks her every morning and my SIL walks her in the evening. The kids walked her in the beginning but now my brother & SIL almost climb over each other to walk her because it gives them a chance for a good walk themselves. So the kids do other things like take turns feeding and brushing her. It's pretty exciting to have her now in the family.

We made a trip to Petco last night and hit the Dog Treat bar, bought her a new toy fox that she loves, a Rescue My Pet! sign for the door and just so Fish wouldn't feel left out, a little palm tree for his new tank. Fish is the big goldfish that they have had for several years.

    ReplyDelete
  14. And just like the kids, Reese's will become regimented since she is the dog of two teachers. LOL. You cannot win when you have two teachers for parents. Everything is about routine, routine, routine, schedule, schedule, schedule. lol

They have the best farmers market down here. We hit that yesterday and then everyone split up, going to different movies and my nephew & I, we had some bonding time going to a music store. He plays the baritone but now he also plays electric guitar. So that was incredible to go into this store where they had so many electric guitars, drums, every time of percussion instrument you could think of. We had Rock Star time yesterday and I bombed as usual with a 30 something score my first time. LOL!!! That is so fun but I'm so terrible at it.

I think it's awesome to hear my niece & nephew loving those great 80's songs like Hold On Loosely and Whip it! They weren't even born yet but they love those songs as if they were just released today.

  15. And had a tomato from their garden last night called an Orange Icicle. Boy that thing was good. But it's weird to eat a tomato that is orange. Every time we see my brother, he introduces us to some new breed of produce. Last summer it was the soyu long cucumber. Mmm mm mm. That cucumber was one of the best I've ever had.

  16. Sorry to hog the floor but I haven't posted since when, sometime on Thursday? lol There is much to catch up on! And after a snack to tide me over to breakfast, I will have to get a bit more serious and make a few observations about the 5k'er. Not the marathoner like the insinuation seems to be out there - but the 5k'er.

  17. Love, Adam's new song. His voice really sails into a timber full of compassion and rich in overtones that grabs your heart and pulls you in. I think his best work is wrapped in genuine honesty and an affecting sadness, yet invariably leads somewhere that is hopeful and soaring. A winning combination for sure.

I'm definitely looking forward to his sophomore album. Adam calls his creation, the "dream" album, which means we shall be treated even more to what is inside Adam's heart. That's gotta be a good thing. Thanks, Destiny for sharing that treat.

  19. Last night, Austin and Sophia made a couple of chess moves on Twitter for all to see.

Sophia threw a tweet at him trying to force him to say something because there are some mumbling/rumblings going on behind the scenes as to what is going on between those two.

Austin caved like the nice guy that he is after pressure from some of Sophia's twitter posse.

What I find aggravating is that Sophia never tweeted one stinkin' word about his Grand Marshall nod and parade. But her posse is holding him responsible for being in SF with her?

While they can squee that they finally tweeted at each other, they need to ask themselves why they are having to do that on twitter.

There's your answer right there, girls. He had to tweet at her to talk to her. In other words, he wasn't with her.

Another big question is why does she wait until hours before the race to even talk to the guy after not having directly talked to him on Twitter since who knows when?

Since when? Further back than I can remember.

Again, did Sophia ever say anything about Austin's big deal in L.A.? No.

And when does Soap finally say something about the T shirt that was done requoting one of his tweets? 24 hours later! 24 hours after the fact.

She waits until the last minute before her race to speak to him, forcing Austin to say something so that he doesn't look like a cad.

  20. This was a big chess game going on this weekend in case people weren't paying attention and it all started with Jake being spotted/tweeted in S.F. and Ted also got into the mix with his Ask Ted yesterday about S.F.

That question yesterday about S.F. didn't just fall out of the sky into his lap. That had big significance in what's been going on this week.

Those tweets (or were they FB sightings, I forget) of Jake in S.F. placed Jake in San Francisco, thus preventing Austin from being seen in S.F.

Either way it was a win-win for Jaustin. Either way: Jake being in S.F. the same weekend as that race doesn't allow Austin in SF because you can't have Austin and Jake in the same city at the same time.

Or two, Austin can be in S.F. at the same time as Jake and the cyber world isn't going to explode which would be a new one for those 2 guys. To be allowed to be spotted in the same city at the same time.

You know what I think? I think Sophia's been dumped and she's pissed as hell about it. She is a scorned woman and that's why she's been furiously tweeting ever since she opened up her big mouth about her & Austin sharing an eco friendly house together, the big lie that got her into trouble in the first place.

They can prove me wrong with the fauxmance but I think it's toast. And Soap has been mad as he** about it.

And as someone said yesterday, just like Reese, the guys need to keep an eye on Sophia because she has proven that she can be just as calculating and manipulative.

She proved it last night with that ridiculous tweet at Austin.

    ReplyDelete
  21. What I love about Austin is that he just keeps quiet and goes about his business. He does speak softly and carry a big stick. I love that about him.

But that tweet of hers last night was a calculated move at him. There's a word for behavior like that, you know.

Okay, there ya go, I've said my piece for now about it.

Well I guess we're going out to breakfast this morning. Won't be Jimmy's Egg though - they'll be SRO by now.

Better run - time to get ready!

