Source Code The Sequel is now in the works. In an exclusive scoop,  Variety reported that the 2011 science fiction film is now being planned.

But there will be some changes it will no longer have Duncan Jones as its director.

""Source Code 2″ is ramping up development, with Anna Foerster signed on to direct the follow-up to the science fiction thriller, sources confirm.

The Mark Gordon Company and Vendome Pictures are returning to produce, with Vendome again financing the project. "Source Code" screenwriter Ben Ripley is back to write the script for the new installment."

It is very doubtful that Jake will reprise his role.

So who to cast.

Now who's available,  has worked with Mark Gordon before, seemingly can bend time and space with his twitter (or is that hide and seek)  and has the unique experience of being close to the action of the first Source Code?

Director's Cut

Prisoners broke it's award nominee shut-out with a Critics Choice nominee for Best Cinematography for Roger Deakins while it looks like one of Jake's previous director is finding another full award season. David O. Russell has been on an award roll since Nailed with The Fighter, Silver Linings Playbook, and now American Hustle.  It make you want to watch Nailed as least the version Russell created just to see what kind of performance he capture with Jake. 

Early in his career Jake seemed to pick movies even more by the director than the screenplay.  It looked like he was creating his own film school working with some of the best directors in the business.  Each brought a difference to the screen,  then seem to be change - an evolution perhaps? Jake started working with "young" directors - those with only a few movie under their belt or those directors who had success outside of mainstream Hollywood, with a sprinkle here and there of a bigger name.

Jake was awful smiley that whole time and there was discussion that it just wasn't about the movie or location.

Producer Mark Gordon

Jake worked with his friend Mark again on Source Code, with Jake hand picking Duncan for the director's job.  Source Code was such a success for Gordan his production company went on to work on a TV series based on it.

So Jake got his chance to work again with Gordon, and it looks like Austin has again as well.  Gordon is the producer of  Ray Donovan.

Hmmm makes you kind of wonder if Gordon knew who he could get to play Tommy right off the bat.

And speaking of small world, guess who else in on Ray Donovan with Austin?

And what makes that a small world?

Because Austin was at Jonathan's wedding to Austin's OTH co-star Jana Kramer, that lasted all of a minute.

 It's a smaller world after all isn't it?

Back to School

By now everyone who is back to school is back to school and that  makes the thinking cap to go on. 

Both Jake and Austin have played teachers. 

In Source Code, the body Jake jumped into was a history teacher. 

In An Enemy half of the twin thing plays a professor

In Proof, he was a Post Doc teaching undergrad math. 

Then there is Austin 

He's been an English teacher on Friday Night Lights 

and then 

He tackled Math too, with a roomful of girls who all wanted to take Trig in LOL 

So who would be the better teacher?  Who would have the more fun class?  What would be their best subject to teach? 

Now set your schedule. Who of the two for that that 8am Tuesday class and what would it be?

And who would be your pick for Wed afternoon seminar? And on what subject? 

No detention for sassiness. It's more fun that way.
