Which Way Weekend

Word is that Jake's left NY and has  been spotted in Pittsburgh

And Austin's  tweeted -  Vegas Baby!

And it almost Memorial Day weekend.

So what does that mean?

From what OMG's seen over the last 7 years.

Someone's getting into some trunks this weekend.

And not these.

And not anywhere were people think either are.
And if Jake does get seen in Vegas (even magically days "after" Austin's announced return)  it's all about the training for Southpaw.

Speaking of Southpaw and this weekend.  Here's a chance to be a part of the movie.

The story, apparently set in New York, will film in Indiana, Pa., and Pittsburgh. Shooting will take place in Indiana, Pa., from mid- to late June and in Pittsburgh from early July to early August.

Hope Films Inc. will hold an open call for paid extras on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Indiana Mall (use entrance near Sears and look for signs), 2334 Oakland Ave., Indiana, PA 15701. The mall is about 60 miles from Pittsburgh, just beyond the IUP campus.

In Indiana, more than 1,000 men and women age 18 and older (all types) will be needed during the course of eight days to portray boxing spectators. Extras will have the opportunity to work multiple days. Others also will be needed for Pittsburgh filming.

All hopefuls also can visit www.movieextraspittsburgh.com and download a form, attach a recent photo and send by email or regular mail.

Peek-a-boo*

We see you.

From the looks of it, it appears that Jake has finished up with Everest and had taken a left hook working on Southpaw.

Jake was in spotted in Floyd Mayweather's Las Vegas  gym with director Antoine Fuqua (r) and boxing coach Terry Claybon.

Claybon is the President and owner of LB4LB™ Boxing Gym, LB4LB™ Boxing Workout and LB4LB™ Boxing Promotions.  He has thirty-nine amateur fights and three Golden Glove Championships. He owns a five and zero professional record. He retired undefeated.

Claybon has trained many celebrities such as, Matt Damon,(The Bourne Identity series, and Invictus) and Denzel Washington, transforming him into famed boxer Ruben 'Hurricane' Carter.  He was also the boxing advisor/trainer/choreographer for The Hurricane, Carman:The Champion, Knockout, and the Human Stain.

It looks more than likely he will be working in similar capacities for Southpaw.

Jake's got a lot of work to do not to get only in the best shape he's ever been in to be physically convincing as boxer, but to change his instinct of being a rightie and become a natural leftie.

With Jake moving on to Southpaw, it does make  you wonder if the tweets about Jake and Harrison Ford working together could be for Southpaw instead of Everest.

Could Ford be cast as Jake's dad? Or an old boxing coach/mentor?

Don't think Jake's the only one that's had some time inside the ropes.

Austin's had his own time ring time.

*"Peek-a-Boo is a boxing style where the hands are placed in front of the boxer's face, like in the babies game of the same name. It offers extra protection to the face and makes it easier to jab the opponent's face. Peek-a-Boo boxing was developed by legendary trainer Cus D'Amato."

Bizzaro, Jerry

Both Austin and Jake were out this weekend and hitting the red carpet.  Totally different kinds of events that went into the Bizzaro world, that Jake's friend Jerry Seinfeld would say is:

"Yeah, like Bizarro Superman—Superman's exact opposite, who lives in the backwards Bizarro world. Up is down; down is up. He says "Hello" when he leaves, "Goodbye" when he arrives."

Austin rolled into his Vegas with his boys to hit the fight and promote Ray Donovan and he looked every bit the A-lister he plays on the show.

The suit was perfect, none of the ill fitting too short jacket with french cuff undone to make the shirt fit those long arms.  Totally custom made and well tailored.

Hanging with TPTB at Showtime.

You've come a long way Austin.

And yes he brings out his big chunk of gold. To many it looks like bling for ring, but for those in the know it says off the market and his touch of having Jake close.

Sunday night Jake was nominated for, attended and presented the 28th annual Lucille Lortel Awards in NYC.

Now Jake hit the carpet in just a little less than his dashing red carpet perfection.

His jacket just a touch short in the sleeves looked like it was half of a suit, but his trousers definitely not part of this pair.

Slightly short on top below the waist Jake got a case of the too longs.  Causal trousers that puddled around his ankles, it looked like he grab someone else's pair instead of his.

And his shoes not the slim sleek slip ons or oxfords, are more scuffed boots. The  kind of look someone else has sported on the red carpet.   He didn't have a ring to share but maybe the look was a message to his mister, and or he needed the boot heels go with  those too long Austin trousers.

And the beard, while a little wooly, has come into it's own with a little patch of grey that looks like,  "oops you still have a little cream on your face" if you look quick.

Life playing its own dirty little joke.

Jake wasn't only nominated for an award,  he also had the chance to present one and to someone close to him.

His category to announce was Outstanding Female Performance and Jake got the joy of presenting it to his co-star Annie Funke.

Up was down, Down was Up  this weekend with Austin looking every inch  the A-lister and Jake looking like  the up and comer.

Fight Club Vegas

Before Austin headed out to Vegas he got a bit reflective on the backlot.

Wandering the studio backlot late last night, I felt the ghosts of a thousand movie stars all around me.  - AUS10

Hmmm which ghosts?

Then Austin  got to Vegas

Vegas Baby Mayweather vs. Guerrero Pumped - AUS10

and met up with the rest of the Donovan boys (which Liev twitpic'd )

(Nope that's not Austin that's one of his co-stars)

 Liev Schreiber@LievSchreiber
@sho_network our boss Matt Blank...
Now that's Austin in the back.

Then Liev did everyone a solid and tweet a picture of just Austin by the pool.  Thanks Liev.

The Floyd “Money” Mayweather and Robert “The Ghost” Guerrero fight is the biggest boxing event of 2013 and it's Showtime's baby.  The event and the circus that surrounds the fight is the perfect place for the premium cable network to hype their  newest show as the fight is attracting attention from the around the world, and celebrities from all over have come in for the fight and for the pre and post parties.

Showtime will no doubt that the biggest party and the Donovan crew will be front and center holding court.  Talk about a Fight Club.

Ding Ding!

Vegas Baby!!!

Jake's no stranger to Vegas,
just this time he's ditched the points and the giant smooth sphere his dragging around this time is his noggin, not his bubble.
EoW principle photography and filmining in LA is expected to be over tomorrow, Tuesday, but that doesn't mean Jake's done yet.

Jake will be filming in Vegas this week for additional scenes for the movie. He will be heading to Caesar's Place later in the week, without his partner in crime-fighting .

But what about his partner in crime? SAG makes sure that they have Labor Day off? So with another long weekend what will he do?

You know with Austin's white rubber rain go-go away boots, he could dance at one of the clubs at one of Cousin Eddie's favorite casinos.

Now who of the two would check in under Nick Pappagiorgio?

Or maybe it might be more Elvis and Ann Margaret?

It's could be a remake of that tag line ...of a "go-go" goose and that "bye-bye" guy in the fun capital of the world! "

Just keep Austin away from the jumpsuits and the Capes.
What a way to end production and kick off the Labor Day Weekend. Hot desert and Grey Goose pops. ; )
