  1. You think this guy isn't just absolutely obsessed about his image? He's on the cover of the new Good Housekeeping - Good Housekeeping, mind you, and still manages to bring up yet again the subject of the gay rumors.

What was that again, Hugh? I think I missed it the other 1001 times, buddy.

"Jackman also denies persistent rumors that he's secretly gay in his Good Housekeeping cover story. "I don't really pay attention," he admits. "If someone's going to spend their time saying, 'You're really not 6-foot-2; you're 5-foot-10, I'll tell them once, 'I am 6-foot-2.' Then, whatever you want to believe, it's up to you. Am I going to waste energy going, 'I'm so mad that this person says I'm 5-foot-10?' We really only get mad when there's an element of truth, right?"

'Am I going to waste energy'. **smh** Does he honestly not see what he's doing? Is he really that blind?

Sorry for the Fisher Price link:

  2. I mean, Good Housekeeping is recipes and 100 uses for vinegar and sofa covers and it's marshmallow fluff.

I'm just really dumbfounded on this one, lol.

  3. I remember Reese being in MV when that whole moronic thing started. I guess we should expect a huge coming out photo op of these two soon. It was funny how PR staged the whole scene of this girl moving out of her apartment in which she lived with her BF. Glad I am not following it much. I don"t even know what Jake's new employee looks like yet. I guess we will all see it in the supermarket check out. Don't think this will generate a Swift or Witherspoon type excitement though. Def more in line with the Clooney/DiCaprio style. Sure Jake will be more comfortable with this. Thank God for SI models and cocktail waitresses Huh.

  4. Yup, thank heavens, Tom! ; )

I think one difference with this one is 1) no one knows who in the heck she is.

    2) Back when he and Reese did Rome, BT had just been born. The umbilical cord had barely just been snipped.

Well, guess how old BT is now? BT is going to be 6 this year in October. I think it might be a big harder to go big with this one than it was with Reese back in 2007.

But if he does? Ha! I say go for it. I'm rooting for it just like I'm still rooting for that picture of Reese in the Italy courtyard.

And he and Austin will have a set of really psychologically screwed up kids. So far, we've seen how far these 2 guys will go to keep their careers and make a living at what they do. Now I'm waiting to see how far they'll both bend in terms of fatherhood.

  5. Using GH to deny you're gay, boy that is a new one. He sure is beating that drum isn't he.

  6. The new National Enquirer has a masterpiece story with the title “Oh Brother!” about Maggie urging Jake to take his dating life more serious, settle down and have a family like hers, but Jake ignores her advice and he is happy being a serial-dater and a womanizer. They list all his ex-girlfriends and mention that he was until recently with Emily and now he is with Alyssa, both models and 10 years younger than him. Maggie wants Jake to rekindle his romance with “his first true love” Kirsten Dunst (who is on the rocks with bf Garrett Hedlund) and is insisting Jake to give her a call, but Jake is having non of it and he is perfectly happy being on the casual dating circuit so Maggie thinks Jake is acting frivolous. According to “a friend” Jake has become a commitment-phobe since he had his heart-broken by the chin Reese because he thought they would be forever and ever together, but she dumped him and marry someone else (hahahaha)

  7. And do you know what that National Enquirer PR story is?

It's the first foreshadowing of the demise of Jalyssa, that's what it is.

I give them two more weeks.

  8. Really does seem like PR watches… and responds.

As soon as the launched the media stories that Jake was dating Alyssa, it was pointed out that, after a review of her social media, Alyssa was obviously still living with her boyfriend, Bjorn.

Few days later there’s an instagram of the moving truck and that heart-warming story about how Jake helped her move out with a UHaul and oh, by the way, she and Bjorn lived in the same building but were in separate apartments (which is a lie BTW).

Several posters have recently questioned Jake’s dating pattern. For several years he’s in committed relationships with blonde Alister actresses (KiKi and Reese) and headed for serious commitment – he speaks of his desire to have a family many times. Then the past three years, he’s all over the place – singers, grad students, cocktail waitresses in Toronto, swimsuit models. Sporadic, no-strings, non-serious dating. How did he go from there to here?

Well now we have the Enquirer article, explaining it all to us enquiring minds, step by step. No questions unanswered. Oh so THAT’s why he goes from KiKi to Reese to Taylor to SI model girls who all look alike.

And that is why they will break up by August, too.

Thanks PR! Or maybe you should be thanking us for doing your job for you.

  9. Hey, at least they've already lasted longer than Kaley and Henry.

  10. I can see Austin being compared to Randolph Scott very easily.

So funny that all these women are swooning over a man [Jake Gyllenhaal] who likes men. I've seen him out with his "friend". . . They are like Cary Grant and Randolph Scott. . .

  12. Aw, I screwed up. lol

^^^^ That is quite a comment find that M&M found, you guys.

Very few words. Very simple. But sometimes you don't need every single detail down to the color of their socks for the comment to be believable. In fact, sometimes the more verbose a tweet or Facebook posting, the more suspicious it can look.