    ReplyDelete
  22. LOL - I love how I spelled out hell in one sentence and then inserted two ** the second time I said it. Oh well! lol

    ReplyDelete
  23. Exactly, PG. Soapy knew that her troops would be out in force the evening before the race. That's when she sends out an ostensibly complimentary, belated tweet about that Optimus Prime t-shirt idea that was discussed well over 24 hours before. Austin would have looked like a cad to not respond. Moroever, she is involved with a good cause so that played into Austin's vulnerabilities as well. He could have avoided this whole thing if he had been proactive instead of reactive and sent out a generic tweet early Saturday, wishing everyone good luck on the Nature Conservancy Run.

  24. I am happy that Jake is not actively bearding. I am starting to get the nasty taste of two fauxmances out of my mouth. I hope it lasts. As far as Sophin it will continue in one form or another until OTH goes bye bye. Hopefully that will be soon.

  27. All these moves me think what if the "War room" of Dr. Strangelove played Risk on a show called That's My Beard.

    ReplyDelete
  28. LOL, That's My Beard, that'd make a good realty show.

Wow, so much to catch up on, such as the tweets, and thanks M and M for the heads up on Bomer, I didn't know he was on The Today Show yesterday, (and didn't even know they were on on Saturdays).

And guess I"m going to have to break down and get a Twitter account, I seem to be one of the few not following Adam. Nice of him to link to the fan video, and totally agree with what you said M and M about the emotional impact of the song, I have to say it really got to me.

Can't wait for his second CD. I think the first one was a lot more dance music than Adam probably would have gone with if he'd had complete control, this one I think will be more of what he wants. The record company oddly enough didn't seem to realize what his strengths are, as they released the big ballads last, and yet those were his biggest hits.

  29. Love Farmer's markets, just got back from one this morning. Love all the different colored tomatoes--orange, yellow, green, all different shades of red, even purplish/black. Also orange beets and red and yellow carrots. I go crazy with the vegetables this time of year.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Well, it was Jimmy's Egg after all! Jimmy's Egg is awesome.

The kids have been taken shopping for new school shoes and my brother & I have Source Code on. They have a big flat screen and wow, you can see every pore in Jake's face. LOL. Every hair follicle, every blood vessel in his eyes.

    ReplyDelete
  31. I know I love this farmers market we go to here. They have so many farmers and people from little towns in Kansas you never even heard of and they have everything under the sun. The cucumbers were ever where and lots of different kinds. They have a lot of people who make breads, rolls, cookies, pies, etc. Summer's a great time to buy a homemade pie because no one wants to heat up their kitchen baking one, let alone take the time to make a pie.
You have plants, flowers, buffalo meat, eggs,

Now THIS is the way to watch a movie.

What was the award show recently in which the host made a comment about all the beards in the audience. That was great. It doesn't take a genius to figure out how much of this goes on and which is real and which is fake.

  33. As far as Sophin it will continue in one form or another until OTH goes bye bye. Hopefully that will be soon.

It does remain to be fully seen. I thought the same thing - they would need to continue to do it for the show, right?

I don't know but there is no denying one thing for sure.

Sophin as an environmentally green duo is KAPUT. DONE. He is doing his own thing. She is doing hers. She said nothing about his LA River Ride, not a single blessed endorsement or congratulations; no one pestered Sophia about not being there to support him. But he gets pestered and questioned about why isn't he in SF supporting her. That is bullshit.

And he wasn't saying anything about her 5K Race until Sophia tweeted at him last night in the midnight hour about something that happened for him 24 hrs earlier. She didn't just find that out. She's been tweeting on her phone non-stop for 48-72 hrs. She knew.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Just like George Clooney's beard blew it when she started talking in the press about hoping to get married, etc., Sophia made a big boo-boo when she blabbed in that obscure magazine about sharing an eco-friendly home with Austin, which was a complete fibberoo.

    No different, you guys.

  37. Again, I'm just reiterating a lot of what Special and M&M said yesterday. Maybe it can't be said enough until more people realize what's been going on.

This is as good as watching a movie in the theatre, you know that? Huge screen, HD quality, great sound...but there's no annoying chatting going on, no heads blocking my view, lol.

I don't know that I like seeing every pore, every shaving cut, every blood vessel though. lol.

I don't know about that part.

  38. A lof of the fans only care about Austin as an appendage to Sophia, that's why nobody kicks up a fuss when she doesn't say anything about his activities. Once Sophin is completely kaput Austin is going to see a big drop in his so-called fan base.

  40. We're in the car so I wish I could better explain what I have observed from the oth fans but I don't have the finger power but yeah I will agree he will lose some fans. But Austin is an extremely likable guy in his own right.

Some of those girls are going to have to ask why did such a good one get away from Sophia.

    ReplyDelete
  41. I agree most of sophin's fanbase belongs to Sophia. Austin is just a shiny little bracelet Sophia has used to try to save her struggling career. Austy has been a faithful litle pup though. I think he has little interest and won't be grieving too much when it ends.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Unlike CMM , Austin hasn't "cheated" on Sophia. So what reason are they going to give for the "breakup"? This could be part of the reason for Sophia tweeting like a wild banshee at everyone but Austin all summer long.

    Just a thought.

  43. Totally agree, tom. He's got Jake. Who in the heck needs Sophia?

    Any argument there?
