Baker's Dozen?

With only one show left before the season finale, and less than a week before OTH's future being announced the rumor are buzzing about what's going to happen.

Anyone who watches the show should know by Monday night, because it has been said that they shot two different ending based upon their future.

But if you can't wait or don't ? Well Michael Ausiello at EW.com posted a little tidbit yesterday:

The CW is said to be strongly considering renewing both One Tree Hill and Life Unexpected for 12 episodes apiece. Among new shows, the Nikita reboot is a lock, Scott Porter’s Nomads is flirting with a possible midseason order, and ASP’s The Wyoming Project is… generating absolutely no buzz. Is this renewal by default?

Can you handle a baker's dozen of OTH?

The best thing is that we can get Austin 12 more weeks on TV, in addition to his movie Beautiful Boy coming out this year. Now if we only knew what was going on with Chris Carpenter's Fencewalker.

And the bad... well let's just focus on the positive.

To get the another season or the consolation prize of half a season, Schwahn and Co. went to the grand poobahs to plead their case and sell what they would do for the upcoming season. And with that comes the inspiration of today's special Top 12.

Top 12 pitches for a OTH half season

12. Giving it more streeet cred. Change Mouth's name Jaws and then have Skills jump over him on a illegal street bike.

11. Alex becomes the surrogate for Brooke Davis(TM) and Julian. Brooke doesn't know that the lab procedure didn't take and Julian and Alex take matters into their own hands to give Brooke the baby she deserves.

10. Working with the late Charles Schultz group, make the entire cast Peanuts characters. Wawa wa wa wa Wah wa wa wa

9. Tree Hill wanting to send the message of the importance of recycling, takes one story from each of the previous seasons and redoes it. To keep their proactive edge the boy will be girls girls will be boys.

8. Jamie goes away to boarding school after mom Haley's breakdown, comes back as 20 something in episode 6 saying he ran away from school and found Grandpa Dan hanging out in Mexico. Together they ran an illegal used car dealership and underground fight club.

7. From the success at the film festival Julian gets a chance to direct Jakey G. which send Brooke Davis over the edge obsessing that Julian will fall for the toothsome actor after rumor of them spending the day in a trailer come out.

6.To raise money for a new community center the men of Tree Hill do The Full Monty with Gregory Harrison tapping into his role from For Ladies Only and showing them all how to strip it off for the ladies of Tree Hill.

5. The Bobcats go the NBA championship. The gang comes along. Nathan scores the winning shot to win the NBA title and Lucas emerges from the crowd to reunite with this brother.

4.Bring Mayim Bialik, Joey Lawrence and Jenna Van Oy on as guest stars for a very special Blossom OTH. WHOA!

3. When all else fails. Vampires!

2. OTH THE MUSICAL!

and the Number One pitch for giving them a half season:

1. Austin out of retirement and waterskis again. LIVE on the air. Over sharks with a leather jacket on. Ron Howard to direct. (Wait too Fonzie?)

  2. When Jake said "when we decide to have"

No, you need to watch the interview again. That's not what Jake said. He said "if we ever do it" and he was referring to doing another interview with Lorraine if he ever had kids and then he could use her line about a child being the "biggest production ever." So the "we" is him and Lorraine. I wasn't sure what he said a first either, but then I watched it again. I'm just being objective and honest. There's no mystery or conspiracy here and no slip of the tongue.

  3. Sophia Bush: One Tree Hill Renewed!?May 14, 2010 at 1:22 PM

Sophia Bush dons a polka dot one-shoulder CH Carolina Herrera dress at Ann Taylor’s Fall 2010 Collection Preview at West Hollywod’s posh Soho House on Thursday (May 13). The 27-year-old star rubbed shoulders with fellow actresses Anna Kendrick, Julia Jones, Taraji Henson (in Nicole Miller), and rapper Eve.

The CW is said to be “strongly considering” renewing One Tree Hill for 12 episodes, reports EW. Are you excited for an eighth season of OTH??

  4. No he did not mean him and the interviewer. The we is Jake and Austin, and he never finishes the sentence, if we ever, and could be have another one.

He quickly covers his tracks and says I.