This girl is in L.A. She speaks as though she has seen Jake with his 'friend' several times, enough to surmise there is something more there than friendship. Not only that, this comment was made when? July 11, 2013. Just yesterday.

Meaning what? She is speaking in the present tense - she's not saying "I used to see him". She says "I (have) seen him out with his 'friend'."

And who do we find in L.A. every time when PR doesn't want Jake to be found there? 'Niece' Tweet, anyone??? Austin.

Who is undoubtedly already in Austin TX when PR doesn't want Jake to be found there? Austin.

Who was seen with Jake in NYC in November with a one-shot buffer "cover" between them? Austin.

Who was spotted in London right on the heels of Jake and then showed up in Berlinale with him at the Berlinale gala? Austin

I Google'd Cary Grant and Randolph Scott and found this short article with a lot of beautiful pictures of the two men. Cary Grant and Randolph Scott: A Love Story

There is no other man who is as taboo of a link to Jake - as Austin is. Everyone loves Chris. JayZ has his fans - people have no problems with him. People had no problem with Marcus Mumford or Lance Armstrong. Texas David? Ah yes, bff as well. No problem. But Austin? Austin has the audible power of a sharp gasp, lol. There are fans of Jake who I think literally run and hide when it comes to Austin being in any kind of vicinity of their beloved actor.

Oh well! I don't know how long it's going to take for it to sink in to people but I'm so fixed on this train, I'm never getting off until we see a divorce filed in public.

  14. I like her comparison to Cary Grant and Randolph Scott. I am not educated on their relationship, professional or personal. I didn't know they were roommates. I read this short article and found it pretty interesting. I found the pictures mesmerizing, particularly the moments at home which looked pretty intimate to me.

The picture of Cary reading on the floor at the feet of Randolph, who was sitting in the chair was very warm to look at. Kind of reminds me of that scene in LAOD where Jamie Randall had his head in the lap of Maggie while reading a book. And I wonder if Jake drew from personal experience for that scene.

    It's a nice thought.

Anyway, getting away from my original thought. I just think for a brief moment, forgetting about all of this current surrounding nonsense, how striking of a thought for LAGirlie to compare Jake and his companion to the classic image of Cary Grant and Randolph Scott. And I wonder what she saw that made her make such a comparison.

Because if she's comparing them to Cary Grant and Randolph Scott, I don't think she saw some flash in the pan hook up, some casual friendship.

She saw something deeper. And that thought makes me go to the 'friend' as being only one person and that person has got to be Austin.

  15. Why is that Daily Mail comment any different than comments on DL, JJ or any number of places?

  16. You're probably one of those posters who think there are no gay men in Hollywood. The comparison is significant. Like someone who has seen Jake with this guy on several occasions in LA.

I just watch "My Favorite Wife" in which Cary and Scott starred in 1940 with Irene Dunne. With the aid of my tv set I was able to notice something I hadn't seen before. Both men are wearing the exact same ring on the pinky finger, left hand. Sweet.

  18. #1. Because we know Jake isn't straight, all right? And don't even go there with the "you don't know!". Don't even.

#2. Because of the comparison to longtime, old Hollywood glamor like Cary Grant and Randolph Scott.

I would say this was either an older person or if it was a younger person, say in their 20's, then they may be a fan of old movies and relationships. I bet they probably also frequent lesser known neighborhood establishments that Jake & Austin also like to go to that are highly gay populated.

Look at that article I linked. Look at that picture of Cary Grant reading at the feet of Randolph Scott. I'm sorry but that's all you have to know. That's a beautiful picture of established comfort and familiarity and togetherness.

She didn't compare them to Lance Bass and his latest. No, she compared them to Cary Grant and Randolph Scott. That comparison really catches my attention.

  19. M&M and I were just on the phone and she found something so tragic and touching. Did you know that Randolph Scott died on March 2, 1987, less than 4 months after Cary died on November 29, 1986.

    Touching beyond belief.

Wow, that's all kinds of interesting, isn't it?

You know, this comment in the Daily Mail article has led me to an old HW story I was completely unaware of. I don't know if I ever read about this relationship between Cary and Randolph Scott but now that I have found this article about their love story, I'm all kinds of fascinated.

How utterly tragic! Things were so different back then. They were just so different. And to see that they died barely 4 months apart......I may have to do some more reading up.

  21. [2] E. J. Fleming, The Fixers: Eddie Mannix, Howard Strickling, and the MGM Publicity Machine (2005), page 149. "Soon after Cary Grant came to Hollywood in 1932 he left his boyfriend Jack Orry-Kelly for another actor, Randolph Scott. Archie and Randy immediately became a couple and shared several houses together, forcing Paramount to describe them for papers as room-mates. When they were called a happy couple, they had to find girlfriends." Grant cohabited at 2285 West Live Oak Dr., among other locations. Long an open secret, the arrangement is additionally confirmed by the first-hand account of Scotty Bowers, Full Service: My Adventures in Hollywood and the Secret Sex Lives of the Stars (2012).

    It was a long relationship
