And all that jazz

 Jake can
Drum it up

tooting his own horn

and do the song and dance

but it's the pizzazz that gets the attention!

  1. I think this entire family has something at stake and that is why they've been in support of Jake's closet from the very beginning, dating back to Maggie helping to find Jake's first beard, Kirsten Dunst.

Just give a rest PG will you, and stop rattleing the cage.

No matter how much you scream and holler, nobody cares about Jake's sexual nature but you and and handful of others. Time to give up. Love Jake or Leave Jake or get on with your own life.

He still has his even if you're trying to tear it down to get people to notice he's gay and hiding the elusive 6 babytiles.
    NOT happening.

Almost 8 years and nobody has seen one of these babytiles.
    Have You?
Are they kept at Fort Knox or Camp David? Just asking!

  2. Well someone must care, because you "cared" so much to post a rant in the middle of the night.

And there have been many times Jake has seen with kids who people have rationalized were Ramona, or a miniature size assistant or maybe just helping out randomly pushing a baby carriage (except it was way before niece Gloria was born) some other random excuse, because they can't explain why Jake would be seen with a child who isn't his nieces or why he was at a museum or a movie theater or a restaurant or pirate ship play structure.

And there was that small coat on the chair in London when Jake was over there filming Prince of Persia. And, I would say his peculiar sudden "closeness" with Maggie. He's always been an LA boy, but suddenly worked overtime to be seen as a New Yorker devoted to Maggie's kids. A grown man doesn't do that. They would have their own family. Not co op someone else's kids.

I agree. This person's rant shows just how nervous some people still are. Lurking on a blog to be the first one to post, tells me somebody is nervous. I don't comment very often. But, I like to push back when bullies appear who are trying to shut down discussion.

And, oh honey, Jake is unicorn gay. So is Austin. If you believe any of the crushingly immature attempts to push either man with other women, I feel sorry about your inability to see what is right in before your eyes.

  4. It's sort of offensive to me to hear someone described as "unicorn gay" - such a stereotype. JMO.

Well lots of aunts and uncles do this. Don't some of the childless regulars here live near their nieces and nephews for that reason.

There are many plausible explanations for the real reasons Jake moved from LA to NY. The story he tells is he wants to be near his Mom and sister's family and there's truth to that. Seems like his parent's divorce distanced him a bit from his Dad. Jake said in interviews before this move for years really that he's not into LA, that he doesn't buy into the LA lifestyle and stuff like that. If Jake is raising a child he keeps out of the public eye it makes sense that he'd want to be near family to help him.

    No.

I had my job before my niece and nephew came along. And I'm not changing jobs just to be near them.

Sure I'd love to be closer but that's the way it is. My job is mine and is such that I'm not moving anywhere else away from it because I love who I work with and the other aspects of my job, while very stressful and being hair pulling most of this year, have been surprisingly fulfilling as well as exciting.

I'm not leaving it. I can visit my brother's family whenever I desire. But they're not my kids, see the difference? If I wanted my own kids, I would not be moving to be near my brother's just so I could have kids in my life.

I would have had my own.

There is a certain degree of truth to this but not for the reason this statement intended, I don't think.

Jake needed Maggie & Peter's kids for cover, that's what he needed them for.

That way, when he was seen buying baby or child supplies or toys, people would always think, "Oh yeah, he has a couple of nieces. That's why the toy doll or children's book is in his cart." Or when he's spotted with a child, someone would say, like that Facebook slip by that guy over Labor Day, "Oh honey, Jake Gyllenhaal has a niece. That's who that kid had to have been that you saw him with."

Ohhhhhhh but yet Jake's nieces were still over in London that Friday of Labor Day and how did we know that? Because not only did Maggie make a big twitter announcement of her return to the States after that Facebook sighting of Jake at the children's park, but Jake himself said on David Letterman that his sister and her family were still over in London during that Labor Day holiday.

So there have been times when the locale of the Gylgaard girls did not help out Uncle Jake too much, lol.

Nothing wrong with the term unicorn gay. I'm not the poster above, but my gay friends use terms like that all the time. One of them even has a unicorn tattoo on his arm. There are lots of clues that point to Jake having his own family.

And, even though I have a child of my own, grown to adulthood now, I never thought for a second of moving closer to my brother or sister so I could be in the same city as my nieces and nephews. That makes no sense. Also, Maggie had her kid in 2006. Why did Jake suddenly want to be nearer to his niece in 2012 when she's already in school and making her own friends? Living her own life. With her own parents. Heck her own mother is even around. Why should Jake be?

  10. Ironically, the naysayer spends morning, noon and night following a website he professes to not believe in. And he thinks we should give it a rest? He needs to follow his own suggestion and spend his time where others share his opinion. We are here because we believe and so spend our time productively.

Great point that Jake needs Maggie's kids for cover, especially now that his are older.

  11. Loved seeing the big guy on Twitter this morning. Good for him. I wish we saw more of him in Twitter activity. Oh well, nice to have a Green moment from the uncharted island beatnik.
    ;D

Could Austin's tweet have had anything to do with re-asserting himself after this lame-a** attempt by @chloebennet to try and get fans excited and jumping to conclusions that she and Austin may have been together yesterday? You ask how might she have done this?

    Check out this lame tweet:

  12. Why is blogger spacing so much? That's kind of irritating the heck out of me.

Anyway, back to that nonsense of a tweet. So the beard tweets that thing and of course, a few of the gals are getting excited and commenting on her instagram, concluding that, of course, she must be in Austin TX.

