Jake was seen in his old stomping grounds, Silver Lake, this week and with new "old" pics courtesy of IHJ today, it's a perfect time to travel in The Way Back Machine to the Silver Lake Film Festival in 2004.
That year Jake present the Festival's Spirit of Silver Lake Award for career achievement in independent cinema to Laura Dern and Jake's future Zodiac co-star Mark Ruffalo.
The Silver Lake Film Festival ran from 2000 to 2007 and "provided a showcase for cutting-edge independent film, music, digital, and other arts in Los Angeles, California."
For Jake he had his own accessories that night complimenting his light blue shirt that lit up those amazing blue eyes.

Here's a real LOL. It's pretty embarrassing to admit, but it's so stinkin' funny, I have to share it. I can't believe I did this.
I have been walking around most of the day until about 1/2 hr ago.... with my shirt on backwards!!!! LOLLLLLLLL!!!
It's a long sleeved cotton T, beige colored with a real graphic picture on it about making fishers of men that I bought at Mardel's for $5 last Christmas. I mean, a HUGE picture of a flapping fish out of the water, all over the front of it. And I was in the bathroom and there was my shirt, allllllll beige in the front. And I said, what in the heck? And realized I had it on backwards!!!
And we had been at a little coffee/hamburger place for lunch in my Mom's town and I was the one to go up to the counter to get our food. Totally oblivious to my shirt being on backwards because I had to take my jacket off; it was all wet due to the rain.
What a killer!!!
And so then my sister shares the story about when she once wore her denim jumper backwards to work and did not realize it until she was down in the cafeteria, reached down into the front pockets and they weren't there! And she felt behind and there they were on her butt. LOLLLLLL!!!
Aren't you glad people point these things out to you?

Austin told Ocean Drive back in 2007, said that's where he'd go if he was taking someone on a date.

Maybe for sushi- I like this place Sushi Nozawa in the Valley. It’s, like, the best sushi place on the planet. It’s phenomenal.

Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds' Romantic Ice Cream Date
How sweet is this?
Ryan Reynolds took girlfriend Blake Lively on an old-fashioned date in Connecticut Friday night, where the two held hands and shared ice cream out of the same cup.
The couple spent the evening walking hand in hand at the annual Ridgefield Downtown Holiday Stroll, in picturesque Ridgefield, where carolers roamed the streets, kids posed for pictures with Santa and couples took rides in a horse-drawn carriage.
After strolling around the holiday festival for a bit, Reynolds, 35, and Lively, 24, stopped into Deborah Ann's Sweet Shoppe, where they "tried a few samples of ice cream off of those little spoons," says an eyewitness at the ice cream parlor.
"They picked their own flavors, English Toffee and Chocolate Fudge Brownie, but put them in the same cup and shared it."
"They left holding hands," says the eyewitness, who further described them as "very nice. They just blended in. They seemed very happy together. They were very excited about the ice cream."
It looks like Austin is heading to Israel for brief culture diplomacy visit with American Voices in Israel.
AVI brings American celebrities to Israel to see "all facets of Israel society. They tour the country and meet political, cultural, business and scientific leaders. They acquire firsthand understanding of Israel" which they can bring back and share with their audiences.
Looks like Austin is heading out tomorrow with small group that includes actors: Justin Chatwin, Sean Sipos, and Greg Grunberg.
Jake's favorite goy will be able to get lots of great stuff for Hanukkah. And have something talk about at Passover with Mama G.

I mean, L.O.L. Just pathetic, regurgitated, recycled, very gently worn, consignment shop, clearance shelf, day-old bread bought bearding technique.
I was never positive or aware of guys like Ryan Reynods, Leo D or George Clooney and their sexuality. But all I have to see is the now totally recognizable bearding techniques and I don't have to think twice. It gives them away.
And the beards like Blake Lively, Renee Z, and Olivia Wilde are starting to rack up the miles on their tripometers.

Yup, looks like Austin can only take only a few days with the tots and then he can't hack it anymore and has to get on the road. I think I hear the glub, glub, glub of the big plane refueling now. lol

Hey SK, why would Austin want to be away from BT's and Jake just as Jake has got back to LA? I'm sure you can come up with a better excuse than getting "lots of great stuff for Hanukkah" (lol - I've heard everything now!).
Jake's been with Austin since One Tree finished. You're stupid enough to believe he just got back to LA, Special's not.

I think that's why Jake dropped from the radar for nearly a week. Austin and he have been together far longer than just three days, but by making it seem like Jake only flew into LA on Thursday, we now know for sure the closet is still in force. If Jake and Austin were no longer together, there would be no need for such elaborate coordination.
Hope Austin has a great time. Sounds like a wonderful opportunity for a genuine cultural exchange.
Yeah it sure is funny that, once again, we have no idea how or when Jake touched down in Los Angeles. He obviously uses private planes when he doesn't want people to know the day he returns somewhere. Yet, he had no problem taking a commercial flight to NY in September so we knew when he left California.
Where were the splashy Just Jared LAX pics? I think it's clear Jake's been in Los Angeles and did not want people to know when he flew in. And, yes, the closet comes to mind. He didn't want it to be too obvious that he flew to the East Coast while Austin was filming and came back with the filming was done.
