Plaids and Pop Pop

Something looking a little similar?Funny how that happens over time. Spend your day in trailers somewhere warm. Start dressing alike. Soon it's regular early bird specials. ; )

Must the admit the thought of matching plaid suits is too too much. (shudder)

It was great to see Jake in the City and out with his dad doing a little shoe shopping and enjoying an espresso. But why didn't he save it for when he's out shopping and having coffee with the farmer/tiny dancer/perfumer? Take too long, I bet and not a tenth as fun. That's right's its all about soft furnishings now.

Funny how much has changed from one Columbus Day to the next. Last year's was lingerie in London and this year sofas in Soho. Guess the bloom is off, (yawn) Ironically it's now the name of her perfume. (Life is the best comedy)

Jake is looking great, and great to see that smile. Looks like he is making the most of being East Coast based. Here's another question - why look for a sofa in Soho for a place in Cali? I mean can you imagine the shipping on that? LOL

Someone posted the link earlier, gamers were giving a preview of PoP that will be a trailer for 2012 with Ben Kingsley getting his evil on, Jake and Gemma, and a glowing dagger. The words Indiana Jones is now added to the list of commonalities along with Lawrence of Arabia. If Mike Newell creates combination of the epic of Arabia and the comic wink of Indy with swagger and the adventure of both along with a great cast and stunning visuals, wow now that some kind of PoP.

Many have said the Roland Emmerich's 2012 is the Day after The Day After Tomorrow except without Jake. Now that the PoP is a trailer for 2012 its a little bit Jake AND Roland destroying the world again, sneak in a nip of Wild Turkey and you could have a trifecta of TDAT.

No doubt the trailer will find its way online before the second showing on 2012's opening day.

  1. Cute post today, love the early bird special. ;)

Austin looks awesome in his plaid suit, looking forward to the PoP trailer.

  2. cough

"Jake", I guess your check got to Perez on time this month. :-D

Austin's hair in the plaid suit reminds me of Eraserhead. I find the picture a little scarey.

  3. I think Austin looks kind of retro and cute.

Let's try to separate what's really bothering us from just tearing down everyone and everything, shall we? :)

  4. It does sort of look Lynchian, but it's still interesting looking, I think, and cute.

The current state of affairs that you are angry about Destiny isn't Jake nor Austin's fault. It's sad that Jake is used as a scapegoat for people's unhappiness and negative feelings. I could understand it if we knew for sure he was gay, but we don't, at least I don't. If he isn't behaving the way we would like, that's too bad, it's his right. We can always look to someone else, but let's call it like it is.

    LOL!

  6. at least I don't

No need to bore other people with YOUR problem.

  7. There is no problem - I'm just calling it like I see it. Constant derision of people's comments and nastiness - just because you may have issues doesn't excuse or give a free pass for bad behaviour in my books, and I think it should be called out. Grow up. Nobody said life was perfect. Now it's carried over to Austin. Why not take out your frustrations on Perez or the many blogs that deserve it? Oh wait . . .

  8. ^^^ Who are you to tell other people what they should think or do?

  9. I agree with "Needs to be Said"'s point of view. It's really the truth.

Were I live there is a situation with leagalizing gay marriages and honoring the couples marriages from other states. Friends are upset of the oppositions and their bullshit rhetoric. I said don't get mad talking about it, do something. Go there and protest against the opposition and be heard. Most don't look the part of the steretypical gay male, but that's part of the problem. Let them see the face of all gays. Just don't come down with your ass hanging out in chaps. That's what the oppossition is waiting for.

Jake and Austin ARE being used here to vent about personal frustrations. It's clear! Especially Jake. Even if there is no hard evidence and only "I know in my heart he is gay" attitude. That's the problem I have with constant complaining of his life. Put the focus on your life and your cause and let it be a "Just" cause and not of "Speculation". Speculation won't work in a court of Law.

  10. As time goes by you see the similarity between J&A with all the little things. Little habits they've picked up from each other, like the tongue, the lip lick, the toothpick, phrases, mannerisms, or how you see one in something and you say hmm that looks like something Jake/Austin would wear. It's those kind of things that happen with long term relationships, they happen without trying. Its not losing their total identity and being something they are not in a forced way (ahem, I smell perfume) but that those little subtle things become a part of you.

    Agreeing with yourself again? Yawn.

  12. Forgot to say:
I don't have anything agaisnt Destiny, but alot of her comments seem out of frustration even though she has the "I know Jake is gay in my heart attitude" just as most posters here do. It does not make it TRUTH. That is part of the frustration.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Your trolling is very frustrating.

    ReplyDelete
  14. I ask that people remember to give everyone respect and a opportunity to speak their feelings without it becoming personal back and forth.

It is also times like this that attract others to jump into the mix and stir things up more.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Again:
This does NOT make it True.
Maybe true / Maybe NOT true.

I know he's (Jake) gay, he just has to be gay. Have you seen the pictures of how he looks at Austin compared to how he looks at Reese.

All speculation. No need to get upset with Jake or Austin.

  16. Trolly,

no one cares what you think.

