They laugh alike, They walk alike, At times they even talk alike

So is staff of One Tree Hill reading OMG or Ted .... after this you might wonder.

Back on March 2 OMG had a post about Ted's answer that the Goose and Brian Austin Green have a similar look. (Hey it's ok, if you don't remember it was a busy day that day ... we had people bike riding in the middle of it ) So let's recap - Remember this?

Seems like Toothy likes Type A or is that a type? And I'm not talking about the production company or who takes it on the chin for there. But it does look like Ted might have been a little on the money with one of his clues about Toothy tooth and his type.

Dear Ted:
Your column is fab—I look forward to reading it every day at work! Just wondering—is Toothy Tile, Brian Austin Green?
Curious in Calabasas

Dear Matchmaker:
No, but BAG could be his type.

Jury has Ted Casablanca proven a case of typecasting?

Exhibit A.1

Exhibit A.2

What is your verdict? Yea or Nay?

So what does this have to do with One Tree Hill?

EW.com is now reporting that Brian Austin Green is ironing out a few details, but it's pretty much a done deal for him to be Clayton, Nathan's Jerry McGuire type sports agent in Season 7 of OTH. The newest cast member of One Tree Hill. Seriously? They are going to cast two guys that look that similar without some twist for OTH version 2.0? And where would they get that idea? Hmmmmmmmm

Now Mark Schwann can't use brothers from another mother, he did that already with Lucas and Nathan. So what can he do?

Separated twins from birth? It worked for Schwarzneggar and Devito. And Tia and Tamera on Sister Sister. Would one be the bad twin?

A twist on My Two Dads as Our Two Dads in One Tree Hill? And stunt cast Gregory Harrison and Greg Evigan as their disapproving Papas who confront their shared Mama?

One Tree Doppelganger? And then stunt cast Shane West to come on the show as the same doppelganger for the both of them?

Or just Patty Duke it out and make Julian and Clayton - almost identical cousins who will both go after Brooke, and all single ladies on the show? But who will be Cathy dorkier of the cousins?

  2. Talk about another coincidence, there's a story on Huffington Post on what makes people happy. It says that once people have enough money to meet their basic needs, more money doesn't make a difference. What matters are relationships with family and friends, and a sense of being part of a community.

I would guess that most people living in the closet don't have a sense of community, or not one that makes them happy.

  3. Pictures of Adam Lambert and his boyfriend, holding hands, are all over the web today, so I guess he is now officially out. They make a cute couple.

Great post re the resemblance. The guy in the french garden had a similar look too as I recall.

  4. Adam and Drake are really cute together. Good for them :)

  5. I am still puzzled why OTH would hire two guys who look so much alike unless they has some kind of twist in mind.

Would they break up Julian and Brooke and have her rebound with Clay just to have Julian say look even your rebound guy is me?

It will be interesting to hear about the fans in Wilmington, I bet there will be a lot of mistaken identity sightings between them. Hmmmm you know ... that could work to Austin's advantage. Hmmmm....

  6. It is strange they'd hire two that look alike, but then I thought Austin kind of looked like Chad Michael Murray, especially in the first episode when Austin had short hair. Maybe they just have a casting director who has a certain type? ;)

  7. Ever have one of those days where just everything is irritating. Everything is annoying me today. If you're having a bad day, it's best to stay away from our office copier. What a joke it is. I hear the one in the front admin. office is even worse. Would love to drop kick it into next year.
Anybody seen The Office where that guy tussles with the fax machine?

But, never fear! I have the best story that caught my eye on cnn.com awhile ago. I'll put it up right here.

