It's Derby Day.   And you know that means that Mr. Southern Comfort (or Wild Turkey if you want to split hairs) is celebrating somewhere.

Austy is that you in that pink topper?

Or maybe you are just doing your best Molly Ringwald movie homage at home.   Remind us again where that is?  Oh yeah that's right.    Perhaps even for a New York minute.

Derby'd Up

Back on the color wheel

It can't be Derby Day

without it being in the pink.

OMG can't have Austin missing out on his pink hat day.

In fact OMG is a big fan of the Tall Texan going pink:

And over the years we've done pink hats

and pink somberos for Cinco de Derby

 We've given Austin pink socks

And gone pink for Two Wheel Tuesday

 And Austin's done his part.

He  traded the hat and julep for a snug shirt and shot

May we suggest this Derby Day you're all set with the bourbon

grab some mints

and  just save the horse ride the cowboy

 

Ohh and yes someone did a pink hat for (well Pre-) Derby

But we know Austy - you thought of it first.

From Beverly MA, Wicked Strong was renamed after the bombing last year, and over the year Wicked Strong's owners have donated 1% of their winnings to the One Fund to help those impacted by the bombing.  But for the Triple Crown, the owners have said they will be donating 5% of their purse.

At 6 to 1 Wicked Strong has the second best odds to win.