And he also say about the comments about it being his biggest production, was something along the line of you've heard that one too. Which means to me that they've heard that before when they had their kids.

  5. The we is Jake and Austin

In that case Jake said that he and Austing don't have kids.

  9. Jack up to new tricks I see.

About the we and having kids. Like I said Jake never finished that sentence. And then saying about hearing it's your biggest production too it infers that has been said to him, ie him being a father.

The we is was also very unconscious of him. Because he identifies as a we now. The sign of someone coupled. (And no I don't mean a hold over from Reeke)

Also did you catch Jake talking about coming out of the womb sword fighting? 1) What man single no kids guy says womb? and 2)There is a double meaning there that could be taken him saying he was born gay.

Jake has being sprinkle many things into his interviews print and in front of the camera this whole time. Another one was him talking about how he can handle two swords. And don't think he was only talking about the props on screen.

  10. 1) What man single no kids guy says womb?

The same kind of "single" man that talks about placenta? ;)
Cause that's the picture straight men want to have in their heads when they think of female reproductive organs...

I think what makes this one especially interesting is that Jake wasn't even the one to bring that up the first time, he just agreed that he can in fact handle two swords.
Mike Newell was the one who said it during the WonderCon press conference and they all laughed very knowingly, so I don't think his orientation or even his hinting at things is quite as big a problem to Disney/Bruckheimer as some might like to think.
And he obviously hasn't been hiding it during the filming either or else they wouldn't know and be able to joke about it.

the poster has an opinion and some other posters share it also.
you can be a Jake and Austion fan an have a independant thought about the two. Some don't see how they could have a baby. I am one of them. Why should it hurt someone to think this? Ask yourself would you be hurt if they did not have a baby or, were not a couple? Stop attacking posters because they don't share you enthusiasm about the marriage, baby idea and see things differently. Geeshh

Well ECF, tell me how you go from claiming you're an J&A fan to saying that you're not enthuastic about them being a couple? That's a direct contradiction.
Clearly even if they had broken up, it has been a long relationship, especially by Hollywood standards. Why would you "be enthuastic" about a long-term couple that you claim to be a fan of, breaking up? Why would you be a fan of them as a couple and at the same time think that them being married is something negative?

You need to stop pretending that you're a J&A fan. You might be a Jake fan, I highly doubt you're a Austin fan, but you are not and have never been a fan of J&A as a couple.
You can keep on protesting that you once thought they were a couple that loved each other, but fact is you just don't and never did. What you think is that they might have hooked up for a second there sometimes inbetween dating women. Because to you Jake is either straight or bi leaning towards girls.
Everything you have said so far indicates that you think Jake with any guy is a phase at best. You know, a momentary lapse in judgement and he will come back from the dark side and end up marrying that perfect girl.

Just go on changing names a million times, your post are still the same old, same old and I'd dare say there isn't anyone but your alter egos that still wants to hear it.

Stubborn TB and Special K, do either of you regularly talk to men about children or pregnancy? Actually, do either of you talk to men at all? Because you seem to have a really warped view of what men can and cannot say. I'll tell you the kind of man who uses the word "womb": any man with even the most basic understanding of human reproduction.

The rest of your comments about sword fighting are some of the funniest stretches of the imagination I've yet seen on this blog. Desperate but impressive.

  19. why are you making that up? I'm sure you can't read anyone's mind.

I don't need to read anyone's mind when they're screaming it out at us over and over again.

ECF has always maintained that "in his opinion" Jake is bi and that "maybe" he will end up with a woman.
Jake and Reese were for real. Also Jake and Kiki were for real. And also there might just be something to Jake & Rachel and Jake & Olivia and Jake & Isabel.
But don't you dare say that Jake and Austin are still together, cause you don't know that!
And anyway, Jake looking at a guy with an adoring look doesn't mean anything, sheesh!

All of his many rants always argue the side of "maybe Jake is straight/bi and dating women" and never "maybe Jake is gay/bi and dating guys".

Doesn't take much to read out of those comments (posted over and over again for years) that hey, maybe ECF thinks Jake is more into girls, does it?

Why would you "be enthuastic" about a long-term couple that you claim to be a fan of, breaking up? Why would you be a fan of them as a couple and at the same time think that them being married is something negative?

