Double Up

 For those who didn't get a chance to check Jake doing a double play now's your chance.  Enemy is now available on DVD and Blu-ray.

In addition to the movie about Anthony and his doppelganger Adam, there is an additional special feature on the DVD.    “Lucid Dreams: The Making of Enemy”  is featurette of the making of the movie and it may include that "lost" interview with Jake about the movie that popped up online for all of a day and vanished.

Enemy created much discussion amongst those who saw it, and there is almost as many interpretations of what it all meant (especially the spiders ) as there were movie posters.

Blued and Bunned

Jake suited up and slicked his bun as he appeared at the premiere of Enemy in Madrid tonight.

 It looks like Jake celebrated the first day of Spring with beautiful medium weight trim cut blue suit, while bringing back his go-to (that's go-to not go-go) boots. Unfortunately the broke the line of trousers catching the bottom the pant leg and grabbing it and not letting go.

Jake baby, one shoe does not fit all occasions.   Bring back those Cordovans!

Jake bunned up pulling his long locks back into a low knot for the event.  Who's waiting for a braid or a messy chignon for his next public appearance?  Jakey you've got the hair - have some fun with it while you can. Who says you can't do a French twist.

But seriously  Jake have you thought about what are you going to do when it's time to cut your hair?

 May OMG suggest something?

For many years you support causes such as Stand Up 2 Cancer raising awareness and funds. You've support charities, visited cancer centers and talked about how cancer has touched you life.

So maybe this next haircut when you have to lose the locks, give them to Locks of Love.

 It's great hair to gift.  It's definitely long enough, hasn't been chemically treated or dyed and it's thick as hell, it would make a great wig for little girl who's lost their own hair.

And the man bun lives on.

On the Green

Today was all about the wearing of the green, and for Jake that's not a problem since he is the New Mr. Green Jeans with those favorite cargos.

Speak of Jake it looks like Everest has moved on from Italy and off to England to Pinewood Studios.

This is the only kind of snow most want to see at this point of the year.

Jake won't have to worry about any real snow for a while, especially later this week when he is scheduled to appear in Spain to promote Enemy.  

While Jake was wearing the green most of this past year, Austin was getting some Irish eyes a smilin' on three of his project this year.

From Parkland about the assassination of John F Kennedy of one of the most famous Irish-Americans ever to being a part of the Donovan crew who's fixer is another Irish-American by way of Boston too,  to playing Tommy Donnelly in the movie San Patricios.

And while it is the custom to wear green,

Talking about One's Enemy

While Jake is working in Italy there is still a movie to promote and earlier this year Jake went up to Toronto to sit down with well known Canadian talk show host George Stroumboulopoulos to talk about Enemy

In addition to Jake's Vanity Fair interview  he sat down with the CBC's Q guest host Brent Bambury to talk about Enemy.  Denis earlier last fall said in an interview with Q that the movie really "gets into his leading man's real mind -- calling it a a documentary about the subconscious of Jake Gyllenhaal --- something the actor identifies with to a certain extent."

Jake call it more collective -"In a way, it's really about the exploration of all of our unconscious."   But which is it subconscious or unconscious there Jakey?

It's Awarding

While Jake is busy in Rome a bit of news for Jake's recent work.

Prisoners was nominated for the monthly British film magazine Empire's Jameson Empire Magazine Award.

Prisoner is nominated for Best Thriller  along with Captain Phillips, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire,Now You See Me and Trance.

You can vote for this and other film catagories at Empire Magazine's site.

But it just wasn't Prisoners getting some recognition, Jake's performance in Enemy has too.

Jake was nominated for Outstanding Male Lead Actor at the Canadian Screen Awards for his role in his and Denis' other collaboration.   The awards will be presented on March 9th at 8pm EDT.

 Speaking of Enemy - while is already available to watch on pay-per-view, the movie will be premiering in theater in March. And with any movie coming to theaters there has to be trailers. This is the Red Band (read probably NSFW) teaser trailer.

Jake and Amy Adams have signed on to star in the Prohibition era drama “Ezekiel Moss”.

The story is of Iris a widow ", who, emotionally fragile after the loss of her husband, runs a boarding house  in a small town overrun by religious fervor  provide for her and her spirited son, Joel. Her life is forever changed when she falls in love with Ezekiel Moss (Jake), a mysterious drifter has the divine ability to channel and physically inhabit the spirits of the dead.

This is the sophomore directorial project for actor Philip Seymour Hoffman.

Jake you've got the drifter part down pat 

but it's a  little shape-shifteree  - hmmmm who would know something about that?