Well, that's not a given. Yes, there is a Lake Austin, as she tweeted. But Chloe Bennet has been in cold weather this holiday, somewhere where it's been -6 degrees. Likely Michigan where she is from, perhaps?

And could that be where she likely is, in Michigan where there is an Austin Lake.

See, in Michigan, it's called Austin Lake. In Texas, it's called Lake Austin.

Yet she called it Lake Austin. Odd, isn't it? Being from Michigan and all, that she would tweet "Lake Austin" ?

    tsk, tsk, tsk.

  13. If Austin was re-asserting himself even if only in a Twitter way, I'll stand behind him all the way. Not that it'll last because we all know how the closet works and there'll be more nonsense around the corner, just wait for it.

But maybe sometimes Austin is better than the WME spoon-fed pablum and does want to show that he's got dignity. I hope so. And I'd like to think that Austin does try sometimes to take ahold of the wheel.

I agree, PG. This tweet is classic Austin Nichols. Looks like he wanted to remind people what his twitter voice actually sounded like. Also, quickly posting a pic of lights strung up like a Christmas tree was a clever follow-up to his recycling plea. The big guy can be quite clever when he wants to be.

I also wanted to flashback for just a moment to that Nom dum sim tweet back on Christmas Eve.

Here was a little Didyaknow about that tweet. Funny, this Wilson Tang had an interesting tweet just one day prior to the "Ghaal Family just ate here!" tweet.

Catch that Beach Plum Inn shoutout? And who's the chef at Beach Plum Inn, but Chris Fischer. lol, things can almost get incestuous at times with this family, can't it? ; ) There's all kinds of 6 degrees going on at times.

It takes a village to stay closeted and Jake's connections with the restaurant industry is a recurring theme in the Toothy-Goose love story.

  19. And a love story it is still, I think. It's gotta be. For these two guys to still be together?

Look at that video of Stephen Fry's and listen to him as he talks about what a wonderful thing it is to be in love. I bet we've all been there. Indeed, what an awesome experience it is to be wildly in love.

And these 2 guys found it. And they built upon that foundation. I don't know if it's still "wild" for them, lol. But love changes in degrees and love matures with years. I hope it has for them. The fact that they're still together says a lot. That despite all of this stuff going on for the past 6 years or so, they have endured.

I'm not going to beat up on them all the time. I still love them. I don't like them all the time, but I'm certainly not perfect either. Far from it.

They are so lucky. I wish they realized that. Each guy has both of his parents still living and between them, they have cousins for their kids and a large extended network of family. They have good paying jobs, they get to travel and see the world, stay at incredible places and houses in the trees and right along the oceans and lakes. They can plunk down $100 for a meal and not worry about it the next day.

They're in their early 30's, the best prime time of one's life. They have their health. They have given their kids plenty of playmates just between themselves and a support system that will last the rest of those kids' lives. That is invaluable.

Austin and Jake are so blessed.

And I just hate to see them wasting their time, wasting their youthful good looks because maybe they're losing sleep or losing peace of mind due to the stress of the closet, and wasting money that could be going towards their kids' future or going towards something so much longer lasting than paying off beards and fake twitter accounts.

Those of us here who have lived past the years that Jake and Austin are in right now, we all see it. We see what a waste, what a mistake they're making every time they walk down the sidewalk with one of their beards, every time they pretend to be somewhere they're not.

But every once in awhile, I hope that they'll realize this soon. This love story deserves a happy ending. They are better than this make believe world being woven by WME.

Love is always going to win out over power. Over money. Over fame. Over image. Love is a beautiful thing to see and that's why the Toothy Tile and Grey Goose story doesn't fade. That's why people still talk about it, still mention it in comments on blog posts. Because people remember the look on both Jake and Austin's faces in those Laker photos. Everybody loves love.

People don't remember or glorify bricks of gold. But it is something that people still remember this love story of Tooth and Grey Goose. Jake & Austin should be so happy about that.

  20. Great news about Robin Roberts.

Jake sure has went out of his way to make sure the public and his fans think he spends a lot of time with his nieces. I agree it is a little weird and could be cover. It does make sense.

  21. And I forgot one other thing, maybe the most important thing.

Austin and Jake are so blessed.

    They have each other.

Do they know how many people have gone through life not ending up with a true life partner? No, I don't think people go through life without love from others, but to have that life partner is the ultimate.

Someone that you can grow old with, who knows you and you know them, and they know it all and they still choose to be with you. Someone to read an interesting newspaper article to that no one else cares to hear but your partner will because hey, they're the one sitting across from you at the breakfast table and they have no choice. lol

Someone to see the New Year in with, who has experienced every day life, every birthday, every Christmas, every 4th of July with you.

Someone who will listen to you suffer through a cold. Someone who will still love you even though you walk a little slower now and hey, you have grey hair and your knee or hip hurts in the mornings.

Someone who is going to be there at your side when the sun begins to set for the final time after 50 or 60 years of togetherness.

    What a blessing to have.

  24. Catching up on all the great comments today.

Congratulations to Robin Roberts. I think since her health issues last year, she has been wanting to share this, because she is so grateful for all the things and people she has in her life. I think after the love and support seeing her friend and former colleague Sam Champion received after he came out and was encouraged by it. And that's why we want people to Jake and Austin to come out. Not just how life changing it will be for them, but for others who see what it is like to come out.

I also think it is very interesting that after all this Duck Dynasty controversy that Roberts an gay African American from Louisiana, all of what Phil Robertson was ranting about, yet a nation loves, supports and respects Robin Roberts.
