A Leg Up

Last week Austin directed the Crazy Tree and maybe this week he has a future project with his former JFC co-star.

Directors find inspiration from all kinds of things, films they've seen, still pictures, their surroundings, they draw from everything to bring their vision to life. It's all on the director. A lot of work. But there are perks about being the director and directing yourself - you can wear whatever you want.Now where would Austin find the inspiration for this look?But let's get fancy.

And anyone who loves to cook loves cookbooks. Not always to follow exactly but sometimes for inspiration and other times for reference.

“I have a massive section in my library at home of beautiful old cook books. I really have a strange obsession with them.”

Sounds like he uses them more for reference and finds inspiration at the farmers market.

“If I’m making a romantic dinner. I like to go to a farmers’ market first, buy things fresh and come up with my own dish based on whatever I’ve bought.”

Culinary FYI: One of the best collection of cookbooks and culinary history outside for the Library of Congress is The Arthur and Elizabeth Schlesinger Library on the History of Women in America at the Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study, Harvard University.

Maybe friend and Harvard alum Natalie - could check out a book or two for Jake.

Guns and Gams

The story might have been about a dagger but there was a definite gun show going on.


But guns isn't the only thing Jake's got. He has some serious gams. Even Ted has said they are highly overlooked. Well, with the eyes, the dimples, the smile, the arms and the abs...something's gonna get overlooked. It's can be too much. ; )




And the new peeks at them from his two recent projects, make you go...

But even with all of that going for him don't know if really pull off this look.