  17. Who am I? I'm a commenter like anyone else. If my presence is not welcome, I'm sure the admins of OMG will let me know, and noone else. I'm not telling anyone what to think - I'm just making a comment like everyone else. Nice try, but picking apart phrases out of context to prove a point won't work - people are smarter than that. OMG had a nice post today and the constant negativity, derision of comments and the unwarranted suspicions and casting of aspersions on people, based on absolutely nothing, is just wearing and very high school. Nobody is calling anyone names, it's just human nature sometimes. Pop is the pits, OTH is campy, they look awful, etc., etc. ad naseam. If it's so damn terrible, why on earth watch or comment? Says it all.

But, count on Special for a little Zen - thanks!

As time goes by you see the similarity between J&A with all the little things.

  18. Ang recalling Heath and Jake's kissing scene.

Director Ang Lee has spoken out about his favourite memory of Heath Ledger - a kissing scene between him and Jake Gyllenhaal while new girlfriend Michelle Williams was watching.
Lee was directing the trio Brokeback Mountain, which won Heath a best actor Oscar nomination for his role as a gay cowboy.

"I was directing Heath kissing [Jake Gyllenhaal] and I told him that you would never kiss a woman that hard," he told Metro exclusively.

"He needed to do it in a heroic Western way, more passionately."

"I remember seeing Michelle watching while we filmed - at that point they were already 'friends' - and she had a look of concentration on her face because she also thought he should be stronger with Jake."

  19. just a couple of quick comments:

#1: i haven't sseen a movie in a long time, but 2012 sounds interesting, i love that kind of movie, and seeing the pop trailer would be a nice bonus.

#2: even if you aren't actually going to buy something, shopping can be fun, especially with your hot (maybe gay) boyfriend (maybe toy!) i'd love to spend a day hanging out in NY with jake, shopping and having lunch and maybe seeing a show. i hope she's enjoying it while it lasts. lucky her. :)

    lucky her

I think Reese would prefer having a boyfriend.

  22. ^^^^ regarding reese's love life, you'd think she'd be ready for a real beau by now, i agree, but maybe not. if she really is as Type A as everyone says, after the train wreck that her last marriage was, maybe she doesn't want to go that route again. that is the best explanation i can come up with her agreement to this longstanding situation: she's enjoying not having to deal with a real relationship. she gets all the bennies of looking like she's got a man with none of the traumas that go along with it. s.

    ReplyDelete
  23. she's enjoying not having to deal with a real relationship

We have no idea what she's doing during those 7 months of free time per year, we see only what Reese wants us to se.

  24. No, I'm sorry, but Who Am I, you're a troll.

Same person, same garbo, different day, different time.

Sorry, Special, but that's what they are and they're not fooling me. It's the same person everytime. They slam everyone else and then brown nose you. I recognize the spiel by now.

I'm not playing nice today. Didn't yesterday and I'm not today. This person isn't fooling me and I'm calling them out on it.

    ReplyDelete
  25. As you can see I recognize that that there are others who come here and jump into situations like this and have today.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Or let me put it this way. Who Am I is either an outsider or a semi/former regular who just never has the nerve to use their regular name. Just putting the cards out on the table. And the reason I say it is possibly a semi/former regular is because they talk to us in a very familiar tone. This is someone who is on here probably as much as we are, lurking all the time but doesn't comment much. Then they choose their moments to dish out the same speech every time.

  27. Two years is probably a good number for the respite between divorce and seriously getting back out there. That would have been about the time period had POP not been delayed. Of course, there has to be a willing male suitor and so far none with any interest in Reese have surfaced. We all know why Jake does not date any other women.

Deliciously cute pictures of Matilda going to school on Just Jared. I cant believe how big she is getting. She looks like a deep thinker. Something about the eyes.

There have been a few early reviews of 2012 and they have all been awful.

I decided to reread Best Friends Forever. I read it chapter by chapter initially, but its fun to reread it like a book since it is complete. Good writing but it's keeping me awake in bed as I cant stop reading it once I start.

  30. There's photos out of what is supposedly the cover for Adam Lambert's cd. Not sure what I think of it, but the posters at ONTD sure don't like it, at least what I've been able to read--there are almost 1300 comments!!!

    It's a little too 80s I think.

    Adam's cover on ONTD

    ReplyDelete
  31. delurking to say I love Adam's cd cover. He's totally living his dream :) I respect him for not being afraid of being totally out there.

  34. A mermaid, a sailor, a leather boy, a Pirate with hook, and puppets in sailors hats doing Village People's In the Navy.

The new Fellini or Craig Ferguson celebrating Navy Day on his show?

Tim Gunn in a Aqua Man skit that goes Benny Hill on the show that puts Alicia Silverstone and Salman Rushdie on the same night.

And you wonder why I love the show.

Here's hoping Austin gets to do Craig's show spending it fixated and laughing about the opening that night, is he quicker than liquor, his fivehead and coveting Craig's big snake mug.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Oh, man. I would love to see Austin on Craig's show. Jake too, though I don't think he would ever agree to that. Craig deviates from the scripted questions all the time. Austin has not blogged for quite some time. I guess he is too busy filming.

My printer is having a major meltdown. Thank goodness we have 2 in the house. It's been so reliable that I am freaking out that it might need to be replaced. Hopefully hubby can fix it. I cant believe I am so attached to a printer.

I had a really strange dream with Heath in it last night. He seemed so real. Not ghostlike, it was clearly a dream. Maybe because of the Matilda pictures.