Read the mission statement, that's all you have to do. Part of it mentions the mission is to promote community and support of both of these actors. I'm a Jake fan, straght gay or bi. What's your point? Are you just a fan if he's gay? What a real true fan!

I've grown to be a Austin fan. And your point is, because I don't blush with glee every time Austin's name is mentioned, I'm not a fan or don't like his work?

Stubborn I remember you from the Dany years and I can't quit remember if you are a guy or a girl. But I think from a mans point of view about these things. And you????

If I remember, you seem to speak your mind even if it does go against the grain or thoughts of the group. I don't know, maybe you are that poster. My point is, I will speak my mind, If you don't likd it, MOVE ON.

No. It is NO mistake I don't think the two guys are that stupid to have a child or two and keep the damn child in hiding while they travel the world and date or beard with women. I don't think EITHER of them would stoop that low. If you do, Good, I don't have to.

What's in it for you anyway? OH I know, their gay and you are here to support them. But apparently only if they are gay.
    Fan, yeah right.

  24. So very bitter, I'm just a few years younger than Jake and I can assure you that guys that age generally don't want to think about things like pregnancy or the details of giving birth.

Unless they already have kids, to them wombs and placentas is not what they think of when they think of womens neither regions.

And most of them still have a very different approach to kids than what Jake has been presenting the last few years.
Sadly, the most common thing seems to be "when I have kids they better be quiet and do what I say or I'll whoop 'em good". Whether they still actually think like that or just say it to be cool, who knows.

Maybe older men are different there, but Jake is still closer to my age group, even more so 3 years ago when he really started talking about family and kids.

  28. Sceptic, yes there was no mention of it in the 6:13 pm post, but that is ECF's usual way of going by it.

He starts a conversation about just about anything and without fail it always ends up at Jake being bi and dating girls.

If that's what he thinks, I couldn't care less, but it baffles me why he would choose to post here all the freaking time. Yes, the mission statement doesn't excplicitly say that it's a J& A blog. But don't you think the pictures at the top and bottom and even more important Specials posts that she puts so much work into every day kinda make a case for what the blog is for?

You also never see the kind of posts ECF makes here on IHJ and I assume even less so on GB and the DC forums. If you think that he's most likely bi, why only try to change the opinion of those that think he's gay? Why not also try to change the opinion of those who think he's exclusively straight?

No one says you have to like them as a couple to be a Jake or Austin fan.
But when you're claiming that you're a fan of them as a couple, you should kinda "be enthuastic" about them being together, don't you think?

I'm not sure what exactly the purpose is to accuse people here of talking from a standpoint of "Jake and Austin are gay and they're a couple" either, when that is the whole point of the blog. It's kinda to be expected, isn't it?
If you don't like that and want to just talk about Jake and Austin seperately, there are millions of blogs out there for just that purpose. And I swear they will only do the "respectful" kind of speculations, too.

  32. So very bitter, I'm just a few years younger than Jake and I can assure you that guys that age generally don't want to think about things like pregnancy or the details of giving birth.

Hey Stubborn TB, I really don't need your assurances about men, given that I too am a member of the human species and have my own interactions with men. My point was (and is) that making such sweeping statements about what men think is stupid. Especially when you seem to interact with an amazingly immature group of men.

Unless they already have kids, to them wombs and placentas is not what they think of when they think of womens neither regions.

He was making a joke about being a born sword fighter, not being asked to talk about how hot his co-star was. If he had been asked what he thought of Gemma and had said "She has a great womb" then you maybe might have some kind of slight point. But he wasn't and you don't.

And most of them still have a very different approach to kids than what Jake has been presenting the last few years.
Sadly, the most common thing seems to be "when I have kids they better be quiet and do what I say or I'll whoop 'em good"

Well that just confirms that you interact with a particularly immature group of men and that you should really refrain from projecting their views onto men as a whole.

Stubborn is exactly right about ecf. He comes on here under all kinds of names but his comments end up the same every single time.

Same old garbo. Every single time.

Sheesh, just because Jake may have had a thing with Henry Cavill doesn't mean he & Austin aren't still together and sharing a family. Honestly, I have no idea if he & Henry did and at this point, it's mute. We'll never know.