NEW ORLEANS – Hurricane Katrina pulled a pair of best friends apart.
But nearly four years later, fate and a whole lot of persistence have brought a dog and his owner back together. That whole time, Jessie Pullins was desperately searching for his best friend and dog, J.J.
    Pullins never stopped looking.
"I never did think he was dead because I figured J.J. to be a survivor just like I was,” Pullins said.
Pullins evacuated for the storm, but he said he couldn't take J.J.
"So I made adequate provisions in the back part of my house in an elevated area and when I left, I thought I would be back in a day, maybe two,” Pullins said. “But unfortunately we were not allowed to come back in for several weeks.”
In the meantime an animal rescue group found and took J.J., and even took note of the address he was rescued from. But despite that, he was passed from one animal group to the next and was eventually put up for adoption in California.
"They adopted an animal, really not knowing this dog belonged to somebody and some miscommunication happened where they didn't know,” said Mindy Bryan with the Katrina Animal Reunion Team.
Pullins found out about three years ago, but what followed was a messy legal battle in California. Pullins sued to get his dog back.
"The woman who adopted him moved with him, so we kinda lost him again,” said Janet Taylor, a volunteer with the Katrina Animal Reunion Team.
Jessi has been fighting his legal battles from right here in New Orleans, but the group Katrina Animal Reunion Team has helped him every step of the way. They even found a California lawyer who was willing to take on the case for free.
"I could feel and tell what a good person he was and how much he loved and missed his dog, and I knew he wasn't going to give up. And I knew I wouldn't give up,” Taylor said.
J"Right now I'm real, real excited, I'm probably a bunch of nerves,” Pullins said just moments away from the reunion he's been waiting for. “But I am just trying to hold it together.”
But he didn't have to wait for very long.
They've spent nearly four years apart – 28 if you're counting by dog years. But their love is just as strong.
"It's been a long road, but we did it,” Pullins said. “You know I wasn't giving up on ya’, cause I knew you weren't giving up on me."
And an excited J.J. walked right out to his even more excited master, who holds no grudges against J.J.'s former owner.
"Everybody falls in love with J.J. He's lovable. I don't fault them
ust recently the woman who adopted J.J. decided to give him back.
"Right now I'm real, real excited, I'm probably a bunch of nerves,” Pullins said just moments away from the reunion he's been waiting for. “But I am just trying to hold it together.”

  8. Just a little side note. We're not the only ones who rant on our blogs. I guess someone made a negative comment about the owner leaving his dog behind and several comments are trying to defend the owner. Also, someone else got on there and said that someone always has to put up a negative comment and to "Get a life" or "take some meds".

lol. Guess it's not just HW blogs that have these same kind of comments.

It is a wonderfully uplifting story just because they were reunited. The owner never, ever gave up. Boy, after 4 years, I bet I would have. I just don't know how on earth I could've sailed away, leaving my dog behind. I feel so bad for those people; how horrible a memory to have.

    But, happy story! happy ending!
Thanks to that Rescue group who helped him and also that lawyer who offered his services for free.

  9. It's so thrilling to see Adam holding hands with his boyfriend. You don't see that much even with other out celebrity couples. He is so comfortable with who is, and so proud to be out showing off his boyfriend. Sigh.

  10. I had seen that bit of news on Brian Austin Green on Just Jared, Special, and remembered you posting something about him & Austin looking a bit alike.

JJ also had a post on Sophia Bush. I don't get on JJ every day but does it seem like they've been having several posts on OTH regulars? Have they always? I wonder if the day would come next year if Austin will ever warrant a Just Jared post of his own? Wouldn't that be something.

  11. Awww, nice story PG. I've had an insane day too, the kind where I just wish I could close my door and stretch out on the floor for some yoga or something to get my rythm back.

Another thing about Adam that I know we've talked about here before, the way people just glow with happiness when they're out. And I know I find that infectious, and it draws me even more to someone like Adam, or NPH who hadn't given too much thought to before he came out.

    ReplyDelete
  12. ROFLMAO PG! I don't know which one I liked best, the fence-climbing or wrestling with Reese.

