It's almost September and that means no more summer vacation for Jakey - it's back to work!
And it looks like things are falling into place for a Take No Prisoners PR Tour.
Jake will be making the rounds starting Labor Day until right to the opening weekend Sept.20th.
Jake's kicking it off with old friend Dave next Tuesday night (September 3) on The Late Show with David Letterman. Think he's going to have a drunk lady story to tell?
Live with Kelly & Michael has been promoting Jake as one of the September guest on their TV ads, so look for him to stop by the second or third week of September. (OMG will pass on the deets, when we get them)
And Jake will be sitting down on a brand new talk show, it's first week out of the gate. Jake will joining John Travolta,Jamie Foxx, Sharon Stone, and Will Smith as guests on the premiere week of the
Queen Latifah show, a daily talk show premiering Monday, September 16.
Thursday the 19th Jake will have is moment Inside the Actor's Studio.
Of course Jake will pop up on the morning news programs and as well as fingers crossed he'll stop by to see Jimmy Fallon again. We love you in the banana jump suit, but you know "Orange is the New Black" and if you switch it will definitely make it a "Take No Prisoners" Tour.
Check back on OMG for more information about Jake's upcoming interviews.

Just Jared
Funny. :) Thanks for the info on Prisoners!
What a beautiful post yesterday - I can barely take my eyes off that beautiful creature (the snow leopard, not just Austin!).
I don't think Jake is starting his new film next week.
See this from Deadline.
Also at the Telluride Film Festival picnic I ran into Prisoners director Denis Villeneuve and its producers Alcon’s Andrew Kosove and Kira Davis. The trio were anxiously awaiting the festival’s reaction to their incredibly tense thriller. I had speculated pic would be a surprise entry here and indeed it as now been officially announced as one of Friday night’s screenings. (The festival also confirmed Fox Searchlight’s 12 Years A Slave will screen Friday, ratcheting up the Oscar contender wattage considerably). I am told Prisoners stars Hugh Jackman is in Japan promoting Wolverine and Jake Gyllenhaal is starting a new film and also couldn’t make the trek to Telluride. But both will be at the Toronto premiere next week along with the rest of the impressive cast. Villeneuve is no stranger to Telluride and was last here in 2010 for his Oscar-nominated Incendies.

So Jake in Just Jared and Denis saying he's busy to come, because he starting a movie? Sounds like a vacation weekend for Jakey - but with who? ; )
lol, those shoes are kind of funny looking. Sort of like canvas boat shoes.
I've seen Jackman on Just Jared over in Japan promoting Wolverine. Clearly that movie is where his heart and wallet sit. Even during the filming of Prisoners, he was constantly gone every weekend, sometimes entire weeks going to award shows for Les Miz. He's going to be all jet lagged when he lands in Toronto.
Speaking of which.
This was an interesting quote of ol' Denis V. from that Cineplex interview found on IHJ. The director is quoted as saying:
"I ended up literally working on two movies at the same time. Not back-to-back - at the same time! The two production companies worked together to accommodate Jake's and my schedules."
Whoa, stop. Speaking about Enemy and Prisoners, he said that Jake's schedule needed to be worked around? LOL! What schedule was that exactly?
What about Hugh? Hugh was the one who was gone constantly going to the BAFTA's, Berlinale, etc. That guy was the one going everywhere promoting Les Mis at every film award show there was. But yet Denis V says it was Jake's schedule as one of two he needed to work around.
Hmmm. Winter breaks? Spring breaks? I don't know, I'm just trying to get my head around that loaded quote.
Ok, that's my contribution for the day. A rare lunch break going on right now. Gotta run.
Sometimes you just can't let quotes like that go without a little open contemplation, lol.
But yet Denis V says it was Jake's schedule as one of two he needed to work around.
I thought the same thing PG. In fact, Jake just recently stated that he is independent and has no responsibilities. He supposedly had no schedule to keep while making Prisoners. Yet, Denis remembers that it was Jake's complex schedule that he had to work around. Must have been all those Emily dates that never took place.
Have you already forgotten that just stuck in the middle of this two movies there was the play? Is not occurred to you that maybe Denis was talking about that?
LOLLL, with the exception of Sharon Stone, everyone on Queen Latifah's show the first week is a closet case, starting of course with the hostess herself.
PG, did not mean to confuse you I meant that despite the fires near a park (Yosemite), people are still able to enjoy it. So hopefully you will enjoy your trip as well despite fires in the vicinity.
I guess Jake's Daddy Duty weeks at home conflicted with the schedule. He and Austin have been trading pretty regularly. One works, the other tends the home fires. Even our troll has to work overtime those days to keep the focus off his whereabouts.
I saw the Prisoner trailers, which I had not watched previously. Looks pretty dark and did not make me want to see the movie. If critic opinions show up before the release date, that means it is good. If they keep a lid on critics opinions until the film is released, then the feedback is not likely positive.
Thanks for the heads up on coming Jake movie promo. I hope he does not rehash the same talk over and over like last time.
What does a play that ended months ago have to do with his current schedule.

huh? are you kidding me?
The wages of sin, guilt, vengeance and redemption weigh heavy on the characters of “Prisoners,” a spellbinding, sensationally effective thriller with a complex moral center that marks a grand-slam English-lingo debut for the gifted Quebecois director Denis Villeneuve. Powered by an unusually rich, twisty script by Aaron Guzikowski (“Contraband”) and career-best performances from Hugh Jackman and Jake Gyllenhaal, this tale of two Pennsylvania families searching for their kidnapped daughters sustains an almost unbearable tension for two-and-a-half hours of screen time, satisfying as both a high-end genre exercise and a searing adult drama of the sort Hollywood almost never makes anymore. Fully deserving of mention in the same breath as “Seven,” “Mystic River” and “In the Bedroom,” this Sept. 20 Warners release may prove too intense for some viewers, but should ride strong reviews and word of mouth to above-average R-rated returns. It immediately enters the ring as an awards-season heavyweight.

Looks like the pre-release reviews are pretty damn good so far, granted only two have shown up, but they're important trades. I bet that makes you feel better, m. Right?
