Austin rumored with Tall Hot Blonde?

Earlier in the Spring  Austin had a brief twit convo with former co-start Garrett Delahunt about the chance to work together again, and then later Austin sent out a tweet about Courtney Cox. Piecing it together we figured out that this was related to the Lifetime TV movie Tall Hot Blonde starring Delahunt and directed by Cox. Laura San Giacomo plays Delahunt's wife. 

 If you remember   "Talhotblond", Barbara Schroeder's documentary and the inspiration for the Lifetime Movie,  is about the true life story of "an older man and a young girl who start an online chatting session that leads to a year of sexually-charged deceit and lies and ends in murder." It sounds simple in its premise but it's not -- far from it.

 Not sure who Austin will be playing but keep on the lookout. He might be one of 

Montgomery's (Delahunt)  co-workers, one of the investigators, or another online gamer.

The movie has it's World Premiere on Lifetime Television tomorrow night Saturday June 23 at 8pm EDT/ 7 Central. 

  While he might be with Tall Hot Blonde this Saturday night, everyone here would   agree he looks even better with a Hunky Hot Brunette.

It looks like Austin might have been dropping a hint in his tweet yesterday and made a new friend from the cast of CougarTown. After a tweeting with former JFC castmate Garrett Dillahunt, earlier this year about the possibility of working together, OMG wondered if it could be on Dillahunt's show Raising Hope.

But it is far from that, and looks more like it is a "Talhotblond" reuniting the pair, under the direction of the Queen of CougarTown Courtney Cox. They just wrapped filming "Talhotblond", which is based on the Barbara Schroeder documentary of the same name about the true life story of "an older man and a young girl who start an online chatting session that leads to a year of sexually-charged deceit and lies and ends in murder." It sounds simple in its premise but it's not -- far from it.

Schroeder took the top doc prize at the 2009 Seattle International Film Festival, and Cox is taking on dramatizing the story for her TV movie directing debut.

She has said that she didn’t want to make a typical TV movie, and that she wants it to have the "American Beauty" feel and look that will resonate with a wide range of viewers."

Austin 's buddy Dillahunt, who was the Doc on JFC, plays Thomas Montgomery "a retired Marine with two children and a wife of 15 years falls in love online with an 18-year-old virgin" and is "led to do things that he could never have imagined."

To say this story has a twist is an understatement. And like it has been said many times you can't make this stuff like this up.

What will role will Austin have, tough to say, will he be one of Montgomery's co-workers, one of the investigators, or another online gamer. Guess we will have to wait and see if Mr. N drops anymore hints.Courtney will have worked with 3 of the JFC crew now... can we suggest getting Luiz Guzman on CougarTown to take on Bobby (Brian Van Holt aka Butchie) for King of PennyCan?

Lifetime's version will come out later this year.

It looks like Austin and Lifetime are enjoying working together, this is Austin's third Lifetime movie, following the great success of 'Prayers for Bobby" with Sigourney Weaver and last years award winning movie "Five" under the direction of Demi Moore for vignette starring Annie Potts.It does say a lot about Austin that he gets return work again and again with the network and that he is on projects working first time directors.

Think it shows that he is a hard working professional who is a team player that can be counted on.One thing about Austin you will hear over and over again, that is that he's not just a good actor but a great person, and how everyone who works with him wants to work with him again. It's not just the cast or directors who say that but the crew as well. He is a respected guy in front and behind the camera. And he respects everyone he works with too. In all the stories, gossip and talk about Austin there has never been a bad word about from the cast or crews he has worked with, everyone likes that big tall Texan. And how can you blame them?

And while Austin is not a tall hot blond this timeit looks like he was quite temptation for couple of people on this gag reel of the last season of OTH.

In Five... 4(weeks from now)..3, 2, 1

Austin's gone to the 80's for Lifetime but this time he goes back a little further, to 1969.
The hair's a little longer this time but cause is just as important.

Austin is taking part in the groundbreaking original movie “Five” for Lifetime Television.

"Five" is the "anthology of five short films exploring the impact of breast cancer on people’s lives.""Five" shows the shared experience each short film’s title character endures from the moment of diagnosis, weaving their stories together with both drama and humor "to focus on the effect breast cancer and its different stages of diagnosis have on relationships and the way women perceive themselves" while they search for strength, comfort, medical breakthroughs and for a cure.

Austin is a part of an all-star ensemble cast that includes Patricia Clarkson, Rosario Dawson, Lyndsy Fonseca, Ginnifer Goodwin, Josh Holloway, Taylor Kinney, Jenifer Lewis, Jennifer Morrison, Kathy Najimy, Bob Newhart, Annie Potts, Tracee Ellis Ross, Tony Shalhoub, Jeffrey Tambor and Jeanne Tripplehorn.
Austin plays one of the children of Annie Potts who is diagnosed with breast cancer in 1969. The story will show how different it was to be diagnosed then, both medically and socially and the effect it had on not only Annie's character but her family.

Each short film is directed by a different director, which are Jennifer Aniston, Alicia Keys, Demi Moore, Patty Jenkins and Penelope Spheeris.
The head of Lifetime, Nancy Dubuc said “This may be the most important film we’ve ever done."

Intense, powerful, inspiring, it is being called a can't miss.

But don't think it is all serious, "Five" looks for the humor as well.

Executive producer Marta Kauffman (Friends) talked about what happened with someone is given such as a diagnosis of breast cancer. "When we're in the most extreme circumstances, we tend to do one of two things: We either completely freak out, or go to humor. And when you raise the stakes enough, the results can be funny. It can be funny when a woman who's been diagnosed with breast cancer still has to deal with her mother."

"We were always given the freedom to make it as funny as we wanted to."

Kaufman added, "The idea was to do something that uses breast cancer as a backdrop, it's not about breast cancer; we've already seen that."

FIVE premieres Oct 10th on Lifetime.

Starmaking

Austin filming Prayers for Bobby, it great news, and it has been too long since we have seen him in front of a camera. While we think he not working enough, he is working more than the majority of actors in Hollywood who are out there trying to get parts. But that's not the focus here, its the parts he's taking that are interesting. And not just for the obvious this time.

Not worried about small screen or large he seems to bounce back and forth, just looking for projects that interest him, and more from the artistic perspective as an actor than for career building momentum. After the title lead in a series he has no problem picking up small guest roles, and supporting acting roles rather than waiting on more lead role offers. Seems that their is no ego or sense of entitlement to his acting. Yes he starred in a movie that made well over 500 million, and had a budget of more than entire budget of Lifetime Television but he has no problem playing a second, third or forth support role in a Lifetime movie. He doesn't seem to throw what he did for work, he just let's the performance he's done speak for themselves.

Bottom line: Austin doesn't seem to be chasing fame, but just wanting to act. Acting in what he likes more than anything else.

Could be completely wrong and maybe he is taking the only parts being offered to him. Tend not to think so but what do you think?
