Hard Day's Life

You have the same shot as Jake or Austin to be in a Ridley Scott movie but you have to do it quick. (half a day left) Right now producer Scott and Acadamy Award winning director Kevin McDonald are asking for people to capture whatever they are doing today July 24th on video and submit to be a part in Life in a Day a user-generated documentary film. It is an experiment to capture a single day on Earth. Check out Life in a Day Channel on YouTube, and their FAQ.

It makes you wonder what they would capture for Life in Day.

Now would Austin's most recent co-star would film themselves on a Saturday dumpster dive mission?
Just a tip there some tough angles. You know 'cause does anybody look good with their head in the trash and the butt to the camera even if it is wrapped in Herve Leger? Well some may have that self confidence. Most Little Voices wouldn't, but then they're are just little voices aren't they.

Back to feature films.

IndieWire was suggesting movies for the upcoming Toronto and Venice film festivals is suggested LaOD for Toronto. So could we Jake back in the Great White North in September?

Jake has enjoyed his times at TIFF, well except for the whole hotel room mix up thing that one year. He's gone to support his family's, his friend's, and his own films there. And Toronto has given him a great reception too.

And since IHJ has been taking a trip in the way back machine with some of the pictures its been adding here's the way back via Toronto.

The word of the day is separate.

It may be a little bittersweet for he and Annie to go back this time.

Interesting is that even back in Sept 07 at Toronto,
Jake's now often seen bodyguard was on the red carpet with him.

Whale of a Tale

In Boston last week you could have gotten a lobster tail three different ways.

You're familiar with this kind of lobster tail.

Some may know of this lobster tail, which is an Americanize version of sfogliatelle.

And then there was lobster TALE.

"Hollywood hunk Jake Gyllenhaal picking up some lobsters and checking out the lobster salesladies at the West Tisbury Farmers’ Market . . ." Inside Track Friday July 16

You think what's the big deal?

Well let's think.

After two weeks of being on the island and not one peep, the Boston gossip columnists have THREE mentions of Jake in FIVE days? Mon, Tues and Friday.

Again the very same week Austin comes back east.

One thing to know about the Track Girls they are not on the island, they are in Boston, and rely on contacts and calls to give them the news from MV.

What made the phones buzz so much in one week. And checking out the lobster ladies?

Pleeease...

Something else to note: West Tisbury's Farmers Market is only two days a week. Saturday 9am -noon, and Wed 9am- noon. Running the story on a Friday, makes it sound like he's been there longer than he may be.

Jake at the Hollywood Farmers Market.

Austin may be the Man of Mystery, but Jake is becoming the Master of Misdirection.

May not being seeing him but there's more Jakey :

Jake might want to send Leo a Muffin Basket. Inception trouncing Sorcerer's Apprentice has shifted the focus from star to producer and is more about Bruck missing the mark again with another movie. Apprentice was a designed to be a a franchise as well, it won't even come close to making as much as PoP. The whispers are beginning "No producer can have four flops and have there be no repercussions," one Disney insider mused. and The Hollywood Reporter is asking has he lost his touch (both on the big screen and TV). It's all about Bruck now, and with growing buzz for Love and Other Drugs, Jake may squeek by this with minimal damage.

Speaking of LOaD. There is now music to go along with the story, a song titled “Ready to Try”. Will we see a trailer by the end of summer for the Nov 24th movie?

It is also getting more and more mention for the short list for Best Picture nominee and Zwick for the Best Director along with Anne for Best Actress in the Oscar race. That's not a slight on Jake's performance, but the Best Actor's race is extremely strong this year.

And can't forget Source Code:

After getting a good response from a rough cut, Duncan is finishing the editing.

@glennw yes. Just finishing the edit.it's called Source Code, and Jake Gyllenhall is in it! Should be fun! about 24 hours ago

One thing Jake might want to make sure is that Duncan spells his name right on the credits.

And a little more FYI or is that TMI.

Jake's hair smells great.

