While picturgate was going on there was something else going that Jake was attached to too. On the other side of World, Exclusive Films was selling EoW to worldwide distributors at Cannes, without the movie really shooting a single scene yet.
Back from the la plage to the Pacific. It seems Ted was the first person contacted them about the legitimacy of picture. It was after that a statement and reaction happened.
Think it could have been that Ted was from an established entertainment media outlet that made the difference? Or that he knows much much about Toothy ?
Or could it pressure from Exclusive because they were in the midst of selling a movie and probably securing more financing? Selling it before shooting they were selling it all on Jake's name. That could get phones and blackberries burning up the lines to say take care of things.
While Jake is shooting the story of LA Cops coming up against a Mexican drug cartel in July, his race against time is coming to DVD.

That's so funny Special about Joe and OTH, I totally blanked on that being him, guess my subconscious didn't.
Jake could probably never win a lawsuit over this stuff, but the letter intimidates people into taking down the picture because they know they'd have to spend a lot of money on attorneys' fees to defend themselves, and it's not worth the expense.
You could have a point about them trying to sell the movie Special. There have been other films that were trying to get sold at Cannes before they're made, guess it is or is becoming a common thing with really small independent films.

I love it that Jake was so pissed off by these pics that he felt he had to call his lawyers in to threaten people. I guess Adam Latrine didn't do the trick. Jake is one tough boy. You can bet marriage talks are under way. It is the only thing left that they got.

I think time will tell the reason for the reaction to this whole thing. It's a lesson we've learned about other things.

Yeah, I remember that yogurt excursion back in 2009. Jake was not a happy camper, was he? Probably, ambushed by the Ice Maiden for another photo op when he was out with the family. Ted wouldn't have it any other way because he's a romantic at heart. He hasn't written about them in ages, or even answered questions, so he doesn't have a vested interest in the story, although I do wonder how much real information he gets on them anymore.
