In His Words

Fifty years ago the world was forever changed.  For those who remember where they were when it happened and for those who came after, all  have experience a world that lost a piece of its innocence.

Austin has always been an admirer of JFK.  Way before he was committed to Parkland  he took a moment at the White House to pay homage.

And later when he became a part of  Parkland his pride of being a part of the film about that day in Dallas was obvious.

Several day ago Austin tweeted this quote

"Conformity is the jailer of freedom and the enemy of growth." -JFK

Austin be that non conformist you want to be and break out.

Happy Austin Friday.

Lights Action Home

While Jake's doing a movie set in Boston,  Austin is doing a movie about one of  the most famous men from Boston.

Austin's headed back to Big T do take part in the production of Parkland, the  true story of the chaotic events that occurred at Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas on the day  John F. Kennedy was assassinated in November 1963.

Austin is joining an all-star cast in the telling of events that day from different perspective  and "which draws from author and former prosecutor Vincent Bugliosi's epic Reclaiming History: The Assassination of President John F. Kennedy."

The indie drama has ensemble cast with Paul Giamatti (Abraham Zapruder), Billy Bob Thornton (Secret Service agent Forrest Sorrels), Jacki Weaver (Marguerite Oswald), Zac Efron (Dr. Charles J. ‘Jim’ Carrico), Jeremy Strong (Lee Harvey Oswald) and Marcia Gay Harden (Nurse Nelson). And recently added to the cast are James Badge Dale (Robert Oswald), Jackie Earle Haley (Father Huber), Colin Hanks (Dr. Perry), David Harbour (FBI agent Gordon Shanklin) and Ron Livingston (FBI agent James Hosty).

The film, is being shot in Austin, as a stand in for 1960's  Dallas and "is eyeing a 2013 theatrical release timed to the 50th anniversary of the assassination."

No word about who Austin is playing but let's take some guesses:

Will he be a doctor?  (He does have his own technical adviser (Daddy Nichols) to help him )

 Secret Service?

Could he be a Dallas Patrolman?

A detective?

Or a FBI agent?

Or could a boy from Texas live out his childhood dream and be a Texas Ranger?
