2008.02.20 Interview ADN424.JBG

You've got to be kidding me?
Him, they want him naked?

What about me? I look good.
I work out. Look at these guns,
what does he have?

The bathroom scene? Hey I got a hot babe.
He looks like a doofus with his pants down around his ankles.
Look at that face. Who could love that ?

And look at him in bed. Who sucks their thumb?
I am waking up after 2 hours of sleep.

How do I know so much about him?
That's classified.

Jealous?

  3. He does bltb. but he looks goofy in the first one lol.

  4. The first one he looks like a goofy scary robert deniro hitman from a scorcese film.

  5. Nothing beats the pic of Jake waking up all shirtless and biceps flexing in Rendition. So sexy...

    ReplyDelete
  6. Jake looks like Joaquin Phoenix in that last still.

    Take that back!

    ReplyDelete
  7. Rattler, you said, "The same should be true for the critics."

Why do you think I said Jake's human, like the rest of us. We are all in the same boat. None of us are above criticism.

    ReplyDelete
  8. Great photo choices, Special. That first photo of Jake is hilarious. And I absolutely love Austin sucking his thumb.

    ReplyDelete
  9. I am loving the Rendition soundtrack! I highly recommend it!

    ReplyDelete
  10. What IS Austy up to right now?

    ReplyDelete
  11. Austin did resurface just enough for the missing posters to be taken down, but I think he is back doing deep cover for the moment.

Haven't seen an mentions of new projects for him. Here's hoping we hear he's doing a new project. And soon! Too talented not to be in demand.

We will see him in the audience at tomorrow's Obama/Clinton debate on the UT Campus in Austin?

    ReplyDelete
  12. Compare that first shirtless Austy pic with the one of him on the toilet. Looks like Austy has bulked up?

    ReplyDelete
  13. We will see him in the audience at tomorrow's Obama/Clinton debate on the UT Campus in Austin?

If we do, will he be alone?

    ReplyDelete
  14. Such a cute post! *

    ReplyDelete
  15. According to this blogger, the Yes We Can video for Barack Obama that Austin appears in has received over 6 million hits since being released.

I have been wondering how Austin got involved in this project. Will.i.am said he asked some friends and they asked some friends and so on, so I'm curious about who might have asked Austin.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Wow, six million hits seems like a lot for a political video. And I've wondered how Austin got involved too. Since I don't even know who most of the people in the video are, I am clueless as to any connection they may have to Austin.

I'm hoping Austin will show up in Milch's new series, but that could be awhile yet. I suspect that after the "rush" they did on JFC that this time around Milch/HBO may take more time in putting this series together.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Regarding how A got involved in the Obama video:
I tried to figure this out a while ago before getting sidetracked by something else. I noticed that Tatyana Ali was in Glory Road so that's one possible connection.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Yea I read that about R a long time ago. She says she also a vegetarian. Dining with her (she said she has one adult meal a day, the rest of the meals are baby food) must be loads o fun for Jakey. And what about his love of food and cooking? Wasted.

    ReplyDelete
  19. I saw Reese on Leno and while peeps say she has great legs, I say they look like toothpicks. Really, how does she stand on those things? It's gross, you can see the bones. Like skin strecthed over bones. Creepy.

    ReplyDelete
  20. As expected, it would seem that all this Reeking may not have had the desired effect on the DVD release of Rendition. Taking amazon as a gauge of public spending, Rendition is currently sitting at number 31, just below the truly dreadful No Reservations. Maybe not the desired result.

Oh, and the baby food diet is just gross.

    ReplyDelete
  21. And how is "Penelope" doing out there?

    ReplyDelete
  22. Not brilliantly, although not maybe as badly as it could have done, but then James McAvoy is very much the 'it boy' at the moment. Current takings are £2.3 million, that's $4.6 million of your american dollars (its a very good exchange rate at the moment). Can't see it doing much more.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Penelope is opening nationwide February 29th here in the US.

    ReplyDelete
  24. You are taking out of context every single word Reese says just because it has become your 'sport' to attack her and make her look like a pathetic ulgy silly gal which I guess jusdging by your growing hate he is not. Everyone who has 1 or 2 kids completely understands what she meant.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Sorry, yes that is UK box office only.

    ReplyDelete
  26. . . . .James McAvoy is very much the 'it boy' at the moment.

I still have to see Atonement.
I'll bet I'm the only one who didn't love "The Last King of Scotland." I did love Forrest Whitaker's performance in it, he absolutely was the character of Idi Amin, it was uncanny. So deserving of the Best Actor award. The cinematography was beautiful in it as well. James McAvoy's character I didn't like at all, thought he was a jerk and eeded to grow up a little. ;)

    ReplyDelete
  27. ^^Sorry, that should read "needed".

    ReplyDelete
  28. Uh, I've got two kids and I neither understand, nor agree. That is if you're talking about the bullying remark. Of course, as a single sivorced mother, I haven't agreed with much of what Reese has done for over a year. Not that she needs my approval, but what chaps my hide is when people who've never been through the turmoil and tribulations of a divorce can cause, sometimes years after the initial event, throw out excuse after excuse in a lame attempt to excuse her selfish behavior, and their own neediness to explain, any crazy, weak, and illinformed way they can, her complicity in Reeke.

