Burgers and Dogs
What else would be appropriate just days before all the Independence Day festivities but burgers and dogs.
Looks like Jake is a fan not only of the 'Burgh but BRGR. The BRGR food truck has been called to the set to provide burgers and fries. Pittsburgh Magazine had a tipster spill the word that the BRGR truck was called out to an undisclosed location where Southpaw was filming to help with late night cravings of the cast and crew.
Yes Jake went for the "junk" food, but you know with Jake that's really not junk.
BRGR was named one of the Best Restaurants in Pittsburgh has 3 locations (including PNC Park) as well as their food truck. Burger choices include dry-aged prime grass fed beef, turkey, salmon or black bean-corn falafel. The Button Buster, a beef burger topped with braised beef short ribs, white cheddar cheese, bĂ©arnaise sauce and crispy onions. Also a favorite their spiked handcrafted shakes — the salty caramel is combination of vanilla ice cream, bourbon, caramel sauce, sea salt and vanilla bean. Add some truffle fries and that's how junk goes gourmet.
But man does not live by burgers alone this week - what's the 4th without some dogs, and it's all going down in the 'burgh.
It was the 10th Annual "Weiner 100" at Kennywood Park Amusement Park
And the winner of the heavyweights? Oscar Mayer von Wienerschnitzel the First
It's the summer of Pittsburgh.

Tasty Tease
With The Crazy Tree coming back tomorrow, the local Wilmy paper has been doing some pieces on their past OTH Wilmy residents.
While it's always the joke that Austin looks like he was more the junk food eater, it might not be the whole story.
Austin's always been a fan of Mexican food so one of his favorite places in Wilmington, Tower Seven is not a stretch.
And "he also frequents Flaming Amy's, Brasserie du Soleil, Lovey's and Tidal Creek."
This man can not live on Mexican alone and Brasserie du Soleil satisfies his French food cravings.
But it does seem some of Jake's healthy ways seems to have spilled over to him because other favs like Lovey's
a natural food store and cafe, with 100% organic produce and the only organic salad bar in Wilmy and a vegan menu and shopping at Tidal Creek a natural foods cooperative.
And Flaming Amy's? He's gotta have more than one burrito place, right? It's hot fast cheap and easy. Wait is that the food or one of Austin's
porn por favor tweets?
And turn about is fair play. The ever healthy Jake was spotted a few weeks ago in NYC at Bowery Coffee enjoying a peanut butter and jelly donut. Who'da thunk?
How to it burn off ?
A little two wheeling
for Two Wheel Tuesday perhaps?

Gad to know
Little brother will be able to help his on screen big brother when they start filming this fall. How?
Josh Gad is an alumni of Carnegie Mellon in Pittsburgh, so he will be Jake and the rest of the cast and crew some of his favorite haunts. And bet you a buck he knows about The "O" or the The Dirty "O" as it also known. The Original Hot Dog Shop is an institution in Pittsburgh, you think its the hot dogs that made it known, and some go for hoagies, but most say its the french fries that are reason to go. A medium can feed 3-4 easily.
Great quote about The O: "Everything terrible -- but tasty -- you ever consumed in college, served up by people who wouldn't bat an eye if your stomach exploded like a pinata right in front of them. That's 'The O' all over."
And then there are those tasty beverages that come in 40oz, and I don't mean soda and it isn't not some tasty reserve either. Oh no! Josh has never had one of those . Ever.
But would Jake to a institution of grease, junk, and late night low down malt liquor? This is the farthest thing from fine dining. But you know who would. Someone who orders The Big Boy off a truck for breakfast perhaps? Wild Turkey and Colt 45, oh someone's going down.
Another Carnegie Mellon (or Carnegie Institute of Technology then) alum you might know Andrew Warhola. Yup, Andy Warhol born and raised in Pittsburgh.
Think this is the closest to junk/fast food Jake has gotten to.
Does any else get the hysterical irony that movie about a pill that's claim to fame is make steel hard rods, is being filmed in the city known for steel.