JJ often has stuff on Sophia, but I don't recall seeing much about other cast members. She definitely gets out there to promote herself, but in a good way, I think.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Phew. That was fun. Wish I could come up with some more. I'd love to write the rest of the article on that Farmers Market or Fence Climbing story. That'd be a hoot.

Well, guess I need to get back to the ol' oar rowing. What a drag today. I think I'm having a bit of pre-vacation impatient jitters.

Plus, my lil buddy is on the big V this week, so that really adds to things being kinda boring.

I haven't seen any of these pictures of Adam yet, Destiny, but that sounds pretty awesome. I can't wait to see them. Good for him.

Well, Destiny, it's been you & me, kid. I hope you have a great afternoon!! At least you guys don't have our stupid copier.

Special, I've had no mail yet today, so I say if I don't have anything by the end of the day, let's share that little bit of news, even though I didn't ask it right and we're right back where we started in the first place. lol
Naw, I think it's in answer to the first question. Do you want to? I think it'd be kinda cool.

Okay, well, where is everyone today, besides Dest? Let's not hope it's quiet before a mini storm or something. That would be just typical.

Whoop, there's the crabbiness again! lol. Well, that's cause lunch is over. Yogurt's gone. All that's in the ol' snack food cube is a half bag of pretzels, a bunch of Crystal Lite flavors for water, and some chocolate/peppermint coated spoons from Christmas.
Zilch! Nada! Zero! A big fat nothing fun to eat! Boring!!
Can someone send me a virtual Klondike bar? Or a Dove ice cream bar? Or a bag of Funyuns?

I'm still here, just busy right now. I am on the road all next week on business so getting my work done ahead as much as possible. That plus a bit of catch-up from the May vacation leaves me too tired to do much else. Should be back to commenting as usual by July 1.

Hey, think it's safe now to share with all fellow OMG'ers. I have joined the Club of One (namely JerseyTom) in those who have heard back from Ted. No, my email's not gotten published, but I did get an email from His Casablancadness. I was just getting kind of fed up with his vanilla, tapioca pudding comments lately and tried to call him out on it. Here's what I sent to Ted back on Wed, 5/27:

Ted, you seem to have done a big 5K walk backwards from 1) the existance of Baby Tile and 2) the phoniness of TT and his fauxmance with ladybeard. Do you have the guts to 1) admit Baby Tile was as made up as the story Harold & the Big Purple Crayon and 2) that maybe, just maybe, you've been had & bought, thus your 2009 TT Drought and in fact, what can only be called a total withdrawal from the fighting lines. Signed, Brave Enough to Call You Out on It

My first initial response I got right away:

Thanks mucho for emailing Ted Casablanca. He's a busy dude,
and he's going to do his friggin' best to get back to ya.
And thanks again for the email--even if you're a meanie.

Hey, the last & only other time I tried to send something in, I didn't even get that!

Next post, I'll put up what he answered me with. Now, I have to put a little "xxx" where he typed my name because, well, I'm embarrassed about my real name, LOL!

    ReplyDelete
  22. Okay, then on Fri, 5/29, I got home late that night to find this waiting in my email mailbox:

    Hey XXX, nice try.

    Nope. They’re real.

    Have a great weekend,

    TC

Now, you know I was chomping at the bit so I had to call Special right away & risk waking her up cause it was kind of late. And I was all flabberghasted. But as Wicked pointed out to me, you can tell I'm pretty green around the gills, unlike Tom, who was able to put his question in a way that Ted could only directly reply with no doubt as to what he was answering to. With mine, well, you can see what I did wrong.

However, since Ted told me, "Nice Try", I do believe he was calling me out on my snarkiness and telling me that yeah, BT is real, but by saying "they're", he's saying there's more than one BT.

What do you guys tink? Oops, I mean think!! lol, I'm nervous, you can tell.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Well, it was time to send another question back to him to see if I could get a clearer answer, but heavy sigh, no hear back from the Tedmeister. Special helped me out with my reply question to his reply answer. And I messed it up again! lol. I'm lousy at this, you can tell.

