For all comments, grumbles, frustrations, discussions, critiques and the fun we've made of the Crazy Tree, it did let give us a lot of Austin. We got three years of seeing our favorite Texan.
And got to know him more through
His co-stars:
And then the talented Mr. Nichols showed up. He is the real deal guys.
Our characters on One Tree Hill are supposed to be exes. So before we ever shot together, we went and grabbed dinner.
The first thing I realized about Mr. Nichols is that he is strange.
People as good-looking as he is don't really need
personalities.
But like Lincoln, Mr. Nichols exhibits that overwhelming combination of charisma and mystery.
He is the man who has learned every crew member's name and is respected for his kindness.
He hides away on the weekends, and is a master of rumors.
He is an artist, that takes pride in exploring and exposing all the layers of his characters' personalities.
He uses pet names for women that are old-fashioned and funny.
He is someone you can talk to all day, and still be completely stumped by.

I have only just begun to read this work.
This is the beginning of the third chapter.
I have nothing really to say about it,
except that it has, in a very brief period,
already had quite an impact on the way I
treat people, myself, how I understand my
beliefs, concerns, and convictions.
The way I organize my life, or un-organize it,
the way I hurl myself through space, or just
let myself be hurled.
I think everyone could take away something
from this writing. :)

Good post Special.
Even though OTH has become almost unbearable to watch, it's still a bit sad to see a long-running show come to an end. I enjoyed his first "guest" season, when OTH still had a sense of humor. Must be hard for a smaller town like Wilmington to lose a show like that too.
Great song choice today - hope we'll be seeing Austie in a new movie/series soon.
Like I said, for all the bad there were a lot of good things that came from Austin's stint on OTH. Seeing him more than before, him writing on SoGoPro, his most memorable tweets, getting more involved in charities, getting to see him direct.
And how many chances would you have to see him shirtless? ; )
Jake's been tweet all day long as some people's choice for #SexiestManAlive, and at the same time some are tweeting that for Austin.
Sounds like they make a good pair. ; )
I don't get the appeal of Bradley Cooper; he can be funny in supporting roles, but don't think he's a leading man or sexy.
This is The End. Thank you to everyone. This has been beyond meaningful. This hat is a small clue for Season 9. ... say.ly/kAd10pi

Thanks for a wonderful post Special!
I wasn't one to watch the Crazy Tree mainly because I didn't get the CW on my satellite selection, but I've enjoyed all the Austin images that flowed here, and have enjoyed getting in closer touch with the wonderful guy that Austin clearly seems to be. Have enjoyed sharing it all with lurkers, regulars and all.
Its going to be interesting to see what he gets up to next in the performance and directing scene.
Another excellent post, Special. I was sure hoping we would get to revisit the JG sweater, Clint Black/Jack Twist Tee and, of course, Big Blue, again. Or, maybe given the curious tweeting going on these past few weeks, I should use the term baby blue? ;-)
I enjoyed Austin in all of the pictures. I wish the over the top bearding in the last 2 yrs of the show didn't overshadow so much of what I used to enjoy out of him being on the show but it did. You did a lot of great memory work on the post, Special, very nice job.
Can we just not see those 3 words anymore, though, lol. Man.
Hey Seaweed, I am so sorry I missed your call again. My phone was in my backpack purse and I could not get it out in time. I was also in the middle of putting up my latest chapter and just finished not too long ago. I had to go beta-less on this one so that I could put it up. It was a quickie due to staying over 3 hours at work tonight. Makes for a very short night. Ya gotta just love 4th quarter. NOT!!! lol

#SexiestManAlive? Jake Gyllenhaal. Duh. He even makes gay look good.

Why does reading Austin's tweet make me hear Jim Morrison
This is the end, beautiful friend
This is the end, my only friend, the end
Of our elaborate plans, the end
Of everything that stands, the end
No safety or surprise, the end
As much as I am glad to see OTH gone, I will miss the opportunity to see Austin and to hear the miscellaneous tweets fans made about him. I think he will wind up landing another role though, Sure hope its some thing with some substance instead of that OTH drivel.
One more day and night of business entertaining to go. I am wiped out but must admit we've had some fabulous meals.
Did Austin get a chance to make a commentary about the show in his last picture?
Austin was saying the hat was the clue. But it's not the hat that's the clue. It's the door.
I remembered that the book that Lucas wrote, talked about the girl behind the red door. That's Brooke.
So Austin kneeling and head down in a submissive pose looks like he is saying or mocking - that the whole thing is all about Brooke.
I saw a funny clip of Jimmy Fallon doing Jim Morrison to the singing of "Reading Rainblow". Very believable. :)

Jake's got the prime seat on the train. First one by the door, and only one person next to you. Usually those are marked for older riders, pregnant moms, people who have a disability or can't stand.
