What's in a Name?

You may be wondering why we called this blog "Oh My Godot." The name is a reference to the Samuel Beckett play "Waiting for Godot," in which two men wait for another man (Godot) who never arrives. The name is also in honor of the blog "Waiting for Toothy," which is a Jake Gyllenhaal/"Toothy Tile" blog.
Why do we make this reference? For those who believe Jake and Austin are in a romantic relationship, it symbolizes the long period of time it could take to leave the Hollywood closet. Historically, Hollywood actors who are in same-sex relationships have either waited until they are much older to come out or have never come out at all. We understand that coming out in Hollywood as a young actor is quite difficult and a career risk. We want to enjoy and support Jake and Austin as people and actors without putting pressure on them to declare anything about their relationship.
We also want to make clear that we do not really know anything for certain about the true nature of Jake and Austin's relationship. We believe they are a romantic couple, but this is speculation on our part. We do not possess any insider knowledge of Jake, Austin, or any of their confidantes. There may be times when people will post here claiming to have insider knowledge of Jake and Austin. Read these posts carefully and judge for yourself.
