Give 'em the boot

Jake was sporting some hot kicks when he was out with PoP's Pop but trades them for something a little more subdued. The boot. More specifically the Delta Lace Up Work Boot.

The Delta Work Boot is made from smoked chocolate cordovan leather. Our most durable boot features antique brass eyelets and waxed cotton laces and a unique flex sole that simultaneously allows for comfort and durability. Detailed by heavy double stitching and back leather pull-tabs, the Delta boot measures 8” from top to bottom. Hand made in Italy.

Yes you read it right. Cordovan, Cordovan, Cord-o-van.

For you all the long timers you know my deal about the cordovan shoes. (no I am not doing a cordovan dance...I have a modicum of decorum left...ha!)

And where to get the new boots? Billy Reid's, "Men's and Women's southern-bred luxury clothing, shoes, and leather", as their description says. And peek through the door and the website you see plenty of plaids and some epaulettes... hmmm sounds like? As time goes by you see ..... with all the little things.

Did you just call me Jethro?

  2. Dear Ted:
Tedster! If you were going to a costume party this Halloween, which Blind Vice would you go as? I definitely don't see you as Toothy, but could you handle Crotch-uh Lastic? (Hehhehheh—I'll just bet you could!)

    Dear Letter of the Day:
Since I'm stupidly smoking again, you know, engaging in crap that isn't good for me, Morgan Mayem, of course.

    Dear Ted:
It's an ideal world where every one of your gay or bisexual Blind Vices have come proudly out of the closet. Who is Middle America most surprised about?

    Dear Yeah, Right:
Just because I grew up in Texas doesn't mean I'm an idiot.

  3. Dear Ted:
Writing to you here from Ireland. Thank you for filling us in here on all the real gossip in L.A. OK, one quick question, something seems very wrong with Jake Gyllenhall being with Reese Witherspoon.
    —Dutch

    Dear Loaded Question:
What about Gyllenspoon rubs you the wrong way? I'd love to hear it.

    Awful Truth

  4. i really like jake's new boots. i love boots and had a real jones going for the old beat-up black ones he used to wear all the time. i think he looks great in boots and jeans and casual, semi-rugged clothes.

i also kinda like his haircut. maybe it's a little harsh (?) but i think he looks great, and it's nice to see him with his dad. i hope they are back on good terms, if they fell out for a while. it looks like they are friendly in these pics. they have good body language. =D

  6. Thanks for info on the hate crimes signing. Another step in the right direction.

I like Jake's hair for this movie. He's had some really bad (and self admittedly by Jake) movie hair.

Jake's not the only one who likes a good boot. Austin has his own favs too. And the ones he was wearing in he CW promo pictures reminded me of Jake's old ones.

  7. Looks like Jake had a fun time with Elmo. Glad to see he finally got a new pair of boots. He changes his tennis shoes constantly but those boots had been around forever.

I swear that Ted question about Jake has appeared before. I don't want to spend time looking for it, but I have a pretty good memory for such things. Even the answer what rubs you the wrong way- sounds familiar. Maybe they cut back on the number of interns he has helping out.

Another big windstorm here in CA, yesterday and today, creating havoc. No rain, just a strong north wind. A real mess to clean up.

  13. The cover for Lambert's album is atrocious, BTW. Looks like a commercial for a cheap eyeliner. A bit of originality and some serious talent would help. Not even close to say a Boy George of 25 years ago.
