Austin was back in LA and very much his charming self on KTLA this morning talking about not only the River River, but Beautiful Boy too. An being The CW affiliate they had to kick it off with a little bit about OTH.
Austin gives a little fashion commentary about the KTLA crew, pretty much confirms that the baker's dozen is it for OTH, shares a clip of him in Beautiful Boy, and invites everyone to join him for a ride this Sunday. 
He does say he wants to shoot the gun off as Grand Marshal.

Great video of Austin, he's looking good and sounding really confident and relaxed, such a change from interviews early in his career. And what he says about Sophia and OTH, LOL (won't give it away).
And what a cool photo of PG, M and M and M from the road trip. Who has the trippy sneakers on the left--I'm going to guess PG, I think I recognize that pant style. Going to guess M for the middle, and M and M on the right.

Cute post today, and Austin is looking good. What a charmer. He's got a healthy, outdoorsy look to him, and I'm so glad about the LA River Ride.
Austin sounds and looks great in that video. But, what I found most interesting is how when the interviewer gets excited about OTH and mentions how lucky Austin is to be in bed with Soapy Bush as a part of his job that Austin doesn't say a word during the clip. When the camera goes back on Austin, he is gripping the side of the desk and looking a bit distracted. Then when he's asked about directing the kissing scenes he skips right over that topic and goes directly to a discussion about the challenges of directing.
I love the way he talked about the beautiful color of the dress and then waved like a homecoming queen when they discussed whether he would be sitting in the back of a vehicle as the Grand Marshal for the event. Maybe the princess taught him that one!

Well it looks like everyone saw what I saw when I watched Austin's interview the first time.
Yes Austin looks happy confident and relaxed, the only time you see him tense up is about OTH. Not only does he grip the desk but the arm of the chair as well. And then the rest of the time he goes back to talking with is hands. (Can you imagine both Jake and Austin talking at the same time, hands would be flying)
Austin was funny and charming all all of them.
Why am I picturing Austin at the River Ride trying to fire the pistol and take off on the bike. Gun waving in the air above him and the bike going all over the place under him. And of course the pièce de résistance Austin
yelling start your engines all at the same time.
I do wonder if he get's a sash with Grand Marshal in glitter or maybe they' give him a horn that he can beep as he yells Grand Marshall coming up Grand Marshal on the the left, Grand Marshal coming up the left.

I did try to get tickets for the preview tonight right after you posted about it Special, but I didn't hear anything back so I guess it was already full.
Oh yes, Austin had a perfect chance to mention Sophia in relation to his real life, but it was clear that she exists only in OTH's fake life. I've sensed for a long time that he is way over the bearding but stuck with it. There was a noticeable change in demeanor after Sophia spouted off about their relationship.
PG I only wish you had better weather. It should be sunny in Ca 9mos of the year, not cold, overcast and windy.
I am watching A single Man on TV. I've seen it a couple times before of course but since then have watched several shows that Nicholas Hoult was in. Very good actor for one so young. Why are English men such good actors.

Boo on the guns. Guns stink, whether they're in a hand or attached to a shoulder. Isn't it funny how for a female, it's all about the small. For a guy, their masculinity is measured by how big everything on them can get.
You know, this is really irritating as I'm checking my twitter this morning. Because the anchor yesterday on that KTstation is the one who says "He's madly in love with Sophia", it's those words which get shoved into Austin's mouth as if he's the one who said it. And so it's getting retweeted that way. That anchor guy was the one pushing Sophin.
Then when he's interviewing Soapy, he doesn't push it with her at all. And in her interview, when the topic turns to how she began using twitter for global causes, she turns it into a self-indulgent bragfest.
I must have missed the first part of Austin's interview when I watched it because I missed that guy having said the madly in love part. What was also funny was when they're talking about the lavender color of that one anchor's dress and how Austin said it was a lovely color on her and (that's not the part that's funny), what is funny is that the camera rolls to the gal and her posture is not very good at the time, she's all slumped forward, and she's about to hang out of that dress, giving Austin an eyeful. LOL
This Sam Rubin is a Hollywood tool down in LA. He's the same anchorman who had that obvious set up interview with Jake back in November about the pink silly bandz, providing an oh so convenient opportunity for him to ship his niece as the only "explanation" for the accessory. Now, old Rubin shipping Sophin, even though Austin doesn't say a word or indicate any interest in discussing the topic. Another prime example of how the Hollywood closet requires many willing accomplices.
Not only that PG, but for someone like Austin, he's largely known for being an appendage to Sophia. Even on the OTH forums there is very little discussion about Austin as opposed to Sophin.

One thing to remember is that KTLA is a CW affiliate so they will have to go with the affiliate party line of Sophia and Austin being together. It comes from the top down.

Hey, this is cool. I was on twitter and all of a sudden, trending is "Shaq retires" and so I go to CNN and nothing. So I googled Shaq retires and it says that Shaq announced his upcoming retirement from the NBA via his twitter.