Just stop, please. Ava and Deacon are the ones I truly pity, for they are unwitting pawns in this quest for publicity and image.

    ReplyDelete
  29. ^^It may all be over soon.

All these statements are what I mean about J&R seeming to be incompatible. The way Jake supposedly loves to cook and dine out, you could take it one step further and assume he love to eat as well. Reese only eating babyfood must be a killjoy.

Then, her comments about not wanting to do nude scenes. If they are not gratuitous and add realism to the story, or if nudity is used in a symbolic way, what is wrong with it? There's nothing wrong with it.

Among other things, Jake needs a partner in his life who likes to eat and likes to be nude, do we know anyone like that? ;)

    ReplyDelete
  30. Just thinking about the Obama vid and I wondered if Adam Rodriguez might be the connection? He was in Thanks to Gravity and that CSI ep with Austin.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Whut did Reese say she wouldn't do nude scenes?

    listing/ReeseWitherspoon/index.html

    ReplyDelete
  32. that bio also says she was a cheerleader and a debutante. So she was bullied a lot. yea riiiiight.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Wow, six million hits seems like a lot for a political video.

I know not a lot about these things, but it does, doesn't it? I think it really reflects the upsurge in popularity Obama's enjoying right now. I read somewhere that many more people are Googling Obama than are Googling Hillary, and that he is one of the most popular Google searches.

    ReplyDelete
  34. I find it funny that Out of Context brought up the topic of Reese and the bullying when no one was discussing it here at all. Live up to your name much?

    ReplyDelete
  35. jake gooberballs said:

    Take that back!

    Ch'yeah, right! Make me! ;)

    ReplyDelete
  36. ironic, you must be joking, since I did not even mention the bullying but guess what, everyone else is? So I think you are the one who lives up to your name. It is pathetic that a site about Jake and Austin, even on a post truly cute and funny like this would be wasted on making baby food remarks about Reese and getting all happy because her movie is not doing well, etc. Look at the thread and see how many posts are about Reese. It used to be all taken over by Reeke comments, now it is not even about Reeke is about Reese. Who tf cares if her movie does well or not? And single mom, give-me-a-break, get down your high horse, it is dangerous to be up there.

    ReplyDelete
  37. WTF?? outofcxt's 5:30 post talked only about Reese, went on about Reese, defended Reese, rattled about Reese. so who's pathetic? ROTFLMAO

sorry Spesh and Wicked. I wont feed the ironic hideously transparent pathetic hypocrite lying angry trolls anymore. thats a promise.

    ReplyDelete
  38. oh one more thing, I'm waiting to see if outofcxt is gonna post another long diatribe all about about Reese. Ya know, be defending Reese, talking about Reese, how Reese is misunderstood, going on about Reese and then be telling people this is a Jake and Austin blog and no one should talk about Reese and if they do then they are pathetic. Lets see if outofcxt can work their way outta the box they put themselves into on this one.

    LOL

okay, back to my promise. :*

    ReplyDelete
  39. Everyone who has 1 or 2 kids completely understands what she meant.

That's not you referencing Reese's bullying comment when no one else was talking about it?

    ReplyDelete
  40. Everyone who has 1 or 2 kids completely understands what she meant.

gimme a break, maybe outofcxt meant that everyone who has 1 or 2 kids is on the baby food diet and eats 1 adult meal a day.

Yea, I know so many parents who do that. *rolls eyes*

    LOL

    ReplyDelete
  41. I have been away on a vacation to spain the last eight days toghether with my mom, my oldest daugter and my mother`s friend with her two grandchildren.
Love is so strange, isn`t it?
We arrived home today, me and my daughter, looking so much forward to meet our husband/father, son/brother and daughter7little sister. We really enjoyed seeing them again....still here we are, crying because we miss the two other kids. The girl is fifteen while the boy is twelve. My girl is eight. The fifteen and twelve year-old live pretty far away from us. I went climbing with the girl in the mountains and played pool with the boy( he cheated on himself to help me win so the game could continue :) In every photo i have taken, the kids had eachothers arms around oneanother. They just clicked. So fun to see. Even though i had to tell all of them enough was enough, we had a lot of fun.
Yes, love is strange, and love is individual. Nothing to do with this site...well, it actually has because i can share everything with you guys, can`t i?

    ReplyDelete
  42. Nothing to do with this site...well, it actually has because i can share everything with you guys, can`t i?

    Sweet!

    ReplyDelete
  43. Wow sounds like you had a great time NG. I've heard Spain is very beautiful. I have been likely enough to have been to Portugal which was also very pretty and the people were extremely nice and the men were hot.

Sure seems like Ted is giving Jakey/Toothy a little vacation. Must be a reason. Wonder what the heck it could be? I am not sure whether it has to do with Heath or not?

    ReplyDelete
  44. Good to hear from you NG, I enjoyed reading such a sweet story.

    ReplyDelete
  45. What a difference a busy day at the office makes; no time to post until now!