And Jake might not have a Facebook page but apparently a particular part of him does. ; )

Crazy Nakey Jakey and Tentpole Nights

There are someone good ways when the Crazy Tree meets PoP (let's just call it training and maintaining you know the flexibility, the cardio, acrobatics, and sword pl...oh stop!) and then there's this:

And this totally not that but it could be what would happen if OTH got their hands on the PoP franchise. This is a crazy so good you have to watch.

The son of Dastan and Tamina comes from the future (or is that the past) to talk to his parents and the rest of the cast and crew of the movie.

Now this is meeting a totally
different crazy all together.

Staying on track of the good kind of Crazy Tree meets PoP and it's all about the nakey, the Nakey Jakey that is.Whaaaa?

Jake said that he was proud of that body he created for PoP and told OK! Magazine.

"I got into shape by doing acrobatics. I also did a lot of horse riding and when it was time to the shoot there were daily workouts and I'd run back from the set to the hotel when we were in Morocco."

And if you think you see of lot of Jake PoPping out now, just wait.

"If you think I'm naked in this movie, you should [see] the movie I did with Ed Zwick, Love And Other Drugs. You'll just have to come back for that one."

God Bless R rated movies and (ones about)little blue pills.

Speaking of tentpoles.

Last night Jake commanded the red carpet with aplomb. Moving from the fans, the press, and major movie stars it was all effortless for Jake.

Instantly putting everyone at ease his down to earth, fun loving, good guy ways shone, he charmed everyone he met.

While the magic of the moment was not lost on him one the big night, it wasn't going to his head either. Don't think any movie no matter how big of a production or big of a box office success could do that to such a grounded guy.

Seeing Jake last night can see how what a man he's grown to be. And not just physically. There is a different sense and aura around him. A confidence and centered-ness, a self assurance. He enjoys the energy of the crowd and the moment, but he show that feeling of needing that energy like he did in the past. That need and that search for that is no longer there. That that need has been filled and it is something that has changed since the last time we saw him do the premiere of one of his movies.

UPDATE on OTH Renewal (2:45PM EST)

From Michael Ausiello at EW.COM

The CW has opted to bring back both One Tree Hill and Life Unexpected next season.

There’s no word on the exact episode orders, but I’m hearing both will return for at least 12 eps apiece.

What a Feeling!

Before Jake is just a memory in Pittsburgh.

Did you really think I wouldn't?

Just a steel town girl on a Saturday night,
lookin' for the fight of her life
In the real-time world no one sees her at all,
they all say she's crazy
....
She's a maniac, maniac on the floor
And she's dancing like she's never danced before
She's a maniac, maniac on the floor
And she's dancing like she's never danced before

With the yoga and parkour training this is easy.

And he's done dance, and hip hop.

He knows how to make things hard as steel working Pittsburgh.

And that memorable seduction in the restaurant wearing a tux eating a lobster and a little footsie?

Game : Plenty of lobster experience for a guy who spent summers on the Vineyard

Set :

Match : "Out for a romantic dinner at Jar last night, spied dreamy-eyed boat of dreamboat dreams Jake Gyllenhaal dining with Official Jake Gyllenhaal BFF Austin Nichols. Couldn't see what Jake was eating, even through my finest set of opera glasses, but he sat slumped enough in his seat that I momentarily suspected he was being served his meal from under the table" Defamer

Hey it is just like a movie. Getting the tall guy with the curls, the dog and a Porsche in Pittsburgh.

Speaking of tall and handsome.

Tonight on the Crazy Tree. Brooke Davis(TM) is pushed to the limit.(Credit? Speed? Fashion?) Nathan and The Real Housewife of Tree Hill’s careers bring tough decisions for the family,(why not make a tough decision about that hideous hat and hair combo ?) Julian plays a I Gotta Secret with Alex that leads to a confrontation with Brooke Davis(TM), wear a cup Julian, wait it doesn't matter anymore she's already got 'em. Meanwhile, Feats of Clay tries to resuscitate his career as an agent by wearing a suit, Jamie learns the truth about Skills’ new job in LA (exit stage left). And a fresh-from-jail Millie finds an unlikely supporter (when she really needs a sponsor)in Victoria.