It doesn't change my mind at this point. I'm convinced more than ever that Jake is married to Austin. They share a child, maybe two. They live together as much as they can.

You don't have to believe it one iota. Doesn't even matter to me that you think he's gay as well. I could care less.

But you come to a Jake & Austin site, you would have to be clueless if you expected to come here and engage in a discussion of Jake with whoever else everyone else fantacizes him with.

    It's a Jake & Austin blog.

You believe he's with someone else or that oh-so-famous taunt, "I believe Jake is gay, closeted and single." Great! Awesome!! I think that's fine. But you cannot pick on anyone here who believe what they do.

    It's a Jake & Austin blog.

One reason he could have talked like he did is because he and his sister are close or seem to be, and child birth could have been discussed, everything. Also, he is not a child, men do know about the details of child birth. Some of it is taught in schools.
IMO he was joking. Nothings wrong with that.

  51. Minnie Pearl or PG whatever you want to call yourself. I could careless what your beleifs are. It is very obvious you have lived a sheltered life and have not been exposed to anything out of your world, which at times seem like mindless clutter. Interesting you are on a blog talking about a gay relationship. Was it shameful for you not so long ago. I know this blog makes your life more meaningful and all.
But experiencing life with another Man or Woman, you choose would really gives more insight and Experiences. Truly.

  53. Seems that the thought of Jake being back home in LA and Austin being there and the possibility of them together is very threatening for some reason.

Oh Special K, please tell me you haven't descended to m's level? Tell me you aren't trotting out the tired old "people are disagreeing about something, they must feel threatened" argument? Especially when you are the only one who has said anything about Jake and Austin being in LA together (is this like the time you thought they were in London together)?

And which names are you suggesting this Jack character is posting under? And are you going to reply to my post from earlier?

Stopping by Woods on Snowy Evening
    by Robert Frost

Whose woods these are I think I know.
    His house is in the village, though;
He will not see me stopping here
To watch his woods fill up with snow.

My little horse must think it queer
To stop without a farmhouse near
Between the woods and frozen lake
The darkest evening of the year.

He gives his harness bells a shake
To ask if there's some mistake.
The only other sound's the sweep
Of easy wind and downy flake.

The woods are lovely, dark and deep,
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.

  59. Why are we being trolled at the worst of times? Wow what a horrible couple weeks tbs have had to deal with. Couldnt be worse. So why are we still haunted. Because these people are afraid that all of this has been overkill and J and A very well may be together. They are trying to convince themselves that J and A arent together. Let em try doesnt seem to be working. They still come.

  60. Why are we being trolled at the worst of times? Wow what a horrible couple weeks tbs have had to deal with. Couldnt be worse.

Tom, unless there has been some personal tragedy in your life that you haven't spoken about, I don't see how this could be the worse couple of weeks you've had to deal with. Anyway, don't stress, it's just people having a (mostly) friendly disagreement with the odd troll butting in.

    ReplyDelete
  61. Some people are very upset today for some reason, Tom, I have no idea what has their bvd's in a little knot.

Maybe the latest issue of Highlights or Ricky Ranger didn't come in the mail today, who knows.

  62. PrairieGirl, you said you were leaving. If you're going to stay, can you please stop trolling? Or at least try not to react quite so childishly to people disagreeing with you? Oh, and something from earlier; it's "moot", not "mute".

  63. My life is ok.. I was refering to being a J loves A fan and that is very much what I am. I love the social importance of some day being around when they eventually come out. eah for some silly reason it is important to me. What is important to u about it so very bitter or ecf. Why do u waste ur time here. Of course you are always welocome but dont you have more issues and things you enjoy than giving us a hard time. Are you really some type of crazy homophobe or just some crazy person who loves to bust balls. Either way ur very weird.. Get a hobby or something. Maybe u should should be a Republican.

  64. There is no point arguing with the troll. If a video showed up of Jake giving Austin a b--w job in a gay bar, troll would say that straight guys do stuff like that all the time. Means nothing. Troll defends Jake is straight regardless of what behavior he demonstrates. Like a robot on auto pilot.

