Some things don't stay in Vegas

More of Jake on Day 1 of shooting. Off to the trailer unaware what he is in store for..... What in the Vegas Slot Playing Granny are those glasses?
All he needs is a sweatshirt cover with playing cards, dice and with lots of puffy paint and glitter, with "I Give Loose Slots a Run for Their Money" "Bump and Raise", or "Loose Granny Goose" on it.
Because it is starting too look like Austin is part of Enemy's Wardrobe Dept
The tie and the belt were innocent enough. But who else would pick those specs, or suggest this?
Oh.. no no no. Ohhh no... I am not doing the garden version of his mask when I'm playing the actor. No way!!

Ok, think, Jake think, what scene could they work in those rubba boots?
You could see Austin suggesting when the twins strip down to check out the other, that they throw a pair of boots in the scene just to throw a curve ball to the audience and the critics.
Can't you imagine the reviews? "Audiences were baffle when the Actor and Adam finally meet and stripping off the conventions of their societal roles to expose their true identifies except for the Actor who remains in rubber boots. Many were left wondering if it was some type of existential metaphor"

And a parting random thought:

Is Jake getting ready for Top Gear's "Star in a Reasonably Priced Car"? Okay he would make it through Chicago. How would he do through Hammerhead? And what about Gambon?

  1. You don't get around much do you? LOL! Austin is as gay as glitter and sequins. There was no reason for that Ryan character to send that uninformative tweet, except for the subliminal message. The press doesn't follow Austin around so he's using twitter as a beading device just like he did with Sophia Bush.

Pretty much in a nutshell, yes, that is exactly what he's doing. For exactly whose benefit, that remains unclear because we already know he's gay so the show is wasted on us.

Austin is darn lucky that a lot of people aren't noticing what he is doing because he is playing with fire.

Obviously, Austin's manager isn't watching what he's doing. And obviously, there are some parents out there who don't watch what their high school aged girls are doing either on their phones. Because if they did, they would see a 32 year old man making inappropriate comments to their underaged high school daughters.

Austin's better judgment went right out the window as soon as his bearding contract ceased to exist.

It could be that in some totally stupid way of thinking, that because it's in cyber space, his kids will never see it, that what he's doing is never going to be on the pages of US Weekly. So there will be no visible footprint and it's not hurting anybody.

But any clear-minded adult can see what he is doing and I know perverted, inappropriate behavior when I see it. Jake and ol' Tay have nothing on Austin and his cradle rocking.

No excuses for this one, none at all. Jake is equally as guilty because they're both in this together. The guys have sunk as low as I've ever seen in their totally misguided, twisted attempt towards being able to "have it all".

  2. And are these lewd comments that he's making? No. It's because of his age and the age of some of these girls. That is what makes his actions totally inappropriate and distasteful.

Explain to me what these girls are doing again? Why are you blaming them?

  4. Some of these teenage girls are asking Austinto meet them in other venues, ALONE. And, Austin is egging them on. Totally inappropriate. I agree with Prarie Girl.

  5. LOL!!! Not a prune? I see, my keyboard is not cooperating today. Here's what I meant to write:

  6. Who said I'm blaming them? Look at the following sentence. Does that sound like I'm blaming the girls? No. I'm totally blaming Austin.

These are just high school girls who are living in a fantasy world. What 16-17 year old girl wouldn't dream of a handsome television star telling them he would love to meet them.

So get off your bandwagon, Jack, that this is another "female-hating" rant because it is so not that.

  7. Austin has to take responsibility for how he engages with his fans.

Does anyone else know of a male celebrity who engages on such a personal level with his female fans via their phone like Austin does? If this is normal celebrity behavior, I'd love to know.

When I say "what they are doing on their phones", it's the same thing as parents not knowing if their children are looking at porn on their computers or engaging in substance abuse away from home.

I'm sure Austin's mother or sister wouldn't be too wild either about what he is doing. His sister has a daughter (2? not sure). Any parent would not want their 16 year old daughter being told by a 32 year old strange man that he would like to meet them.

And this is disregarding the fact that Austin is in a committed relationship with another adult. How screwed up is that.

  8. Talk about high horses! lol

These girls will have forgotten all about Austin Nichols in 6 months. They're teenagers. Their tastes and obsessions change like the wind. Once they start dating and living normal lives they'll leave him behind. I think Austin realizes that as well. He's giving them a cheap thrill. Big deal.

And this is disregarding the fact that Austin is in a committed relationship with another adult. How screwed up is that.

    He's an AC-TOR. He's playing a part.

Well let's see. Off the top of my head I can remember Jason Segel bringing a fan to an awards banquet after she tweeted the song dedicated to him. So, not quite a personal DM via a mobile device. ;-)

A lot of actors interact with their fans on twitter - it fosters goodwill and a hope those fans will follow them and support their future projects.

This "big deal", as you put it, could land Austin in the slammer. What part about under-aged do you not get?

One of these girls could turn the tables on Austin and they could use these DM's to false accuse him of a sexual crime. And his DM's are out there on the internet for all to see and could be used against him as proof of inappropriate behavior towards a MINOR. And even if they've been deleted, how much do you want to make a bet, they can be retrieved? Just because we delete things on the internet does not mean they disappear. There's a footprint that can be retrieved.

Your view on this is totally frightening, saying it is harmless and okay for a 32 year old male to be hitting on a minor.

If Jason Segel was smart and he had a smart handler as well, I'm sure a parent of the fan was along on this trip if the fan was under legal age.

  12. If you want to see that as in appropriate behavior on his part so be it. But I think you're getting waaaaaay ahead of yourself on the false accusations of a sex crime. Why are you even going there? Is that what you WANT to see happen?

  14. Oh yeah, right. That's what I would like to see.(sarcasm) No, it's called being smart about the way people falsely accuse celebrities because there is money to be made. Obviously you live in a cave. I'm done on this subject, it's been covered. There's no way to twist it into anything other than what it is.

Anyone who thinks I took some kind of enjoyment in what I said is wrong. It pains me to see these guys resort to these kind of tactics. I have been in their corner since I came to OMG 3 years ago, defending them again and again.

I'm sorry, Jake & Austin, but I draw the line at this. Someone has got to say something.

  15. Are there any Gear Heads out there that watch Top Gear? I'm a big fan of the BBC version, more than the US version. I would love to see Jake drive it in the reasonably priced sedan. Wonder if he would sing or swear driving it?

  16. Clearly it's not going to go anywhere beyond messages, but yeah, I think it's wrong to egg on teenage fans. Austin is supposedly the adult in the room, he should act like one.

  17. Clearly it's not going to go anywhere beyond messages

Exactly and I didn't mean to insinuate that it would. It's all a show. But to even pretend, is not wise whatsoever.

Sorry to speak so much. Every time I see my avatar, I feel like turning down the brightness of my screen, lol.

    I'm done for the night.

  20. Thanks for all the great links this morning.

Nice to see Jake with fans. And always love to see a smile.

I love the picture of Jake they used for the poster.

    Thanks again!

  21. Thanks for bringing in the links and information. It's great to have news gatherers.

My Pandora is playing a song called "Not Even Stevie Nicks" right now. You can't lose with a song title like that, I don't care what the song sounds like.

Hey, did I hear somewhere that Timothy Linoleum was pitching today?
    ;D

  22. That is correct. Hopefully, The Freak will turn around the slump he's been in.

I'm happy to hear that you are staying on top of Timmy news, PG! ;-)

  23. Jake's new film is really, really intriguing. I love the poster also - the crips white collar and the font of the title (and mirror images) at the bottom is great. Thanks for posting! :)