    I emailed:

In response to your response, when I go out this weekend to hit up on the ol' Tar 'get, do I need to be shopping for a couple of onesie's or a couple of candlesticks?

    Signed,
    Pushing It

(I edited a bit out of the beginning of my email.)

One of those BT's is supposed to be walking by now, I think. So I screwed it up by saying a pair of onsies. You guys know what a onsie is?
LOLL! Maybe that's why I haven't heard from him. Ted doesn't know what that is!

Naw...he's probably just wanting to say, "Man, if you can't figure that out, you're just a mess and I'm not helping you out any further".

Oh well, gave it the ol' college try, anyway. Sorry, guys, I didn't get a better answer out of him!

But it is kind of cool to get an email from him.

    :-D

    ReplyDelete
  24. That is cool PG. I've sent a few questions in over the years, and I've never gotten a direct reply.

And the first thing that grabbed my attention was
"they're". Could be a reference to two of them, while making you think he's Reeke is real. But if Ted really knows BT or multiple BTs are real, why doesn't he answer the most basic questions--the sex of BT. I bet a lot of people have asked that question.

Meanwhile, Ted deserves a swift kick for being so down on Adam Lambert. Hand-holding and being seen out and about with your boyfriend isn't enough? And with everyone talking about some of the limitations on talking coming from the AI contract. Sometimes it feels like Ted likes to dump on out gay men, like he did with Gaiken.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Dear Ted:
I do love your blog, I read it every day, and I love the Blind Vices, so I was wondering, is Dommy Do Right Katherine Heigl and is Toothy T.R. Knight?
    —R. Castela

    Dear Way Off:
Sorry, but T.R. is out of the closet, so he can't be Toothy! As for Kath, right hair color, but wrong bad 'tude gal.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Yeah, I'm pretty green as you can tell, Destiny. I didn't phrase it very well. Maybe I can try again, tho.

Either a BT question or better yet, a Grey Goose question. Need to pin him a little harder to the wall on Grey Goose.

    ReplyDelete
  27. I think Ted is hard to pin because he doesn't have answers anymore. So don't worry about your question, he might not have answered it if you'd left him less wiggle room.

    ReplyDelete
  28. I told PG when she told me about the email, that I thought the response was about BT or dos Baby t's, when he answered her question.

I don't think Ted could tell the sex, because if there are two baby tiles then there could be one of each. Also I think Ted would just tell just enough without putting anyone in a precarious position, he may not be thrilled with what Toothy is doing, but Ted doesn't want to put anyone innocent in harms way either.

Was on OTH fan site with a Austin thread and there were mention of gay rumors and Jake, and it was quickly dismissed with the sentiment ...well if he dated and Sophia and Jake is with Reese... then he's not.

    ReplyDelete

  31. WASHINGTON (AP) - Former Vice President Dick Cheney said Monday he supports gays being able to marry but believes states, not the federal government, should make the decision.

"I think, you know, freedom means freedom for everyone," Cheney said in a speech at the National Press Club. "I think people ought to be free to enter into any kind of union they wish, any kind of arrangement they wish."

Cheney, who has a gay daughter, said marriage has always been a state issue.

"And I think that's the way it ought to be handled today, that is, on a state-by-state basis. Different states will make different decisions. But I don't have any problem with that. I think people ought to get a shot at that," he said.

  32. Talking about weddings. Loved this from the Improv Everywhere group (yes the same ones who organized the No Pants Subway Ride, The Slo Mo Home Depot, and the "extra help" of the blue shirt brigade at Best Buy.)

This is a a surprise wedding reception for a random couple who went to the NY City Clerks office to get married. They had no idea what they were in for but they just said yes and enjoyed.

  33. Prairie Girl, based on the way the questions were worded, I think Ted is saying they are real - 1. Baby Tile is real and 2. the phoniness of the fauxmance is real.
