The "Real" Top Ten Reason Jake went on The Railroad Revival Tour.
10. Band camp was already booked up this summer, so he took the one slot left for Spring Break session.
9. Remembering his days in Disco Club, Jake confused the Railroad Revival Train as the new Soul Train. before he realized his mistake.
8. Homegrown flashback. Thanks Dad.
7. Jake dreams of being a woo woo boy went a little awry and he didn't realize it was actually being the train whistle.
6. Needing to get the documentary spot ticked off on his movie making checklist. (Just Musicals and Biopics left. Then it's a shoo in for a lifetime achievement award in 2060.)
5. The band said he could finish using up his Eurorail pass with them before it expires.
4. Starting out April with a guitar and Grylls, and finishing in the horns on the road, Jake hopes he gets to move up to woodwinds and walruses soon.
3. If Arlo can do it, why can't Jake? Although Scenes from San Pedro doesn't have the same ring as City of New Orleans.
2. After missing out on Ridley Scott's Monopoly The Movie and getting a tip the next big blockbuster will be Good and Plenty, Jake prepares to audition for Choo Choo Charlie.

Mumford and Sons come to AHS to jam out with the AHS band, and are so impressed they invite them to the their show later that evening. But not before a pickup game of basketball against the AHS Girls Varsity Team. Oh, and they brought Jake Gyllenhaal along to play basketball too.
Mumford and Sons come to AHS pictures
There's lots of pictures of Jake in that flicker set. But obviously he didn't plan to play basketball. Long pants and Jethro boots are not easy to play in.
We know Austin wouldn't dare wear that since his tweet about how he would wear short shorts. ; )
Jake in Chelsea
I've about had enough of America's "celebration" over the death of Osama Bin Laden. It's embarrassing and it's shameful.
Shepherd Smith of Fox News called this a great day of celebration for America.
Why is that?
The pictures I saw on television of Americans waving the flag, chanting U*S*A and "celebrating" made the American people look no better than extremists who celebrate when something bad happens to the States.
Since when does a person "celebrate" that a person has died? How brutal and cold is that? And what does Osama dying change? The people who perished in the 911 tragedy are still gone. The pain is still there. The towers are still gone. Osama dying doesn't bring any of that back so where's the satisfaction? Where's the glee?
I'm just ashamed to be an American today.
No, I didn't like the man. What he ordered was cold blooded murder and it was horrific.
But cheering and waving the flag over the ambush and killing of another human being is just sickening. We are no better for it and it puts us right on Osama's level.
Jake at Pinkberry in The Big Easy - picture
What was achieved in taking Bin Laden out of the equation was remarkable. It has been the focused goal that has been fulfilled. For the family and friends of those who lost their lives on 9-11, it reminds them that they were not forgotten and that promises made to them, became promise kept. Commendations to the Navy Seals, and the Administration, and to the President for having the courage to take the risk.
It is amazing that they were watching it happen in real time in Washington, it makes you wonder what was going through their mind, seeing what they saw.
I'm glad we don't have to worry about the guy plotting against the U.S., don't get me wrong, Special.
And do I know what it was like to lose a parent, child or friend in the 911 attack? No, I don't.
I just wish it didn't have to come down to cold blooded murder - I mean, another human being was shot in the head. I saw the huge puddle of dried blood on the ground. That's horrific to see, no matter whose blood it is. It's someone else's shed blood.
I see no solace, no victory, no satisfaction in the taking of another life just to avenge another's. That sort of thing should only happen in movies.
LOL, this is kinda funny. I gained a follower today. I have two, count 'em, two!!! whole followers now. I'm sure it's a mistake and she'll unfollow me soon.
LOLLLL!!!!
Fun picture of Jake at Pinkberry.
And the picture of Jake in NY has to make you wonder who is on the other end of the line and what are they saying what to make him have an expression like that. ;)
LOLLLL PG.
Agree with you PG about "celebrating" Osama's death. I'm glad he's gone, he was truly evil, but some of the reactions make me kind of queesy.
If you haven't seen it, the photo released of the White House watching the raid is interesting to see because you can see how disturbed Obama, Clinton, etc. were watching what was going on.
Huff Post
Well, this is certainly interesting...

I always love the Top 10 posts Special, but this one is particularly inspired.
LOL, Dest.
Two big followers!! LOL. Another time I had two followers and the other person must've eventually said, "What the heck? Why am I following her?" and they unfollowed me. LOL!!
I don't exactly tweet a whole lot. Waiting for a tweet from me must be like watching paint dry.
That is interesting PG.
The interesting is about Busy.
And I LOL'd all over again when you talked some more about your followers and paint drying. I guess they think you're someone else.
She's been there since at least the 30th:

I'm still processing the whole thing too, while I'm glad justice was done, I agree, it's not something worth flag-waving and cheering about, but more something that needed to be done in order to protect our and other countries from terrorist attack. The entire mission was amazing, and that it could be followed by our gov't. The victims of 9/11 could never be forgotten, not in a million years, IMO. I do hope to get out to Ground Zero some day to pay my respects. :(
It's Maggie and Peter's wedding anniversary, Ramona was a guest at Birdies birthday so maybe there is some party in NY.
Busy and her husband was spotted in MV with Maggie and Peter so they must be more than just passing friends, plus the whole Jake and Busy being Matilda's Godparents, maybe Michelle and Matilda will join in!

Saw Michelle Williams, Busy Phillips & daughters at The Food Hall. Very cute group.

I have to agree re the killing. I am happy that justice has been reached, and that the ringleader is gone, but cant bring myself to celebrate a death. It just seems creepy and reeks of bad karma.
I've been reading Adam's tweets lately too, PG. And his new boyfriend is hot. They look good together.
Cute post today. I'm glad the train trip is over. Ted has been quiet about Goose and Toothy but ever since Twilight, its not been the same. I never read the comments anymore since there are usually several hundred, all talking mainly about the Twilight gang. Toothy's fans went the way of Jake's fans. Long time readers lost interest anyway since it was so obvious that it was Jake.
Looks like Maggie and Peter celebrated their anniversary at the Met Gala last night. US Weekly
Jake has been no stranger to the Met Gala having gone several years. And don't think Mr. Nichols hasn't been. He attended one year kitted out in Ralph Lauren.(2006)
