Ring around the Roses

New calendar, new year, new decade. Everything's good, nothing's gone wrong, no one's messed up. How can you not love a day like that.

It's one day that reminds everyone that everything's possible. Discover that hidden talent, do something you've always wanted to do, hell maybe just to organize your mess, or only hit the snooze bar twice in a row. No rose colored glasses need today, the Rose Parade is enough.

Here's to taking the good things of 2009 into 2010 and going from there.

Sing out Louise.

  2. Here's a little OTH trivia for those who don't know. Sophia Bush was the 2000 Tournament of Roses Queen.

  3. Happy New Year, to all at OMG! :*

Tom, I read your comment about bringing good luck, and I didn't say anything because I don't want to jinx anything! lol We're getting off to a great start for 2010, I'd say. And that's all I'm sayin'! ;)

  4. Hey guys. I had to take a couple of weeks off. I just got waaaayyy too wrapped around the axle about the end of reeke and all the gossip and drama and BS!! I enjoy following the mystery of it and him - i guess in a way, i'm not so much a Jake fan anymore as i'm a fan of "Is he really gay, when will he come out, what's going to happen next?"

I want to follow along and all, but i don't want it to take over my life, which is what it was doing there for a while. I got like the Jake character in Zodiac - it was pretty scary. Hopefully, i'm back in the road with a reasonable grip on things. Like i said, i want to watch and comment and be along for the ride, but i don't want it to become TOO important to me anymore. At that point, it's not fun anymore - it's depressing and demoralizing and blech.

So Happy New Year to everyone, and here's to what I HOPE will be a fun year of watching Jake - and Austin - come back out into the light of day.

Hugs all around. I've missed YOU GUYS much more than the mystery itself. :)

  5. Happy new year to all. Lazy day planned here just watching bowl games. We have a vendor here who is doing a free e-waste pickup on Tuesday. Tomorrow I am going through every drawer to round up all my old cell phones + one inoperable old behemoth TV for pick up. I've been too lazy to take them somewhere, but they are picking up in driveways so no excuse now.

Sienna, nice to see you back here. I just said to myself this AM, I wonder where she is. I understand getting away for a bit. I try to do that every so often myself. Not just a Jake break, but a day off the internet. Some days I wonder how I survived without it.

  6. Good Girl was on today, and watched it again, and it hit me again how good Jake was in it. I know he thought a lot about how he would play the part, but when you see him acting you don't see the thinking and the mechanics of his acting, it's just him being, being Holden.

    Congrats Bruins.

A sneaky snow continues one that comes and goes and is supposed to add up to around 10 inches by Monday.

  7. Wow that was a great game Spesh. A real heart breaker for the Flyers. I really love the tradition of the NYs day outdoors NHL game.

  11. Jimmy Kimmel is rerunning the episode with Jake again tonight. It was already rerun once before. So this is the third time in a month for this interview. Think Kimmel and crew think it was a pretty damn good one if it's getting this much play.

  12. I have been off for about two weeks
for Christmas vacation and go back to work on Monday, January 4, 2010,
I want to wish everyone a late New
Year's Day wish for a much better
peaceful year! I have been cleaning
house and the bad part about that
is it NEVER stays clean for long!
I do hope Jake and Austin have
a peaceful, prosperous New Year of
2010 with lots of good times and
    plenty of work!
We got about 14-16 inches of
snow and some of it is STILL not
melted off! I am counting the days
only about 2 1/2 more months until
    spring!!
    Please take care of yourselves
and have a happy and healthy New
    Year 2010!!

  14. PEOPLE Magazine explains the split! according to a source, the couple were never truly in sync. (*gasps in shock at this startling revelation!*) "They were on two diff pages," says source. "she's already been married and she has 2 kids. He just ddin't have the life experience she did, and the things he wanted next in life, she had already lived. He was a little needy, and it got to be too much." Adds the source. "Reese is happy with things being simple."

People is still running the story about him going to the HIV/AIDS thing in NY on their web page. It's almost as if they are running stories about 2 diff sets of j/r. The Dumped Jake because he's a Flake stories to promote Reese as being the dumper, and then the obviously happy Jake moving on stories. It looks like maybe he's going to let her have her say in the mags, but he's not going to go along with it by hiding and pretending he cares.

    GO Jake GO!