Cute post today. Must say I am not sure I could handle another 12 episodes, even if Austin is in them. I'll have to record them then fast forward to only the Austin parts. The show is just too lame for words. Austin's a smart man. I bet he wants to move on to a new show as well.

    ReplyDelete
  65. Austin is someone who needs a new agent and manager. This guy has the looks to be a serious character on a serious show. Jake seems to be getting some work but Austin cant catch a break. He is 30 he needs to get lucky soon.

  66. Are you really some type of crazy homophobe or just some crazy person who loves to bust balls.

I don't know about ECF but I haven't said a single homophobic thing in any of my posts, and the only thing I've done that comes close to ball-busting is call out PrairieGirl for her trolling, her name calling and her bad spelling, which she deserves considering how much she likes to call other people children.

I read this blog because it's entertaining. I (very occasionally) post here when I see a comment so stupid that I feel compelled to disagree with it in writing. Today it was Special K/Stubborn TB and their comments about men using the word "womb", comments so ridiculous that neither one of them has replied to my arguments against them.

Unlike PrairieGirl your post to me did actually contain some kind of non-trollish point, so I'll ignore the insults.

    ReplyDelete
  67. If a video showed up of Jake giving Austin a b--w job in a gay bar, troll would say that straight guys do stuff like that all the time.

Hey Hey, there. Wrong again M.

    I would WATCH!!!!

There you go again with your whacked out generalizations again.

I do understand Jersey Toms reasons for his actions (post) at times, well, some of the times, but M, You don't know me..
How in the H*** can you as a straight Woman accuse me, a man who has been a part of what you and your cohorts are accusing Jake of, call me homophobic.
I have said before, If I'm proven wrong and Jake and Austin are together, get married, and show their child (if they have one or when they have one) to the world I would be the 1st to say I'm wrong, but until then. I don't see.
    Ted is full of shit.
Sorry, I know more about gay men then you ever will M......

I just don't agree with your take on things and I find (your) rationale about the whole J/A lovefest pretty ridiculous. Sometimes I don't comment but sometimes your comments are really clueless of Gay Men and What they are about. Very bitter, I have not made one homophobic statement on this blog. PG and whoever else know I didn't.

  68. Watching J Ross. And you know sitting on the couch and how far apart they were. I think it could have been for the one shot to introduce them. They want the intro just to have the one guest in the shot by themselves so they could have had directed them put sit one on each end of the couch and then one in the middle for the intro, and then have other two guests scoot together for a two shot reaction to what was going on when the third is being interviewed.

It looks like the BBC America replay of the show is just Adam and Jake and does not have Lord Sugar in it.

  69. You love me, don't ya, bitter? I see it now. Kind of that Kiss Me, Kate kind of deal. I bet you missed me these last few days.

You love typing my name. You love quoting me. You love talking about me. You love what you think is calling me out. You coyishly deny keeping a file on me. You're playing hard to get. You obviously can't stop thinking about me, talking about me, loving me.

Hey, I'll hang around all night; I'll flirt unabashedly with you. Give you all the material and attention you seem to be craving.

One tiny, tiny little thing, though. You say my thing is my spelling (it's probably really a trait that you find secretly endearing). How about my little thing be my spelling and your little thing be your punctuation? How about a comma after "Unlike PrairieGirl"? Now we'll both have our own little pet peeves about each other.

Adorable, I think! I think I'm falling for you even faster now.

Instead of troll, I reckon I could start calling you schmoopie? Schnookums? fuzzywuzzybunny? That'd be nicer, wouldn't it?

    Okay, talked me into it.

"PG just likes to be the guardian or the gate keeper, dean or warden of the site, that's all. It seems to make her happy or special or a part of."

I haven't been here the past few days, and no I don't love you or your trollish posts. But let's see if the rest of your post addresses any of the points I made.

You love typing my name. You love quoting me. You love talking about me. You love...

    Cree. Py.

Hey, I'll hang around all night; I'll flirt unabashedly with you. Give you...

No, really. Creepy. Creeeepy. I think I preferred it when you were trolling me.

One tiny, tiny little thing, though. You say my thing is my spelling

No, I said it was your trolling. T-r-o-l-l-i-n-g. You can make as many spelling errors as you like as long as you stop trolling.