OTH News:
Australian actor Mitch Ryan will be joining One Tree Hill this season with a recurring role as Alexander, a handsome pro surfer-turned-young mogul.

Oh come on you know there's going to be a some JFC stuff thrown around. But what lines ? "I got my eye on you"? "I don't know Butchie instead"? "See God" Brooke? "I'm going to bone" Alex? "Whipping the Skippy?" Or is Julian going to whip off the shirt and compare his stick to Alexander's to see who's going to rule the waves of Tree Hill?

Square Meal

Another serving of Turkey, with sides of an early (ok fake)snow, and talking about family conflicts it sounds like Thanksgiving dinner.

Main Course:

The threesome became a foursome when Flat Stanley joined Austin, Milo and Sophia at a signing in Germany. What a lucky guy. Wonder where Flat Stanley will be off to next. Think they were so kind to let him share a ride to Turkey?

One thing we do know for sure is that is Austin is not only proud of his American roots but his Texans one too, wearing a Lone Star tshirt that will be in who know how many photo albums around the world. And he has a topic of conversation with every Texan who is serving on base. Sure there were horns thrown many times. Now that's a picture I'd love to see.

And some Westen PA sides
Snow Falling on Pittsburgh - (it doesn't have the same ring as Cedars does it)

Sunday Jake and Anne filmed at Magee Hospital, when you need winter you make it turning it into a winter wonderland Sunday. A little Hollywood magic and presto! Snow. Now we know why there was a Sunday shooting schedule. Magee is an working hospital, like all hospitals it's open 24/7. So Sunday's are the best, no appoinments, just the emergency room and in patients, and essential personnel. Love has made the most of Pittsburgh's area hospitals for various locations, and it does give an authenticity to the life of a drug rep.

Here's Jake and Anne filming another scene in Shadyside this past week.

Here's part 2 of an interview with Jake about Brothers. Here he discusses director Jim Sheridan, what it was like working with him, his reaction to the original film, the differences between this version and the original, and what the movie says about families in general.

And when you gotta go you gotta go. Story in the Pittsburgh paper about the reporter's family of Gladys Kravitzes ( Must say if I ever had a cat, I would name it Mrs. Kravitz, best cat name ever) who were getting there Gladys up when Jake and Anne were filming. The reporter explains that "anyone spreading gossip is Kravitzing and, if the dirt is good, can at least temporarily hold the title "Gladys of All Kravitzes." And this Kravitzing was about Jake and Anne.

"My wife tells me she and our two daughters are going to walk around the corner to Shannon's house because Shannon had called to say Jake Gyllenhaal and Anne Hathaway were talking in the vacant lot outside her bathroom window."....

"They never got inside Shannon's. There was no need. While they were still on the stoop, Gyllenhaal ran right past them for the corner coffee shop, Hoi Polloi, evidently to use the bathroom. (Pennsylvania's film tax credit buys a lot of coffee.)"

It was our daughter Clare, celebrating her 10th birthday that night, who provided the best reporting of the evening. When I asked what she thought of seeing a famous actor on her birthday, she said, "It looked like he really had to go because he ran into Hoi Polloi."

Think Clare wins the "Gladys of Kravitzes".

Read the whole story at the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette

And this from Zechautograph:
So we leave and stumble onto the Jake Gyllenhaal/Anne Hathaway set. Yet another good set up and NO COPS around. It was fantastic. We got Anne leaving the set, but she did not do pics w/"

Jake says he can't, he has to run. We find the trailors and he is alrady inside, but after about 1/2 hour, comes out and, this is NO JOKE, APOLOGIZES TO US FOR MAKING US WAIT. After everything I had heard about this guy, he told us he was sorry for making us wait, took pictures with us, talked for a little while. And signed 1 per, personalized and thanked us for being fans. THIS IS NOT A JOKE.

Maybe had to just to go got go got go right now.
