  1. Gotta love the mirroring. A real sign of intimacy.

  2. Great observation 9:08.

Is there a name we can you this morning?

  3. Austin's long legs.... *DED*

Although I always wonder... how do they run with their sunglasses on... i mean, they are not those designed for "sports" type of glasses, are they? lol.

  4. *sigh*

    Happier and simpler times, indeed.

Sending wishes and a plea out into the universe for their return.

  5. Anybody else having trouble finding the FCC board? Even your link here leads to something different than the usual.

  6. Thanks for requesting that U2 song Destiny.
Also many thanks to Tbs for the links to the Rendition interviews (see previous thread). I hadn't had time to follow up closely on this stuff lately so this info is really appreciated.
And since I'm in thank-you mode... kudos to the OMG team for these great photo-song tributes. I love the way you succeed in swinging the mood gently from dreamy to hilarious, from enthusiastic to melancholic.

I'll be watching FNL's last episode today. I know Austin's not in it yet but I can't wait to have my very fist look at this series. :)

  7. Arriving two threads late to add my comments on the Jonathan Ross interview - yes, a bit awkward, a reaction JR loves to create - but ably handled by Jake giggling and deadpanning alternately. He was a little outside his comfort zone and I noticed he became more Austin-like ("I am confident") than Jake-like ("I am relaxed").

"At this point [in my career ...]": as far as I am concerned, this phrase was the definitive QED to my existence as a tb :)

Please everyone try to catch the Frank Gardner interview when it's aired (27th October) as it's sure to be very interesting.

Cannot understand why Jake is wearing all those clothes in the London pics :) Yesterday was gorgeous!

  8. From the last thread:

Perhaps the layering has more to do with where he was landing than where he was taking off from?

    and

    Special K said...

Not only where he landed but the temperature on the plane as well. Most planes are cool with ac, the layers would let him add or substract as needed.

  9. I like how Jake refers to his character in "Rendition" as a "young buck" in that Entertainment Studios interview. Gee, I wonder where he got that expression.

  10. It's worth clicking this photo to see it larger. Austin's definitely the one engaging here and Jake's listening thoughtfully. They're so together even when there's a space between them. Thanks for posting this, special. It's nice to see the pictures we have of them posted once in a while just because. I really do feel we'll see them together again one day soon, although maybe not willingly as they've definitely closed rank on themselves. :/

scylla, I'm really enjoying your posts today, here and on WFT. :)

  11. "they're so together even when there's a space between them." ITA bltb!

I admit that I took a copy of this picture and shortened the space between them. Just to see them in closer proximity. You can see that they are looking right into the other's eyes. Even behind the dark sunglasses. What a connection.

  12. Your welcome, Frenchy for the links!

Btw, another very interesting interview from Sky News thanks to WDW.

And your welcome, Special for the heads up on the London!Jake pics. :)

  13. Also, love this J&A pic. I hope we see more like it soon. :)

  14. Sorry, one more post, lol. One more interview, again thanks to WDW/IHJ.

  15. I just watched those last interviews. A million thanks again Tbs! And to WDW and IHJ also, of course. :) I almost feel bad about complaining earlier on. :(

I loved it when Douglas begs for stats and pie charts ("I love pie charts"), a tiny bit of comic relief in this very somber story (all the scenes with Omar Mewally are so disturbing).

I'll be seing Rendition next Friday with the same people I took to see Zodiac. We're all looking forward to this film and everybody's ready for long discussions. We just have to make sure that the most vociferous are not abusing the good wine and everything should be ok. ;) :D

I found FNL really good. Solid acting, great atmosphere, interesting characters. I was easily hooked. The first season is now on my shopping list. And I can't wait to see Austin in it. :)

  16. Very encouraging about FNL, Frenchy! I am looking forward to it.

Just finished watching the New England Patriots crush the Cowboys. It is really amazing how much Austin looks like the Patriots QB, Tom Brady. I am hoping for a Jake/Tom Brady sighting when Jake is filming Brothers in Boston.

  17. Thanks for playing the song, it was a great treat to come home to after having to work on a Sunday.

  18. Jake said that he was single for the ladies but not for those 4 men in the band.
People can come up with a hundred different explanations of what Jake said in the JR interview but that is what he said. In plain English.

More important is what he didn't say.

This is a guy who has had two of his closest friends brought into the rumours with him. Both can't be right so one of them at least has false information out there about him. Maybe both.

The National Enquirer told us he is pissed at these rumours.

So when Jake had the opportunity to actually address it, and put a stop to the rumours himself, when he could just easily say 'I'm straight', can all the JIS fans explain to me why he didn't take it?

    ReplyDelete
  19. Very good point AG. So now both Jake and Ausin have had the opportunity to say "I'm straight" and neither one of them did it.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Remember what Milch said,(in reference to JFC) it is not what people say it is what they do.

    ReplyDelete
  21. ITA Ag. Once again Jake chose ambivalence. He's still using the same answer pattern than in past interviews. In a way, no news is good news. ;)

    ReplyDelete
  22. Ok, some kind of "bad news" over at WFT. Does any of you know a Web site called Fanbolt?

Apparently somebody read over there that Austin might not be in FNL and that he was mistaken with another actor.

I have no idea how reliable this site is.

    ReplyDelete
  23. So was Jake modeling Douglas after the escapades of his young buck friend AN? Or ... the other way around? Eh eh

    ReplyDelete
  24. I think you have a very good point, AG. Staying in closet or coming out, Jake's decision will always affect those rumoured to be with him.

And every time the rumour mill touches Chris, we'd hear that he got upset. That makes me believe that Chris really is an innocent bystander and a civilian that Jake and his family think he shouldn't be dragged into that.

And you're spot on... both Austin and Jake have numerous chances to simply say, "I'm flattered, but I'm straight". but they didn't.

Honestly, after everything Jake has done to show that he's gay friendly, I don't think the gay community would really mind if he clearly says he's straight. So JIS argument about Jake doesn't want to upset the gay fans is not valid. (actually, i have gay friends who told me he'd find Jake even hotter if he's straight - *rolls eyes*)

    ReplyDelete
  25. Still many more interviews to come over the next week. Jake may go further in denials. Or stay ambivalent. Right now what is it about the words "I'm straight" that seem to stick in his craw? Plenty of other actors have said those words. Either he is ultra-sensitive to the offence it may cause to gay people or he can't bring himself to lie completely.

  26. "Mirror, Mirror

Here's another way to test how well you're getting along with someone. If you're in tune with the person you're speaking to you'll often find you unconsciously mirror each other's body postures. So, if you rest your hand on your chin, the other person will follow you. If he or she leans forwards you'll find yourself making the same move and so on."

We know Jake and Austin are in tune at least. :-) Did anyone notice the following in the laker pictures:

"People that fancy other people often touch themselves where they would like to touch the other person (for example, stroking legs), keeping their bodies pointing towards the object of desire. Eye contact is held slightly longer than usual, sideways glances and smiling are all common....wiping imaginary dust off the other person's clothes, leaning forwards towards the other and standing or sitting closer together than normal are all signs of attraction...Feet play an important part in communication too. As a general rule, if you are standing or sitting and are attracted to someone (whether or not you are talking to them) your feet will be pointing in their direction....If men are attracted to someone, they occasionally play with one of their ear lobes.

  29. Wasn't the article covering Austin in FNL given by one of the producers? So I'm pretty sure they know who they hired.

She also said Austin was turning up soon after the premiere so that could by this week, next week.

Austin could still have episodes to film. He might not appear in 5 straight.