Instead of troll, I reckon I could start calling you schmoopie? Schnookums? fuzzywuzzybunny?

Why don't you try calling me "So very bitter", since that's my screen name?

And having come to the end of your post, I find you're still trolling me and still not adding anything to the discussion other than insults and the revelation that get turned on by people who tell you you're a troll. Which is a weird kink, but not the weirdest one I've ever heard of.

    ReplyDelete
  73. Oh,btw. Did I mention that it's a Jake & Austin blog? I may have neglected to mention it.

    Preach it PG.

    So true M.

  74. Special, I just watched J Ross too. Heavily edited so I am glad I got to see it on youtube and photos from the show earlier. It was nice to see Jake on a big screen though. He was on his guard, but a good sport.

Interesting that the women screamed a lot more for Adam than they did for Jake.

    ReplyDelete
  75. They really cut the J. Ross show. They cut the last minute or so of Adam talking about the kissing controversy, and cut Ross' joking about kissing the guys and Jake gagging. They also cut the bit with Adam reacting to the talk during Jake's interview about smoking hash. You really didn't get to see the green room at all, except at the very beginning. Boo on BBC America.

    ReplyDelete
  76. They did scream more for Adam. Jake just seemed off to me.

For what it's worth, I showed my girlfriend the clip on YouTube of Jake's reaction in the greenroom to Ross and the kissing, and she thinks I'm all wet behind the ears. She thinks Jake just thought Ross was obnoxious all around and reacted to that with the fake gagging and the IPAD bit.

    ReplyDelete
  77. Amen Tom.

Destiny, show me a post of mine that contains any homophobia. You won't because you can't, but that won't stop you blindly hitching your wagon to the dumbest part of Tom's post. I guess this is the day that the regular posters decided they could all act like trolls, fling out insults and put words in other people's mouths.

Who would have guessed that Stubborn TB would be one of the more reasonable people posting on here today?

    ReplyDelete
  78. Hey! I watched JR too, and I truly am happy they edited out the gagging stuff. I thought that it probably was just about JR too, but still, it could be misunderstood. I loved the Dastan t-shirts. Adam was wonderful, and so was Jake, I thought, seeing it in it's entirety. :)

    ReplyDelete
  79. BBCAmerica keeps the Ross show to 40 min. in the US, so they did have to cut for time and for ads here. They also cut Adams reaction during Jake's interview too. They clipped more of Jake's interview because it was the longer of the two. But there was bit of Adam's edited too.

I agree with your gf, Dest, I think Jake was thought Ross was being bit obnoxious. Ross did seem to have different vibe interacting with Jake than he did with Lord Sugar and Adam. There a strange tension to it. Jake was pushing back just as much and as clever as Ross was trying to dish it out all under this layer of humor in the interview.

    ReplyDelete
  80. I don't think Ross is always 40 minutes here; it came on at 10:20 and the few times I've watched it in the past it's come on right at 10:00. I just watched it a couple of weeks ago when Stephen Moyer was on. Tonight it looks like they had a show on before that ran long. No fair that it was this week of all weeks. Does it run a full hour without ads in the UK? If so, then they'd still have to cut.

    ReplyDelete
  81. I wonder if they cut the show down to 40 minutes then because Lord Sugar is not really known in the US, so they chunked it out to 40 minutes and than had to edit accordingly. Just a thought.

    ReplyDelete
  82. and no I don't love you or your trollish posts.

Methinks thou dost protesteth too much. You'll never convince me otherwise at this rate since you devoted an entire comment to moi with lots of flattering italicizations and mano a mano concentration.

  83. I don't know about the "we" , might referring to his relation with austin ( I hope at least) but for sure he is denying having kids right now "when we decide to have"
    so....

    ReplyDelete
  84. When did Jake say "when we decide to have"? He said "when we do it" (presumably an interview again with Lorraine Kelly), he'll say "this is my biggest production ever". You should listen to the interview again 4:49.

    ReplyDelete
  85. When we do it, when we decide to do it, When we have,

    whichever. whatever.

The plain fact remains that he says "we" as naturally out of his mouth as saying his name. And then quickly adds on "I".

do it, have, do it, have - they both mean the same. I don't think it matters at this point.