(...) and played pool with the boy, he cheated on himself to help me win so the game could continue :)

Nice to hear about your vacation NG. Everybody I know who went to Spain fell in love with that country. BTW, my nephew does the same with me! He knows I love playing pool but since I'm totally hopeless at the game yet a very gracious loser (no kidding here folks!) he often let me play some more so I can catch up with him. It never works of course and he always ends up winning but we have a lot of fun together. :)

Lovely post Special. I love to think that now I'll be able to freeze frame those very sexy Rendition scenes (ha! ha!).

    ReplyDelete
  46. I just remembered there's a lunar eclipse tonight; I'll try to catch some of it.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Well, so much for outdoor eclipse watching. Are woodstoves and fireplaces a problem in you neighborhood? My neighbor has a wood stove and we couldn't stay outside for more than a few minutes before choking because of the smoke. I wish pollution control devices were mandatory for those heating systems! :(

    ReplyDelete
  48. We are all in the same boat.

Sorry, Wicked, I do not get your point. I fail to see why I should be in the same boat with Jake Gyllenhaal. As a matter of fact, I am not even in the same boat with Barack Obama, Yo Yo Ma or Sabri Kahla. We are all humans but the lives we lead are completely different. It is one thing to stand right in front of them and criticize their actions, which is in complete contrast with hiding ourselves under assumed names and go ballistic with criticisms. Journalists, political commentators and art critics often make scathing remarks - but they do adequate research and often meet/interview the person before they form an opinion.
I feel more comfortable in criticizing your comment because I think we, indeed, are in the same boat - with a common interest: OMG and Jaustin. I believe that there is a greater possibility that my life is closer to you (or Special/Stubborn/Frenchy) than Jake Gyllenhaal. And as we all know, we always express our disagreements with mutual respect.

    ReplyDelete
  49. we see you right thru, gimme a break, gerber are you the same person by any chance? Because the tone sure is the same and the absolute determination to steer discussion over Reese and her parental skills and her diet is as well. If I agree with you that reese is the lowest of human life will you stop talking about her? Please, it is BORING!

    ReplyDelete
  50. Its funny, but it looks like one of the sponsors(?) for the premiere of Penelope is none other than Grey Goose. Bet Austy's not too pleased about that.

    http://justjared.buzznet.com/2008/02/20/reese-witherspoon-penelope-premiere/

    ReplyDelete
  51. 'bored out of my mind': if you read the posts you'd see that me, gimme a break & gerber were responding to 'outofcxt' WHO WAS GOING ON ABOUT REESE. duh.

so before you jump and attack the wrong people for wrong reasons why dontcha read things thru first and a second time to make sure? Me having to clarify a simple easy to understand previous post is, to use your words "BORING!"

    Jeeze.

    ReplyDelete
  52. FYI, Dr Parnassus stopped by WFT tonight. Worth reading. I could not possibly paraphrase. Besides, his pithy words are the main event.

Can we have a rule that in addition to deleting anon comments, we delete Reese only comments. At least Reeke includes Jake. I checked the price of Rendition on Amazon tonight, just in case I decide to buy. The first search page that came up listed 5 of the actors in the movie, but not Jake. A sign of the times.

    ReplyDelete
  53. OT Penelope premier FY pics: Cristina Ricci looks very very good, what has she done? Looks sexy & mature, great face. James Mcavoy looks bored out of his mind.

    ReplyDelete
  54. James McAvoy looks (quite rightly) just plain embarassed.

    ReplyDelete
  55. With regards to the baby food diet, Jake is a product of HW where they all are on diets and watching what they eat.
So I don't believe he would even bat an eyelid.

Also, is it really that weird? I mean she's still eating food.

I'm a little late with the Reeke demise prediction but I'll say two years or so. It will end when Reese gets sick of it and is ready to date for real again so I'd give it about two years.

That's only if she maintains some kind of okay reputation though. If it keeps going down, could be two months.

    ReplyDelete
  56. ag sorry but yeah it is that wierd.

    ReplyDelete
  57. Two years would cross a line from ordinary bearding into erasing a life. I don't think it'll be that long. It can't end in March because of R's birthday.

Not into Reese-only posts myself, it seems the wrong place, and causes rows.

    ReplyDelete
  58. Isn't baby food supposed to make the baby grow and *gain* weight?

    ReplyDelete
  59. So Jake doesn't have a say about Reeke?

    ReplyDelete
  60. Sorry, Wicked, I do not get your point. I fail to see why I should be in the same boat with Jake Gyllenhaal.

We are all in the same boat Rattler, because we are all human and we all make mistakes. And none of us are above being criticized. I thought you were advocating for no criticism of Jake whatsoever in your original post. I'm not interested in having a board where Jake is some kind of sacred cow and cannot be criticized here at OMG.

Can we have a rule that in addition to deleting anon comments, we delete Reese only comments.

I don't want to do this, but I want to hear from others on this subject. I don't want to be a censor. It's just too much work. No comments on this, no comments on that, where does it end? I understand there are people who don't want to talk about her. I do feel Reese has become part of Jake's story and as such, some people are interested in what she does.

    ReplyDelete
  61. Reese attends the Penelope premiere by herself. Ah!

    ReplyDelete