Man. I think I have one heckuva trollish hangover. Sorry, guys! But I'm leaving it all up, not taking it down. Because that was all me, lol.

Yuck. It can be easy to get dragged into all of that. And I was supposed to get alot of writing done last night (as I had pledged to one of my readers that I had big plans to)and instead frittered my time away replying to trollish visitors. No excuses! Just plain ol' all my doing. Shameless self-indulgence and showing off. Ugly, isn't it? I'm not sure why I can never learn from this same mistake but it's always a new day and I will always have the earnest intent to reform.

Thank goodness for friends on the phone and you know who you are. I have been saved more times this week by beautiful people. I think I would literally need to go into a padded room from all of this insanity if it were not for off-the-record talkdowns and patient ears.

This has been an exceptionally trying week, one of the roughest, if not the roughest, that I can remember in the 2 1/2 years that I have been here.

    ReplyDelete
  86. That being said, I think it is highly significant that the core of diehards are still here. Not only that, but have no intent of leaving. Through thick & thin. By hook or by crook.

Jake can sit in these interviews and even television appearances and hem & haw, evade, use coy words, vague interrupted sentences, disarming & distracting humor, brisk changes of subjects, shameless flirting, fade-offs, hidden slang, non-specific statements, generalized gender references, spin that would make Marty Schottenheimer proud enough to want to probably adopt him and just plain, apparently easier-off-the-tongue-than-ever fibbing all he wants.

It's head-shaking at this point. It's sad. I think it's monumental in terms of watching the descent of a once ornery, yet sweet & sexy American boy into the dark, inprisoning grip of the Hollywood closet. We're all watching it before our very eyes.

And some of us gripe. Blow up. Some just sad. Disappointed. In Special & Stubborn's individual cases, they're understanding, all-forgiving and ever patient. Thank goodness because it's inspiring and uplifting, and I say that with all sincerity.

But if Jake's people think that any of this past week 1/2 has changed any basic beliefs as far as who the diehard core believe Jake really is....huh. They're going to need to just pull up a chair and sit a spell. May as well prepare to be in this thing for the long haul.

And while I'm at it, I'll say the same sentiment goes for those who come to troll. You too may as well be prepared to get comfy.

In other words, allow me to get the guest room ready.

However many it takes; we've got plenty of room.

^^ PG, All of Hollywood does this...

All of them. You just have Jake under a microscope.

    ReplyDelete
  89. Oh, I'm not saying that's not true, ?.

But do I care about the others? No. I care personally about Jake.

And I'm not saying the hem & hawing, etc is bad. Not at all. Isn't that what we have found humorous, endearing and revealing about him? Sometimes it's bad, yeah. The outright fibbing but hey, I can't cast that stone without first throwing it at myself. Been there, done that.

I think there's still hope. I think anything can happen and things can change. Views and outlooks can change.

I think he still gives us nuggets of what he really feels and how he really lives. For instance, I just found this little quote this morning that I hadn't seen yet. I've seen the first part of it, but not that last part.

This is from the Scotland Herald, dated May 15 (lol, oops, that's today!)

He came to the conclusion that “what really mattered to me was my life, and that I needed to start defining myself through my relationships and connections with the people I love dearly. Making a movie can be like a family but it isn’t your family. The camaraderie, the closeness, the connection you have with those people is a certain type of family, but ultimately I didn’t want to mistake that for my real one. I wanted to live my life and be with the people who wouldn’t care if all this went away.”

^^ That is the Jake I still care about and long to envision still exists somewhere away from the lights, the glitter and the $$$. Despite some of the stuff I've seen lately (and yeah, I've now watched that J Ross thing) and have been disappointed/disheartened by, I still love who I believe he can be away from Hollywood and the mainstream's eyes.

I think he needs to know that there are plain ol' joe & jane's who can be upset by his sometimes self-denial but can still get over it. Still accept. Still love. Can still flip the page on the calendar and have a do-over. Because heaven knows, that's what we all yearn for and need, isn't it? We all get that chance. That's all any of us want: love and acceptance.

And I could still rip his people a new one for not helping him to see that; for their self-serving coaching and advice. They had first crack at supporting him and guiding him with his best interests at heart and they have totally blown it.
